How to Cancel Shoeboxed Receipt Tracker

After trying a multitude of apps and software to keep and organize my work and personal receipts, I stopped looking when I found Shoeboxed. It is the best-priced with the most features. Take a photo of your receipt or use snail-mail to send in receipts using prepaid envelopes provided by Shoeboxed. Another available option I have not tried is to have Shoeboxed automatically scan your email inbox for receipts. For each receipt submitted, Shoeboxed inputs all the information from each receipt and remembers how you want to categorize receipts from a given store. Create custom expense reports and include the scan of the original receipt if you wish. According to Shoeboxed, all digitized receipts are accepted by the federal government if you wish to use them for tax purposes. If I could give this app six stars I would!

For anyone who has too much to do and never enough time this is a godsend! My tax prep team loved the reports and desktop options. They are recommending to all their starter uppers! It spared me of the checking for all receipts, cataloguing, archiving... in a nutshell it saves time and sanity! Just one tweak that would help-the save to shoebox from texts isn’t working. It opens the app but still requires me to upload the image to my photo gallery. Not a big deal just extra steps you seem to be trying to edit out... I am eager to see that feature work.

I want to love it but cannot. It loses receipts and is kind of confusing to use. The feature for recognizing receipts in my inbox does not work- I have to forward them. There should be a warning sent when an item did not get processed somehow. I had some free time ( rare as a business owner) and scrolled through trying to see what had been processed and also looking for lost receipts for my rent. I found a receipt from early Feb that said “error in processing” or something like that. I don’t have that much time to go back and make sure it got processed. Luckily I had the receipt and re-entered it. I guess I cannot throw out receipts until I check to make sure they went through that is time consuming. At least my banker boxes are emptying out. It’s more time to file and check to make sure it got filed but eventually, you don’t have to have a garage to store your business receipts.

Just downloaded this app – it was easy and intuitive to use and the picture comes out great of your receipt! I wanted something to keep track of all my receipts instead of stuffing them into my wallet! I tend to keep receipts for up to a year in the event that anything ever needed to be returned so this gives me peace of mind. Also it is nice that you can organize your receipt for medical expenses. Concerns I have are simply whether stores will except a digital receipt in lieu of paper original. Time will tell.

I use this app for my businesses every day; I have a larger plan. Mileage tracker has issues. I like the simplicity of the app. I hate that I have to make corrections to every processed receipt. Every time! The date is always off by one day. No one at Shoeboxed ever records the tax amounts off the receipts. Often don’t even record the payment method. Fix the mileage tracker and pay attention to the details on the receipts and this could be great.
