GTA: Vice City – NETFLIX Reviews

Let’s ignore the fact that this is on mobile for a minute. I’ll cut the graphics some slack.

The game looks and feels FINE, at best. And FINE is okay, but given how bad things have been for the PC and Console versions, we can all accept that this is better. But there’s still issues here and some new problems too. For one, the controls are somehow *worse* than the anniversary versions on mobile, even though the schemes are almost identical. Usually they’re supposed to scale depending on the device you’re playing on, but I’m on an iPhone SE, yet the controls were puny and horribly placed. I would’ve actually liked an almost exact copy and paste of the original controls, because at least they kind of worked.

Another thing is the compatibility. If you have an iPhone SE (2020), don’t play this game. Avoid it. It’ll not only murder your battery, it’ll also kill your phones performance. Right after I closed the game, it took about 20 minutes for my phone to cool off and run like normal, which is way longer than normal. This game was not designed for the SE.

Lastly, while I do appreciate the bug fixes, the games still don’t feel right. And there’s still the problem of getting catapulted across the map for hitting a ped the wrong way (which wasn’t present in the original game/games since all three share the same physics). That shouldn’t be an issue still two years later. I see the smaller changes, but I don’t think it’s quite there yet.

I’m playing Vice City version and there’s many bugs to be fixed. In the mission “all hands on deck” it glitched so it doesn’t play the cutscenes. To fix it just wait around like until it finally triggers a cutscene while your in the yacht. Also after the mission ends you can’t continue. It’s bugged and now I’m just stuck roaming free roaming and completing side missions. Please fix so I can continue playing the story mode I’m only a quarter of completion in the story.

i love the this app series, and this is by far one of the best of them. i’m glad i had a controller because using the on screen controls is garbage, we need a this app 4 port🔥🔥

If I’m doing vigilante missions WHY?? do I have the police on me?? Another thing is when a police car rams yours say goodbye to your car, no horn or sirens button, the auto aim is garbage. Also the phone gets hot,it lags like crazy, in the taxi missions pedestrians just stop spawning, the wheelies are trash, one bad corner and the car flips over with no way of stabilizing it. NO CAMERA OPTIONS?? Touch control to close together & small. Also the game completely deleted my autosave file once just randomly, if you’re playing music on your phone every time a new song comes on it pauses it which is really annoying and dumb.

The game is very nice but there is a problem I was doing a mission called love juice where you have to get something from dealer when I go to dealer it say sound the horn of car but there is no horn any any car there is a low rider car with hydraulics I used hydraulics to use the horn the horn sound came but I am still stuck at the mission help me

I played gta3, vice city, San Andreas the collectors edition on the phone and they ran great, so I figured the definitive editions would look good also so for the first 10 minutes it seemed to be fine then her whole game is just a non stop lag zone. The graphics just like on console aren’t really that much better so if you were gonna buy this or play it threw Netflix I’d just save my time really you’ll enjoy the collectors edition way better because it’s actually playable……..

I’ve been wanting to play the trilogy for a LONG time and now Netflix has put it into my grubby little mitts for no extra charge. I’m too broke to afford it in console so this is huge for me. Been having a lot of fun in III and VC but trying to find time to download SA. (huge file size)👍

Even though sometimes it’s laggy and more other bugs we user don’t like Netflix made I better cuz there was not bugs and lags this game is good and cuz this reminds me of my old favorite times playing this game thanks Netflix

Great homage to Miami Vice. Hopefully the mob is scripted better.

I’d like to begin playing, but the dialog on my iPhone 13 is horrible. I’m not sure about the sound effects. It sounds like they ate talking through a fan. With a click in each cycle. Restated my phone the same. The music on the opening was clear. I’m using my BT heating aids. Speaker isn’t an option.

Big fat boy is going to get you. Some of you guys need to get a grip on your own self before they make you feel like a loser or anything else you can be. Rooftop pizza is not the answer.

I played the game for hours completed many missions and when I woke up the next day it was all gone because there is no auto save feature..

Why not just download the whole game from the start instead of breaking it up as 2.8 go and then 1.27. Not a huge deal but why waste my time?

I have the latest iPhone, and GTA requires a download within GTA when you open it. Once it hits 100% it resets to 80% and keeps repeating. GTA never started and does not work at all…also it’s a joke how R* decided to sell Legendary games to Netflix. I don’t even understand how that came to be…

Would this touch-controller version do some regularly update/content in GTA store in the future？

The game is super smooth and brings back childhood memories but there is no sound. I tried multiple remedies and nothing works.

In the most mission don’t appears the portal to do the mission
Vince’s mission is an example I can’t finish the game because I stay on top the portal and dont start the mission because the portal doesn’t exists . The biker’s mission is another example that it happens.

I can’t even play because when I try and play and downloaded the update but the line keeps rewinding does anyone else have this problem or is it just me

I can’t complete a mission as there is no horn.

I love the port but the few issues I have is the resolution setting, I always have to fix it and manually bring it all the way up. I hate that the setting won’t save that for me even if my game runs more laggy I want the resolution to stay at the highest withought me manually changing it every time. The other big issue is the auto save, it always puts you back in the last checkpoint or start of mission even if you already completed it. Why is there no save being made after I completed a mission?

Can’t imagine trying to play this using the onscreen controls but you can use a Bluetooth controller so it feels very close to the original on the PS2. My controller has a slight button remap (why?) so the in game button hints don’t always match to the correct action but you quickly adapt. Graphics have been enhanced. I read elsewhere that the soundtrack changed slight due to music licensing reasons. Just amazed I can play this classic on my iPad for free (well with my Netflix subscription).

There’s certain missions that are completely unplayable in terms of difficulty, then the npcs are always crashing into my vehicle and are driving on the wrong side of the road most of the times they are always running me over when on foot ,also decrease the wanted level in certain missions because the police in this game are far too aggressive and will continuously slam into my vehicle until it eventually catches fire once I get 4 stars or more. If you want to receive better satisfaction of these games then maybe listen all the negative feedback that other people have to give of this game and try to make it so that everyone can have a joyful experience.

I played the game already back then on the computer and it brings back nice memories. It was very satisfying to play it again and fight against the old game mechanics 😅
But Igot one issue.
How do you aim with a pistol at the store owner to fulfill robbery’s for 💯 %. They NPCs don’t act when aiming with a MG and the Handguns will fire right away?

I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256gb so this game runs smoothly and looks great on my phone. Honestly no complaints in the game or the missions, except for the fact that there is no way to honk cars / motorcycles when playing on the 13 pro max, the sound horn button does not appear anywhere on the screen or in the settings. The only reason this is so important is for one of the missions called Love Fist where you have to pickup some “packages” but in order to do so you need to honk ur car / bike. Because of this stupid bug I am unable to properly continue the game…..

The game was working pretty smoothly till a couple minutes ago. You did occasionally see a couple bugs in the game like your game freezing for a second when driving, sometimes your screen changing color. Well i was doing the mission Cop Land and after i completed it, it took me out of the game for no reason, i closed GTA and tried to get into the game and nothing. I even tried redoing the mission and it took me out of the game again.

So far I’ve had to delete both games because for some reason they just stop working. I was excited to play them but I wasn’t able to click maps on vice city and no new missions would pop up after I finished the mini helicopter one. For San Andre’s the camera view literally changed when driving and no matter what I tried in the setting it did not work. Like what are we doing here.

I downloaded this game despite knowing about reported bugs, but my experience has been far from smooth. The downloading process keeps restarting, leaving me stuck at the loading screen. I have a stable WiFi connection and sufficient storage, as evidenced by a hassle-free Netflix game download. I hope the developers address this issue promptly for a more enjoyable gaming experience.

Good game for being on a smart phone. Only thing is it glitches a lot. It has gotten to the point that once I’m at Home Screen, I click resume and then it loads for a second then closes out by itself. It will not allow me to play it anymore so I have to delete it.

When driving the camera automatically shifts between each camera angle/view every 5 seconds or so. It makes the game unplayable. This is playing while using Backbone. This problem doesn’t seem to happen when using touch controls, but it’s not worth playing in my opinion with touch controls.

I would really like to give this game a better review but some of the missions require shooting from a car, helicopter, and tank. The game keeps crashing when I try to shoot and I have to shoot to complete the mission. Please help!

I normally don’t write reviews on games but this game I make an exception for, I really like this game and was excited to be available to play it but I have noticed it’s got a glitch or 2 1 glitch i have encountered is I keep getting kicked off the game a lot at random moments and the other I’m not sure is a glitch but still annoying also I completed a few missions before I started a new game and right now can no longer play it all due to it kicking me off but when I completed a certain amount of missions I bought most if not all the properties and still couldn’t find any more missions even though I know I didn’t complete them all even though I tried something someone said it would fix it but it didn’t for me when these problems are taken care of as soon as possible I will give it 5 stars but until then I’m disappointed with the game right now so I’m only giving it 2 stars. Just be careful if you install this you may find glitches too.

Owning Vice City with in the palm of my hand with Tommy Vercetti was not so easy. Despite not having to manually aim and fire at will, and always spawning back in the beginning of a failed mission, the remodel and enhanced modern design truly demonstrated why the Definitive Edition should have been made exclusively for the mobile devices. It’s only that those things need some improvements.

The game lags, you have to double tap with the horn and the instructions weren’t specific enough to understand that. The game does save my latest mission… however GTA resets a few missions after successfully completing the mission after saving my progress. This has happened a few times..

Overall this game is a pretty good game. It has great graphics and is helpful for people who didn’t have time to buy the game that was released by rockstar on mobile. But one problem about the game is that the button are to small. When I’m driving I keep hitting the brake button due to how small the buttons are. But overall very nice game.

So let me just start be thanking Rockstar Games for Bringing out the Remastered Versions on Mobile, even though considering that they still haven’t launched this app 4, I thought that it would also take a eternity to see the remastered versions of the this app Trilogy, however that wasn’t the case at all! In fact, I am very pleased to see that Rockstar games were able to release it so quickly on mobile. I do have a question however, if i already purchased the older mobile versions of the this app Trilogy, why do I also need a active Netflix account to play them? Shouldn’t I be able to play them considering that I already purchased the older ones, or why didn’t you guys simply just re-charge us another $5.99 or $6.99 for each individual game? Because instead, now I have to commit to a monthly everyday subscription to Netflix in order to play the remastered versions. And my next question is this, where does Netflix come into play with Rockstar games, and how or why is there a collaboration between the 2 companies? Lastly, I did notice some lagging while playing the games, but I’m sure you guys are on top of that and are fixing all the bugs and stuff, so my only request is that you Please don’t stop updating these games seeing as they do tend to have some technical issues sometimes. Overall, very pleased with the Games.

Game started off good with no problems but then as i was getting deep into the game it deleted my progress and i had to start over. Very annoying since some of the missions are not so easy and are difficult to pass all over again. Once i got back to where i was , it deleted my progress once again and i deleted the game out of frustration. I made sure to go to the cassettes to save my progress yet it still didn’t work so FIX IT BRO

I don't know why but my graphics while playing is blurry and my phone is 14 pro which should be fine to play it
if you guys know a way to solve the issue please help me out
