So on may the 4th of 2022 I was on a”Star Wars day” live hosted by a shop called “very neko” and during that live, they teamed up with the team at Popshop live to give away two tickets to galaxies edge. I WON THAT GIVEAWAY. I was in contact with Alex Kochanik in regards to getting my tickets sent to me. He offered me the tickets or $250 shop credit for Popshoplive . I chose the tickets because that was my dream trip. I sent him the address I wanted them shipped to and he said he would reach back out tomorrow with info on how to redeem the tickets. That was on May 18th of 2022. I have heard absolutely nothing since. I’ve sent multiple emails with no response. Even asked if I could just get the shop credit instead because at this point I had no hope in ever getting the tickets. I recently moved from that address I had given and went to email him to let him know or ask if it’s too late to change the address so I can figure something out. It was then I got an automated email from gmail that the email is no longer valid. Now I feel defeated, disappointed and highly upset. I’m also angry because as a company, they promised me a prize and haven’t fulfilled it. Or even kept me updated on anything. I’ll be getting in contact with a lawyer to see what options I may have.

I’ve been using Popshoplive since 2020 supporting a shop I’ve been purchasing from for a long time. From this perspective the experience has been great and when I have issues I can email them directly.
The issue is with PopShop Live support itself and other sellers. PopShop support is nonexistent, they refer you to the shop in question and say they’ll reply but that doesn’t happen and PopShop Live support NEVER FOLLOWS UP.
I’m currently dealing with an order I made almost two months ago on a single item that I never received. Popshoplive even shows the order unshipped. Before then, it took over a month of awaiting another seller to respond over an item defect I received. One of the advertisements of Popshoplive is to discover new sellers but what is the point when it takes forever to get an issue resolved?

The team directly reached out to me to sell my products on Popshoplive . They mentioned all of the benefits for sellers and I was super excited to host my first live show. I did a video call with them and spent time emailing them and asking questions. I also spent a lot of time making the commercial and posted it on Popshop Live as well as my Instagram business page. I was confused why my commercial wasn’t getting any engagement on Popshoplive . Eventually the product manager emails me and says “great! You have a few new people following your store on PopShop Live! You’ll need to get 30 people to join Popshoplive before it can go live on the Popshop Live.” This floored me. I spent hours talking to them, preparing a commercial, and promoting this ridiculous app for them to tell me that in order for me to even reach buyers on Popshoplive , I have to convince 30 of my own followers to download it and join first. Seriously? I wouldn’t have been as disappointed if they were transparent about this from the beginning. But they told be just days before my show? Absolutely stupid. I deleted Popshoplive after that and decided this wasn’t for me. I’d rather host live shows on Instagram and not bombard my customers with commercials and pressure them to download Popshoplive in order for me to even be displayed on their main page. I want all of my wasted time and energy back. Be more transparent with your sellers next time. Bye.

1.) what’s a cart? Purchase items in REAL TIME and one at a time! You want it? BUY IT. On the fence? Better snatch it before it’s gone! Small businesses mean low stock and each purchase is a diamond. Just remember transactions are FINAL - no buyers remorse!!
2.) this is a community! Meet new people who share your interests. Form relationships with sellers to understand their business and how much they appreciate your support. Everyone on Popshoplive is HUMAN. Speak to others the way you would speak to someone on the street. Be happy for someone who makes a purchase you weren’t able to get. Be patient with sellers using new technology. Be kind and spread joy.
3.) Be patient. Sellers do not have control of shipping or payments once the products leave their stores. this app is a small business similar to these sellers and understand that they are rapidly growing in popularity. Patience is key! Every customer is important to them and they will help you out with ease no matter what! Sellers also do everything in their power to satisfy you. Understand that the entire community has your best interests at heart and will do what they can to help you out.

Kind of addicted to Popshoplive. It’s a great way to support and keep in touch with your favorite stores during the pandemic. I like tuning in to JapanLA, 3DRetro, Leannalin’s Wonderland, Newtown HQ, and QPop because their livestreams are fun, energetic and informative. It’s also cool seeing other viewers commenting and enjoying the shows. Purchasing items is quick and simple, but obtaining popular items is reliant on fast internet. I like that shops are separated into categories on the main page, but I think the search bar could be expanded upon. Since some sellers have multiple shows in one week, it’d be nice if we could combine orders from those shows at the end of the week to be shipped together under one flat rate shipping fee. So far, the PSL support has been quick to respond to any questions I’ve had.

My best friend shared Popshoplive with me and told me to download it. Since then, I’ve been on it at least every weekend! Like everyone, pre-COVID you could find my best friends and I at pin conventions, 3D Retro’s enamel pin market, and so many more events living in LA. Popshop has brought that excitement back of hanging out with friends and enjoying the shopping experience while staying safe. Designer Con was so much fun, it had the same feeling as if it were in person, moving from vendor to vendor and popping in to different shows. The community is great, I’ve virtually met some great people, the vendors are so interactive, and the support that Popshop gives its customers is great! I’ve never had an issue that can’t be resolved by them ☺️

PSL has been a godsend during this pandemic. The full immersion of an interactive shopping experience right from your own home. The ability to have real time conversation with independent artists, retail stores and others during a live event is a wonderful experience; it’s not only shopping but you actually start forming friendships with the audience and hosts. It’s such a great way for artists to reach out to their audience but also a great way for the public to find new artists as well. PSL is so much fun and I look forward to the pleather of shows. This is so much better than just shopping online, it’s redefined the entire shopping experience.

Love Popshoplive. I discovered it through Instagram when JapanLA was promoting their show. From there, I discovered more sellers like Cyndercake415 whom I watch every week. Pandemic times have been depressing and Popshoplive brings some spark back into my life multiple times a week! Even if I don’t end up purchasing something every time I view a show I still have fun watching so it keeps me coming back for the next show. I also love the set schedules so I always know when to expect to see my favorite sellers.

A few things that would improve the shopping experience
•Allow viewers to see how many people are watching, similar to Instagram live videos that have the viewer couldn’t in the top corner.
•Make lightening bolts work in the desktop version!
•When you click on a product in the catalog, allowed the buyer to view the picture larger or zoom in. The top and bottom of the pictures often get cut off.
•Improve transaction speed with Apple Pay.
•Allow viewers to minimize/hide the comments section. It often gets in the way of the show and items I’d like to see/buy.

I’ve been using PSL for months now and It honestly is the best shopping experience! Theres an abundance of shows to buy from; from well known artists like Claudia’s Design Shop, Sparklebombb and ONCH— to bigger stores like JapanLA, Newtown HQ and Giant Robot. The flat rate shipping is one of the best parts when purchasing to your heart’s content! Its easy to track your orders and despite the situation, the shipping is relatively fast! But something I love the most is being able to connect with the sellers and be part of a community who’s out for each other! Its a great dosage of socialization we all need in these times! So more than a shopping experience, you get entertainment and gain new friendships!

Take the uplifting community features of social media, combine with a fantastic app UX for a simplified shopping experience and sprinkle in a dash of behind-the-scenes entertainment by interacting directly with artists/small business owners and you’ve got Popshop Live!

During a time when small businesses need our support more than ever, Popshoplive has provided an innovative approach to how I’ve been able to create new connections and discover new artists (✨JapanLA, Nellie Le and Cyndercake415 are some personal favorites✨) all while purchasing unique pieces from across the US from the comfort (and safety) of my couch!

Popshop Live is changing the way we think of shopping and I can’t wait to see how it expands and evolves over time! 🛒📲

I’ve been using Popshoplive now for about 5 months now and just love it! A little obsessed actually. Love I can scroll through and preview a shop, easy checkout, with flat shipping. The owners of the shop can talk about the product, share the backstory or process and it’s so much more personable! The owners I’ve bought from seriously feel like friends. They know my name, they thank me for my purchase, are so happy to see me join in! Then the packages arrive and they all thrown in little goodies, stickers, and thank you notes. This is awesome! Just recently I was able to attend DCON 2020 and I would not have been able to attend in person. I’ve have made new friends, discovered new artists, new small businesses, that I would not have discovered otherwise! Absolutely great app!

PSL is a fun and easy way to shop live no matter where you are. I’ve been using Popshoplive for about two years now and I literally shop on PSL way more than at physical locations or even on the web. I join and shop at my favorite shops like Mindzai, MyPlasticHeart, StrangeCat Toys, and Woot Bear...multiple times a week! No shame there. They have the most amazing teams, the BEST collectibles, and the chat/community has been so welcoming and awesome to get to know. I’ve made friends via PSL who share the same likes and interests as me so it’s nice to chat with others who enjoy the same things. All I can say is give PSL a shot, it’s really fun even if it’s just to hang out on a live. You’re guaranteed to find something you like!

I started using Popshoplive during DesignerCon in 2020 and it’s been life changing! If you have extra cash to spare, and have an interest in pins, toys, comics, vintage clothes, (you name it) Popshoplive is for you. You can interact with the sellers during their shows and make requests. Some sellers to check out: 3DRetro, Strangecat Toys, Myplasticheart, Next Door Comics, & Midtown Comics. Plus there are always lots of exclusives and items you can’t find anywhere else. Just make sure you have fast internet and even faster fingers if you want to get a highly sought after item. They go lightning fast! Just like all apps, there is an issue with lag sometimes, but their tech team is very responsive and help out as quickly as they can.

Fun and great environment to be at. The sellers are amazing and interact with the audience. For example, if you want to find lots of Sanrio stuff check out the amazing Japan LA. They also have cute kawaii stuff. Are you into essential oils and vintage stuff? Don’t hesitate to check out The Parisian Hostess. Want to know more about coffee? Look no further check out E&J’s Coffee Shop. Are you a pin collector? You’re in the right place because there are various shops who sell them and one of the is Pin Flair Fanflare. Need snacks and squishies? Please check out Cyndercake415 and Bunnifulwishes. Popshop Live crew are amazing in helping everyone out. They’re ready to do so either during the live streams or when you email them about a concern/question. The best part about everything is that you can shop from your own devices. I recently discovered Popshoplive and it is so fun and interesting. The sellers can show their wares live and talk about each item. There’s lots of laughs and conversation in the chat and interaction with the seller/store. A wonderful discovery in these times when we can’t go out shopping much but I will definitely continue even after. Shipping is flat rate on the first item you buy in a store and everything else is free shipping. Which is amazing when you’re buying art and large books. I love this feature so much. I was also able to discover other stores I hadn’t heard of before. There is now a beta feature to watch on your laptop/pc that’s very helpful. Because the only current downside to Popshoplive is that it drains your battery quickly and heats up your phone. But I just watch attached to the phone charger. I definitely recommend Popshoplive!

I’ve been attending live pin shows hosted by Pinflair Fanfare on Popshoplive and it has been so fun! I love the one time shipping cost and it’s really easy to see which items are sold out or still available during the show. The only thing I struggled with was getting my payment and shipping information set up fast enough to get a limited edition item on my first time using Popshoplive . I’m not sure if you can set all that up prior to the event you plan to join, but I recommend you try. Once you save your info the first time, it’s there anytime you log back in to attend another event, so that’s really cool. Attending events on Popshoplive has been such a nice treat, especially during COVID. Most pin shows are in CA, and I could never afford to make the trip from where I live on the east coast. Now I can be part of these events from afar and get a some social interaction in too. Definitely a win win! 🙂

This is literally the best shopping app ever!! It makes shopping literally so easy and so fun and so interactive! I’m pretty sure it’s been mentioned before but it’s like Instagram live meets QVC. You can actually see the item you want to buy before purchasing it and ask questions about any product and get your answer instantly. And the fact that shipping is only 5.99 flat rate is AMAZING. You can keep buying and buying and only be charged once for shipping. If their is ever an issue with any on Popshoplive their customer service is quick to fix it also! There’s so many different shops and shows to find on Popshoplive but my favorite would definitely have to be JapanLA! The community it’s created is literally so sweet and kind! They have the cutest kawaii items ever and Jamie, Nuo Yee, Ambrose and literally the whole team there are amazing! You guys definitely need to download Popshoplive!

I was a customer of JapanLA already,so I knew about this app. With the pandemic ,it was nice to be able to shop like I would in real time. I didn’t realize how many new people I’d meet that are in the same hobbies I am ,and how it’s really more of a community than just live shopping. I crochet amigurumi. I was so unmotivated lately . I didn’t think an app would be the motivation I needed to do it again . When you tune it,it’s more like you are at an event, and as close as a social gathering as possible right now. The other big thing is you are supporting small business. Many of the stores are in my area ( Los Angeles) .this is very important to me . As for the shopping it is live and they will pull an item you are looking for in real time and show it. You can rotate and zoom on a website ,but it’s not the same. Please give it a chance especially if you are into collectible toys,Kawaii,comics,and supporting artist in general

I stumbled upon this shopping app since I follow Japan LA, and I fell in love with the format. I immediately applied to be a seller and it’s been a great experience. Though I personally do more shopping than selling, I can say from both standpoints that it’s easy to buy and easy to sell.

The live shopping experience is about as close as you can get to in-person, and with Covid being an unfortunate part of our realities, shopping in person or traveling to stores around the country may not be an option. This is a great way to feel like you are shopping those niche shops and supporting small businesses. Plus, if you shop or sell regularly, you will make friends easily since almost everyone is super nice and welcoming.

In terms of shops, there’s a lot of art, trading cards, Funko pops and art toy collectibles, crystals, jewelry, custom tees, and more. Even farmer’s markets! There’s probably something for everyone. I’m super glad to have found Popshoplive and community!

I’ve never tried a live shopping event before but Popshoplive really made it an enjoyable experience. It was fun to bid on items, talk with other users and the store owners, and even buy regular items that they decided to put up on the shop. The interface is really simple to use, you just need to be ready with your bids or else you’ll get snipped at the end. I originally only downloaded Popshoplive because Creators Guild was hosting a live on here but the experience was so fun that I’m going to stick around and check out the other stores when they’re live.
