So on may the 4th of 2022 I was on a”Star Wars day” live hosted by a shop called “very neko” and during that live, they teamed up with the team at Popshop live to give away two tickets to galaxies edge. I WON THAT GIVEAWAY. I was in contact with Alex Kochanik in regards to getting my tickets sent to me. He offered me the tickets or $250 shop credit for the app. I chose the tickets because that was my dream trip. I sent him the address I wanted them shipped to and he said he would reach back out tomorrow with info on how to redeem the tickets. That was on May 18th of 2022. I have heard absolutely nothing since. I’ve sent multiple emails with no response. Even asked if I could just get the shop credit instead because at this point I had no hope in ever getting the tickets. I recently moved from that address I had given and went to email him to let him know or ask if it’s too late to change the address so I can figure something out. It was then I got an automated email from gmail that the email is no longer valid. Now I feel defeated, disappointed and highly upset. I’m also angry because as a company, they promised me a prize and haven’t fulfilled it. Or even kept me updated on anything. I’ll be getting in contact with a lawyer to see what options I may have.

I’ve been using the app since 2020 supporting a shop I’ve been purchasing from for a long time. From this perspective the experience has been great and when I have issues I can email them directly.
The issue is with PopShop Live support itself and other sellers. PopShop support is nonexistent, they refer you to the shop in question and say they’ll reply but that doesn’t happen and PopShop Live support NEVER FOLLOWS UP.
I’m currently dealing with an order I made almost two months ago on a single item that I never received. The app even shows the order unshipped. Before then, it took over a month of awaiting another seller to respond over an item defect I received. One of the advertisements of the app is to discover new sellers but what is the point when it takes forever to get an issue resolved?

The team directly reached out to me to sell my products on the app. They mentioned all of the benefits for sellers and I was super excited to host my first live show. I did a video call with them and spent time emailing them and asking questions. I also spent a lot of time making the commercial and posted it on Popshop Live as well as my Instagram business page. I was confused why my commercial wasn’t getting any engagement on the app. Eventually the product manager emails me and says “great! You have a few new people following your store on PopShop Live! You’ll need to get 30 people to join the app before it can go live on the Popshop Live.” This floored me. I spent hours talking to them, preparing a commercial, and promoting this ridiculous app for them to tell me that in order for me to even reach buyers on the app, I have to convince 30 of my own followers to download it and join first. Seriously? I wouldn’t have been as disappointed if they were transparent about this from the beginning. But they told be just days before my show? Absolutely stupid. I deleted the app after that and decided this wasn’t for me. I’d rather host live shows on Instagram and not bombard my customers with commercials and pressure them to download this app in order for me to even be displayed on their main page. I want all of my wasted time and energy back. Be more transparent with your sellers next time. Bye.
