Contrary to most reviewers, I’ve found that their bus data is the most accurate out of all the apps I use - however NextBusOfficial has completely stopped working for me!! It started with it crashing whenever I would try to tap a particular line to see more times, which was annoying but I could live with. I emailed them leaving feedback after updating NextBusOfficial didn’t fix it, but never heard back. Now NextBusOfficial completely doesn’t work for me. It keeps saying there are no stops within my selected distance, despite commuting from the same locations in Los Angeles as I always do. Their website information is still accurate, but not nearly as convenient to use. It’s such a shame because this was the best and most reliable app to use even with my city’s unpredictable buses, but now it’s completely useless. :(

Out of all the other bus/transit apps, this is the only one that “works”, and is the most accurate.
However, there are plenty of glitches, crashes, and inaccuracies, which makes it all the more frustrating. The developers of NextBusOfficial seriously need to upgrade things.
Of course all of these apps are rendered moot, since the mood of any given driver adds to the time delay. That, and the myriad of difficult passengers slowing up the bus even more.

I use NextBusOfficial several times a week, but it’s difficult to rely on it when a bus suddenly falls off the list and reappears somewhat later.

This is especially problematic when a bus from over a mile away, that doesn’t come to the area, shows up on the list.

A useful enhancement would be to allow NextBusOfficial to signal the driver, so that they know where to stop when it’s dark.

For the past week now I’ve been trying to use NextBusOfficial to tell when my bus comes but every time I bring it up, it says there are no busses available as opposed to a couple weeks ago it always had my bus show. On top of that I’ll wait for my bus and it says 5 minutes away when in reality the bus will be 10 minutes or more. Also, I’ve missed my bus and was late because the bus on my schedule will flip around and not even come down my street.

I have pictures of NextBusOfficial telling me for three months that Christmas Traffic would hinder my ride: It was July. NextBusOfficial estimates times (have proven it on many occasions) rather than actually tracking the vehicle real-time. So this is more of a crap shoot, than an educated guess.
Once upon a time long ago, NextBusOfficial was decent... now, Google maps is far more accurate and reliable. Don’t waste your time of data downloading this forgotten relic of an app. R.I.P. NextBus.

When using, you have to make sure you are looking at the correct stop and for the correct bus. Even when, it’s never always fully accurate, always off by a few minutes. Has bugs here and there but not too bad. Good to use as a reference just to get an idea of how long you have to wait for you bus.

I’m trying to use NextBusOfficial to see when the next appalcart bus will arrive and where for appalachian state. it is showing me buses for winston-salem, which is over an hour away. i have tried reinstalling and it still doesn’t work.

Double tap and drag up/down should be zoom in/out on map view. Currently, double tapping just zooms in regardless if you swipe up or down. All other map apps I know use the standard double tap and drag up/down for zooming im/out.

I wish That i could load a image cause its ridiculous that it doesn’t give me the correct time when the bus is supposed to come...the bus came 5 mins early and i had to wait for the next bus that said that it would be there in 96 mins which was actually like 50 mins and the bus is supposed to run every 30 it’s a very huge disappointment to have to walk home from work after a 9-10 hour shif i Stay more than 6 miles away

NextBusOfficial has been excellent the last two years. Recently the 9 and 9R no longer pull up even when I’m at the bus stop. I hope they’re able to fix this. The bus times are in real time and are usually pretty accurate within a few minutes.

I have used NextBusOfficial for years! The next bus app was always accurate and right on point! That is up until these last few updates. Before then I haven’t had problems or complaints. However know it’s a mess barely loads and the bus could be right in front of you and it says next bus is 40 mins. 1 start is my rate and it doesn’t even deserve that.

I’m so mad. NextBusOfficial used to work superbly. Now it gives me semi accurate arrival times....for the opposite direction. I thought I just made a mistake but nope, I watch as the bus pulls up on the other side of the street and NextBusOfficial erases the times that I relied on. I never wrote reviews but this is a warning for people who rely on public transportation. Thanks NextBus!

When NextBusOfficial works it is fine it tells you basic information and time. But that’s only when it works 4/10 times you use it. It is almost useless when the times show up. I just wish NextBusOfficial had a little more consistency.

Useful when it works. The majority of the time it does not have current updates or even show bus location. Better luck just looking at local bus schedule than using NextBusOfficial.

I have used NextBusOfficial and it will tell me that a bus is coming in five minutes after waiting five minutes it goes up to ten after waiting ten minutes it goes up to ten. For someone who has to get to class in twenty minutes taking the bus isn’t even an option because of NextBusOfficial.

Great app. Makes it super easy and fast to check his times around you.

It does it’s job tells you when to pick you up

nextbus has been really helpful for me, especially when i didn’t have a car. however sometimes it just says “no stops in your area” when i know there are buses running, and this doesn’t always go away when i refresh NextBusOfficial .

When having the map pulled up and tracking a bus, my Geo location dot doesn’t move with me when walking.

For a public bus that so many passengers and employees rely on, LaGuardia Airport’s bus services that run the Red, purple, blue routes are extremely unreliable and unorganized! And NextBusOfficial is inaccurate, it says that a bus is 2 minutes away, when it could mean 30 minutes. Be prepared to wait outside in the cold wondering where your bus is!

Doesn't have key lines in it's list which is frustrating.

Horrible app the muni is literally never on time with NextBusOfficial and it causes me to be late for work ALL THE TIME! Even leaving an hour early sometimes the muni time will just stay at six minutes for 30 and 40 minutes. NextBusOfficial is garbage

The times are never reliable because you can be at 10 minutes and when you walk out the door, you find out you missed the bus! NextBusOfficial is garbage.

The bus times are never accurate and I’ve been using NextBusOfficial for 6+ months. I would definitely not recommend NextBusOfficial.

NextBusOfficial used to be good in telling when the bus will come now it has become trash it won’t show all buses/train if it does says the bus is coming in 20min then turn to 1min in a heart beat. JUST FIX NextBusOfficial !

Although NextBusOfficial adds some new features, like alerts and a favorites tab, it is hobbled by bugs and odd design decisions. The dreaded "estimated" asterisk appears even on buses two minutes away, and estimated bus positions do not appear on the map. Inbound and outbound buses, which are grouped by line on the web app, are inexplicably shaded in alternating colors, making it harder to scan multiple lines at a glance or quickly find the line you want.

For now, the mobile site offers a better experience, but I'd try NextBusOfficial again once the kinks are worked out.

This used be a great app. Now the Nearest You function hasn't worked in weeks and it's the most important feature. Very dissapointed.
