SuperCity: My Town Life Sim Reviews

All my cash is missing and everything started over all the land I purchase with my cash is now gone I have to re buy them plus I spend 99cents of my own money for game cash. What happened? The game won’t load stating it was down this morning now I open it back up this afternoon and everything is gone please fix or give me back my money. I AM NOT PLEASED AT ALL PLEASE FIX. THIS UPSETS ME VERY MUCH AND I WAS JUST STARTING TO LIKE THE GAME.

THANKS FOR FIXING THE PROBLEM. THEY RESPOND TO THE ISSUE VERY FAST. I APPRECIATED YOUR HELP AND GREAT CUSTOMER CARE. I RECEIVED ALL MY SUPER CITY CASH BACK THAT I PAID FOR. IT TOOK ME BACK TO THE TUTORIAL OF THE GAME AND I LOST ALL MY LAND THAT I PURCHASED BUT THAT WAS OKAY. I GOT MY SUPER CASH!!!!!!!!!!

I think I might uninstall this game. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the game very much to the point when stupid things happen it upsets me. When I had a problem I reported it and they kind of fixed it. I received my cash back but I had to do everything over okay no problem. Now I continue to play I spend another $1 off my own money and what happens again more of my super cash is gone. This game bites especially if your crashing and stealing on purpose.

UPDATE: I’ve added one extra star for giving me some of my energy back. It was wrong to take it in the first place.

I’m at level 49 and my maximum energy capacity decreased to 91 following the MANDATORY update. I read that this was done on purpose because it was too easy. That’s a lie because the only way I’ve advanced this far is because I’ve spent lots of my actual, hard-earned money. So I don’t appreciate losing energy. It’s an addicting game, but you will spend real money if you want to advance. This is a fun game, but the game developers are definitely greedy and keep responding to people’s genuine concerns with the same few annoyingly lazy answers: “we think it’s makes the game more fun to play with friends”, “there are lots of ways to earn more bucks”. They forgot to add, “but it will take weeks before you earn enough bucks to do anything meaningful.” The developers keep saying they are trying to make the game more interesting, challenging and that they want you to spend more time developing your city. However, we are telling you that you are doing exactly the opposite. You need to listen to your customers, especially those who are spending real money. I will not be spending anymore money moving forward and will delete the game if this prevents me from advancing. And give me my earned energy, which was earned for advancing each level, back!

After speaking with support and them trying to justify the part they play in getting people to dump money into this game I will be deleting SuperCity! They are full of excuses and lies, after seeing other reviews of people with same issues SuperCity won't last long and people will stop playing, the higher the level the more money you have to spend!!

First I've played many games and never have I been forced to purchase "super bucks" in order to complete tasks and you have to for many of this games tasks! Sure you can win a few bucks here and there but not near enough when a store you need is 60, 90, or 110 dollars and you need all of them at the same time! Then there are the timed events that you have to keep restarting because you can't get the money in time!
Second support is full of excuses and justify ripping people off by saying there are a couple of mediocre methods of obtaining "super bucks" that most of us aren't able to sit and play for hours to obtain or half the time are impossible to get.
This game is fun to play on a certain level but you just end up completely aggravated and frustrated when you're unable to finish most of the tasks! And you feel cheated when your being asked to spend money all the time!! So these things need to be fixed soon or expect most people to catch on and be done with this game I see people dropping off my friends list like flies for this very reason!!!

I love this game because unlike a lot of today’s games, SC isn’t telling you every move you have to make so the player isn’t really “playing,” just mindlessly clicking when the game tells them to. In this app, you get expanses of land that you can decorate as you desire. They offer quests which give you opportunities to earn rewards, including buildings, and when the quests have a time limit it is for at minimum several days. Very important and also unlike other games, this app gives you 10 “SuperBucks” every five days that you consecutively log in (the in-game cash you have to spend real money on), and/or gives you opportunities to create buildings or landmarks to generate these SuperBucks. My personal experience with customer support has been super...they have twice resolved an issue for me, one which was totally my own fault being a newbie to the game. I once had a similar issue with a different game and while they fixed it, they also treated me like I was 5 years old. Not this app..they were kind, helpful, and made me feel like a valued customer; that is why I gave them a 5 star. I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do.

First of all, the challenges NEVER END! And they even made sure that they heard the neighbors request for the challenges to be more accessible without paying. I never feel like I have to pay but that it’s a possibility with the sales. BUT if I stuck to my challenges I could possibly achieve what I could buy. Also, the characters are visible and have personalities. You can visibly see them living their lives rather than seeing a random blurb giving you their words and emotions. You can tell they work extra hard on details. When there is a fire, you see the actual firefighters. The club looks amazing and fun because you can see dancing. It’s a world that is cared for and only gets better if you care for it and others! I feel like technology can make you pretty selfish and in your own world, but this game positively forces you to interact and help other neighbors and it return you gain energy! And it feels great when others help you too! You actually WANT to have more neighbors and help others! Also, you learn a lot about strategy and seeing others cities gives such inspiration! Check it out! But get ready to be ADDICTED! HAHA ! LOVE YOU this app!

I LOVE this game. I’ve been obsessed with it for the past two months now and play on a consistent basis. Well, up until now... I still play daily but am definitely not as avid as I used to be solely based on the fact that I spent way too much money on this game. Waaaayyyy too much. I have to thank my bank statement for smacking hat realization in my face! 😅 It’s a shame you have to pay towards it with your own money to get the big quests done in the time given. It’s an unrealistic expectation on your part to believe that we will all be glued to our phones with no other responsibilities in our personal lives so it makes it that much harder for us to achieve the levels. I’ve since stopped putting the amount of money into it because it was ridiculous and got way out of hand (which I’m sure you as the developers want). SuperCity also crashes every time I go to visit a neighbors town and it also crashes when I try to play ads to get extra power. That’s usually when I give up on the game for the rest of the day. I know it’s not my phone or internet connection because both have amazing service and range. Please find a way to fix all of this because from what I’m reading, I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Update: After hearing back from the developers, I decided to continue playing. I now currently have 8 open quests...ALL requiring me to buy additional buildings with cash (actual money). In order to complete these, I would have to spend 490 bucks or $15. And that’s just at the moment. What happens on the next new quest, oh that’s another $5. Sorry, this charade is ending and I’m deleting SuperCity !

No doubt this game is addicting but the further you advance, the more the developers require you to spend your own money. Sure you can accrue "bucks" in-game, but the accrual rate is mind bogglingly slow. For example, a current quest (just one quest!) requires a purchase of 110 bucks. If I played actively, I'd be lucky to earn 2 bucks a day. At this rate, it'd take me nearly 6 weeks to buy one building for one stage of a quest. And again, that's just ONE quest.

I don't mind spending a couple bucks here and there but almost every quest after level 30 requires a purchase for one reason or another. This gets old really fast. Unless this is changed or updated to allow me to earn "bucks" is added, I'm not sure how much longer I'll play this game. I'll hold out for a bit longer but I'm not going to make this game a constant money pit. It's fun but doesn't justify that kind of investment.

Super City has great graphics and the game play is fun. My main issue the constant expectation for you to spend money. Yes you can earn game money while playing, but the amount of money will no way allow you to play any of the timed games. The timed events are constantly asking you to buy buildings that requires only dollars. A lot of fun, but either be willing spend money frequently or understand exclusive items and a good portion of timed events are not going to happen for you.

UPDATE!! What the developer is referencing is the wheel that I have landed on cash 3 times in the 4 months playing. I have a casino that gives me 1 dollar a day. Sometimes when I finish a quest I get 3-5 dollars. With this being said how exactly does one budget for 105 buck building required to finish the dragon quest without shelling out any money? Shall I play 8 months and save? One idea is allowing users to get rid of quests instead of making keep these quests in their queue. At this point after seeing how ridiculous your response is I know that this is your goal is to frustrate gamers to spending their money to make quests go away...read all the reviews. They all say the same thing. I'm done...you can't even be honest with people.

I am addicted to this game - I spend my down time at work to play and any change I get while home/on the go. However, I do have some issues with it...

1. To complete goals you have to buy (real money) buildings - which this is only a problem with me bc I’m impatient and broke! LOL. I also want to add, I think this is the first game I have ever played that actually gave away ‘super bucks’ so easily. I’ve gotten them on the wheel of fortune a hand full of times - the casino/mayors house gives you some - if you play everyday for 7 days in a row you get some more! Really makes you look forward to a lot of what the games offers.

2. This has to be my BIGGEST and last complaint - why can’t I buy more land?! I know you can open the “Enchanted Valley” but I want to work and improve my city as much as I can before I move to the next place! I have bought all the land I can - which it confuses me bc I can view my whole screen (iPhone 6) on grass that I can’t buy. Ridiculous. I don’t want my houses on top of each other to make more money - I things looking professional so I want some of my residents to have yards, ya know. If you could let the players buy more land - especially the land they can see - that would be fantastic!!!!

When I downloaded this game a few months ago, it became my favorite game almost immediately. But as time went on and my level grew higher, progress became slower and slower because, Mr DEVELOPER, I WILL NOT invest my hard-earned money into a bunch of icons that I will one day get tired of playing. This game is digging deeper and deeper into our pockets as we level up. And I’ve read your (the developers) comments about how its more amusing and challenging this way. Well, Mr developer, the only one amused here is you!! I do not find it amusing to have to spend my real greenbacks for your play money. BUT I can see how, every time someone spends their real cash for your play money, that it amuses you. I bet your laughing all the way to the bank!! Just like some of the other fed-up players, I too have a growing list of quitters. I’m going to join them. This game could be a fun game if you would just get your hands out of our pockets. And to add to the aggravation, you make us watch two videos before we can ask our friends for energy? AND now we can’t even quickly click through the energy in our inventory. I don’t have the patients for this game anymore. So I’m removing your hand from my pocket, and you can laugh at some other poor unsuspecting victim.

Start saving $ you are going to need it. Very fun game but without spending real money you DO NOT stand a chance. I continually need buildings that produce items needed to progress, but they all require you to spend real cash to purchase (which I did, but now regret). I need to build buildings to increase population but I can’t expand the city because they will not give me items to make the tools needed to expand. Ex: sheets of metal are pretty much non existent, yet you need them to make lots of pickaxes to clear land and if you are lucky enough to get a few they require you to use them to make other items that are needed to complete tasks / quests. You will be required to purchase a building in order to start a quest. It will cost hundreds of thousands of coins. You will try to save up, get really close then...surprise! Yet another task will require you to take a lot of those saved coins to complete a task in order to complete the quest. This happens over and over again. I love a challenge but hate being pressured to spend money. So, while I enjoy this game I find it to be a “money pit” and recommend it only to those who don’t mind loosening their purse strings, a lot!

I have reinstalled app on my pro max 11 phone more than 15 times in two days hoping whatever is going on in the developer world is fixed. It is definitely not a issue with something I am doing. I have a husband who is a programmer so please update app. I really like the game and at level 100. If playkot is having technical issues on your end please notify everyone in the game when loading or if updating. Your most recent update it seems has some fixes to be done, also I purchase coins every month and now feel scared to do so since the dinosaur pops up. I also this past month had lost all my 300 friends due to some language inside friend app showing up on my face which is only now a kiddy icon and can not change avatar to my facebook profile photo. Not to mention it crashes a lot. I am going to hope this gets fixed soon if not I have to permanently delete the game and spend coins on another developer game app. Not very good for business.

Reprehensible customer service and should be investigated by Apple (IMO) for misleading and false practices. In-App purchases that are approved, with a receipt from Apple but not received are ignored by Playkot support. I emailed them multiple times through the game and got notification that it was received. Showed receipts but support stalled and claimed it was an Apple issue (it wasn't. Apple said to contact the developer). Said it may take up to 24 hours to get the in app purchase - never has before. *Ever*. Support sent me through a troubleshooting article that had steps that are no longer even pertinent on the later iOS versions. There is a known Facebook bug which they acknowledge but could care less about .. they keep telling people to delete the game and reinstall it and then connect it back to Facebook without losing data. You do that and discover you can't connect to Facebook anymore. Email support and wow.. it's a known bug. Would have been nice to know that BEFORE they told us to do it. Utterly useless.

Love the game but the updates are too large. Needs to be incremental updates if they are going to be large updates. I do not have WiFi access during the week when the updates are pushed and cannot play until updates are made. Can’t override and continue to play older version until I am able to connect to WiFi. I only have WiFi access on weekends. If updates were a little smaller, normal data could be used. I always get the message that the update is too large. I choose to update anyway and it never starts to update. Only starts when I connect to WiFi. Other games that have large updates will still update using normal data when I choose to update anyway, they just take a little longer. I’ve lost a lot of things in this game because time runs out while I am not able to update. Kind of upsetting when I have paid for cash packages in order to play. Not everyone is able to connect to WiFi for larger updates.

I read the reviews beforehand but still started to play because I have been looking for a game like this. I loved it right away and became a daily player. Slowly but surely I hit wall after wall with quests that required super bucks to complete (and I’m only on level 21!). And while I realize there are ways to earn super bucks for free, it’s just not enough to keep things afloat...and who wants to spend months collecting a super buck here and there to finally have enough to complete one measly quest. I’m ok with spending a couple bucks of my own money when needed but the amount you would have to shell out in order to keep going is unrealistic. With the overwhelming consensus of the reviews being the same, I would hope that they would have made some changes and backed off on the super buck thing a little but it doesn’t seem like that is going to happen so like most others, I’ll probably be forced to stop playing. Very disappointing.

Love the graphics in this game and incredibly addictive. You can spend your time decorating, completing quests, and helping friends. Gambling for items is my favorite. Also rushing to get the special building of the week.

However, after a month, deleted the game. The loading of the game, and loading to visit each friend is too loooong. When there are more than 45 friends to help, it's odd to wait so long. It's also so expensive. Earning superbucks takes weeks if not months to complete some quests. I already spent $5 for one special quest building of the week, otherwise would have lost it. The most disappointing part was that this special building nor any of the other ones give any items to decorate the city, just more coins like the other buildings. Willing to spend money to invest in buildings that give items to decorate the city. Have not found another game to offer this either. Will really like to see this!

Either Apple is removing my comments or this app. According to Apple they are not “Supposed “ to but they do! And if you are iTunes, please stop. I’m a paying customer and SuperCity has taken over 2k of my money and the staff have went out of their way to ruin the game for me by not allowing me to participate in quests since September. When I had money returned to me because I invested in an event and I was knocked off their server for 11 days, Daria refused to compensate me even though I asked via email, kindly. iTunes refused to refund me so I went around them and my bank handled it for me so that may be why the staff are so angry with me. I sincerely apologize 😭😭. Beware if you have received any phishing links via Facebook, it’s very likely it could be 🤫🤐😬😬🤬🤬🤬🤬. And to this app I really did enjoy your game, obviously you must know that or you wouldn’t have started this war with me but I’m watching you. I have friends in high places...stop with the ph$%**ng!

I really liked this game, however there are ALOT of misspellings in this game. There were quite a few times that I’d spend the daily wheel it would land on something and then switch to something else at the end of the spin which was a bummer since I needed what it originally landed on. It’s hard to earn bucks and I just can’t get over all of the misspellings. I see it as though this is a thriving company can’t you use spell check? I’m not going to give my hard earned money out to just anyone. I feel bad for making that the biggest issue but if you’re that determined to make it a success then I just think you’d put more time into it. Letting misspellings go just says that you don’t care that much. It’s just my quirk and it’s apparently significant to me. The timed quests and the amount of time it takes to fulfill orders doesn’t work for me either.

I love the game, customization, quests, lots to do, HOWEVER, 3 of my four quests are at a standstill because they require real money to buy buildings. I know you can earn super bucks but it takes days/weeks to get even just 10 bucks and the buildings/quests require sooooo many sometimes over 100. I don't have the kind of money these companies seem to think grows on trees. The higher the level the more real money they want. Why not a few dollars lower than $10 for unlimited use? I don't want to just keep planting trees bushes etc. I have over a million coins and we can't even redeem some for super bucks. I just keep collecting profits and would like to be able to get farther in the game. It's getting redundant. Also every time I help my 6th or 7th neighbor the game crashes. It also crashes when I try to watch a video. The loading screen keeps flickering between the original and the Holiday one.

I am having problems with some of my buildings there not showing up in my city please fix this and I can not still get in to my super city at all what’s going on with it at the moment couse it won’t let me in.....ok well if you don’t want to lose me better get the stuff fixed on my town couse my stuff is till not showing at all what’s going on. I am still having problems with my buildings what do I need too do get them to come back or what do I need to do to talk to someone in real please tell me what I need from you to fix my stuff on my super city please please tell me...ok I am unhappy with super city right now why are you not fixing things or responding back when I am weighting this stuff to you please get back with me on this please thank you so much rose............
