It reminds me when to water my plants and it has various info about the plants as well. I have all of my plants on the app and I upload pictures and I frequently upload new ones and it is very nice because I can see the growth of them as the time goes on from the old photos I upload! If I ever get confused of forgot how to treat a plant I have I can press the info tab on my plant and it has all the info. This really is a great app and when I get a plant or an interested in a plant I look it up on this app and make sure it is good for my house and it is applicable to my needs as well as the plants. It tells you how much light it needs and how frequently it needs to be reported. This app knows it all and is SO user friendly. I rarely leave reviews on apps, but I had to on this one because the amount of time I go into my phone to use this app is crazy!
All of the information I need is in this app. If I want to add specific notes, I can do so and refer back at any point. I have 0 complaints. I am sure the catalog of available plants will continue to develop and that makes it all the more exciting. The basic app features information about the plant, watering cycles, fertilizing, amount of sun/shade needed, reminders, a schedule, browsing. Basically all you need. One request to throw in the future bucket is for a wish list or save option. I scroll past lost of cool plants (and get to learn new stuff), but I would like to save specific ones to consider buying later or just to refer back to. Maybe even make that a premium feature. It would be worth it to me! Thanks
I downloaded this app yesterday and already have loaded 55 houseplants. It’s easy to use, and I like that I can add my own photos or use the existing ones. I’ve upgraded to premium and look forward to using the plant ID feature. On inputting my plants, I found out a number is them are in the wrong light conditions and need to be moved, so hopefully this has already saved a few. The devs have done a wonderful job! If I may make a few suggestions to consider for future dev... 1. Overview reports. It would be great to see a summary of all plants that are not in ideal light conditions. I didn’t move all mine right away because of shelf space so have to go back and check for warnings one by one. Also a compact summary list of my plants would make shopping for new ones easier. 2. Wish list that can be emailed to a non-plant person so he knows what to buy for my birthday! 😀 3. More refinement for lighting categories and the ability to measure actual light level at each plant. There are so many factors - shade trees, window shades, plant lights - that it’s difficult to know which category is really representative.
I was never able to keep plants alive because I couldn't keep a schedule and Planta has helped me with that! I have a handful of succulents and indoors plants that are thriving since I started using the app. I've contacted their support with questions and they've always been helpful. If a plant can't in the system they’ve worked on adding them with suggestions. So far I love the app and I'm super happy. Suggestions which I know they will consider (because they are super responsive) and some they are working on: 1. Being able to modify the schedule. When I started using the app I had two of the exact same plants and I accidently entered them on one day apart and now the schedules are off. 2. Ability to log repotting would be helpful and even being able to note what soil I used. I've found some plants are responding better to different brands than others but it's hard to keep track. I know these have been mentioned but I wanted to provide feedback that I am interested in this as well. Keep up the good work and I look forward to upcoming releases and new features in the future!
I LOVE this app so much! Since using it, my plants are so much happier and healthier. I love how it keeps me on the appropriate schedule based on each type of plant. I have a lot of plants so before the app, I watered once a week, but having a schedule based on the types of plants is so much better for the plants. I’ve seen huge improvements in my plants. The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5, is that I wish when you sort your tasks by room rather than task, that within each room the list of plants are separated by task. It would be easier to read because the task is so small under each plant that spearing them by task and room would be the perfect organizer. Thanks Planta People! Keep up the great work!!
