Unusable

While this app is probably the largest online marketplace in Indonesia, there's a lot of room to improve. Today, my customer just made a mistake, buying for one day delivery when in fact, it is a preorder item. When there's no preorder button for Tokopedia , it makes Tokopedia useless. Instead just make it web only version or fix the problem. If Tokopedia doesn't have the same feature as the web, why should I download Tokopedia ?

Also, no buyer protection. Bought something for a gift. Came in a damage packaging. The glue came undone and it’s supposed to be a branded item. Talked to the seller which didn’t resolve anything but instead blaming it on the courier when in truth, the packaging just looks cheap and probably not authentic. Even implied I was complaining because I wanted her to give me a discount for a damage item that was entirely not my fault. Talked to this app staff. Unfruitful. Said they cannot do anything. Useless even trying to contact them.

Layout isn’t exactly user friendly too. Too clutter and confusing.

Chat is erratic, app crashes sometimes

The chat feature in this app is super erratic. Sometimes you send messages and it'll tell you you're not connected to the internet, and not send the message at all forever. I understand it's mostly a web based app, but at least have some decency to disable the send button if no Internet connection is detected. Sometimes it also shows a check just beside the message, but going back you'll find out the message was never actually sent. I'm a seller so this feature matters a lot, please fix it. Not to mention that Tokopedia randomly crashes when typing or doing something, on both my iPhone and my iPad. Tried reinstalling.

Customer service for refund products need to be improved

Customer service isn’t as great as you only have 3 days after receivable arrived to test the product quality.

Sometime the description of the product isn’t detail enough for customers to know what’s applicable and what’s not. In addition, refund customer service not even helping out with the condition of unsatisfied customers.

Likewise, products sometimes arrived later than expected and you’re not there to received it because out of town. This option also not available as you can’t test the product when you’re not available. Refund policy should be done 14 days instead to assist with lots of unsatisfied issues.

Credit Card Payment Issue

I have been having issues everytime I use BCA Credit Card. Whenever it takes to verification (OTP) page it kept saying I have problem with browser cookies whilst I am using apps. If I use other Credit Card merchants, sometime it works. It’s very inconvenient to keep paying with ovo. Tried asking the Customer Service via chat. They never resolve the problems. It’s quite disappointing. Also, the view of the apps are getting overly crowded. The older versions are nicer and cleaner.

BADLY need English language option...

Even if this app doesn't offer translation for the items and descriptions, it would be MOST HELPFUL to us non Bahasa Indonesia readers to have the option for Tokopedia to present all the buttons and error messages in English. Just look at how many reviews you receive in English language. Also helpful would be allow to use copy and paste to make using translation app easier.

Very user-friendly app

Very easy and intuitive to use. The only problem is when I get to the section to enter a review for merchandise I had bought, there is no way for me to get out from that section. No Back button or Cancel button. This is happening on the iPad version of Tokopedia . Update: the most recent update fixed this problem.

Complete, easy and secure

Love this website... it’s secure and safe and has all the different things I look for. Whether it’s household needs, baby clothes or accessories, imported snacks or vitamins, gifts, party supplies, books, bedsheets, humidifiers... almost anything! Really appreciate Tokopedia. As an expat, it’s hard to find things but this app makes it easy.

Credit Card Payment always failed for the past 2 weeks.

I’ve been trying to make credit card payments for the past 2 weeks for more than 5 times, all the transactions apparently to be failed.

Not sure what happend to them, continually promoting credit card payment, while it is not working.

Contacting their customers service, the answer is either wait for 3 x 24 hours, or when it fails saying apologize due to the credit card payment feature was so popular, during the promotional hour. I tried to make the payment not during their promotional hours, it also failed.

I would appreciate if this app could check what’s wrong with their system, and not only saying apologize without resolving the problem.

New updates fail to give better user experience.

Just realized with the new updates, how difficult it is for me as user to check on delivery status, acknowledge the received items, etc. compared to previous version. Come on this app!

Best App for online shopping

Don’t even need to worry about scam or anything like that when buying. It’s comfortable. Either with the selling feature too. It helps a lot with selling things fast. 9/10 overall. You wont regret downloading Tokopedia

Latest update is annoying

I’ve been using the this app app for quite some time and it’s been a good experience so far, but I’m really unhappy with the latest update. Why? Because Tokopedia is now needy and whiny, always asking to allow notifications every time I start Tokopedia even though I consistently say no. this app is it too much for you to respect your users’ preference instead of shoving this in our faces EVERY. SINGLE. TIME??? Please fix this annoyance, or I will take my business to another Lapak.

Nice app and great user experience

I have never been having difficulties using this app as my daily shopping app. I found it pretty easy to navigate from page to page. Also the sellers are giving fast response and could be trusted. Well surely we have to be a smart buyer so we wont be scammed.

Tokopedia service 👎🏼

There are just too much seller joining in this company. However buyer are often has issue with the product seller sent; either not working, damage, wrong items. It’s such normal thing to happen when we do online shopping. However, this app service make things a lot worse as they are super slow resolving issues.
Disappointment that just left.
I’m not recommending this app, not until they improve their customer service’s QUALITY!

Can’t update stock from App

I can’t update my product stock from Tokopedia . Usually I could open the web version from a browser but today even the browser version was also app like. I have to open my computer every time I need to update my stock?? What if I’m on the road and have no access to a computer? Your competitor’s app is so much easier to update stocks from my phone

Lack of good ethics at the core.

The other day I was searching for a product for a family member in this "marketplace". Something that I would not buy myself.

In the following days, unusual product ads started to appear in my instagram feed. It's the very product type I was searching for in that day.

They are operating pretty much under the radar within an unregulated domain, with little interest to customer privacy, experience or satisfaction. The dangerous thing is that they are big. Big enough to set trends for other competitors to follow. Indonesia is one of the worst place for consumers to be in. No protection from the law, certainly none from such "marketplace".

There is no such thing as customer first. It's this app first, sellers second, and maybe customers third. Shame.

Forced closed after updating just now.

On iphone 5S, latest Ios version, Tokopedia cannot load after updating it to latest version. Contacting developer is not available since I cannot load Tokopedia .

Wishlist n bebas ongkir

Please put wishlist icon on the main page (on the website) so it is easier to access, just like the cart. Also this app needs get rid of free o glue as it is not true. Also tell your sellers that if they put free ongkir it has to actually mean free shipping. Do not deceive customers.

Fix the server problem

Dear this app,
Instead of giving some new feature it would be better to fix the sever problems. Because everytime I opened Tokopedia to process the orders there’s a notification saying “Terjadi kendala pada server” and it totally caused frustrated and effect the rating to my store. Tokopedia was made to make everything easier, isn’t it?

New update just made it worse

Not a fan of the new update. I personally dislike the whole BTS thing, i wish there is an option to disable these useless features because not everyone is a fan of weird kpop stuff. And there is just too many useless annoying notifications appearing after the latest update, for example : "Yakin gamau belanja?" "Jangan kelewatan loh...." these constanly pop every 15 minutes and it is irritating to see your today's notification filled with trash. I am also experiencing random freeze/crashes after the recent update and you still can't buy steam wallet codes due to an "eror" its been 3 months and this issue is still laying around.....cmon man

Complete on line store...but...crappy return system

It has various and many items u can find here but once u have problem with the goods received, you are doomed. There is no hot line to call (even they claim for efficiency bs), the limited time line and procedure of returning the goods (you need to repack into wooden crate for big fragile item), hence even before you have time to return it (only given 2 days), they already release the fund to the seller. No hot line to call, all fixed question format. this app, you grow so big yet you are so stingy on providing customer service hotline to call in. Garbage...wont buy anything from ur app anymore.

Poor user experience

While I use this app as my main online marketplace site, its user experience on iPad is simply, very poor. App can’t be used in landscape mode, it’s incompatible with split view, and overall it just looks like an over-scaled iPhone app. In this current state, I would still much rather use the desktop site over the native iPad app.
