This is not a good app
I had to download this app because my professor was using it to take attendance. The experience is pretty bad. You have to watch an add in order to check in for a class unless you pay for the premium tier. Also, on iOS, the button to check in without paying is subdued text, so there were a few classes where I didn’t check in for class because I didn’t see how. This app offers a service that I as a student would never pay for. This app is, at best, an add-free feature of what should be a larger service. I’m personally against attendance being taken at the college level, so there is no need for a better way to do something that’s pointless to start with. If I were a parent of someone in K-12, I would never pay for my kid to use this app and I would encourage them to play the adds loudly while waiting for the privilege of signing in.

Crap subscription, bad design, terrible functionality!
Half the time, this app does not register I’m in class. I will restart the app, restart my phone, turn location off and on again, and it still won’t register! This happens to numerous students in my class on a daily basis. The app seems to have a problem with iOS dark mode, because I can’t even read the text on some screens because the background is black with black text. Terrible design. Having a no ads subscription on this is pretty dumb. Professors or the institution should be the ones paying for no ads or to use the app, rather than the students. If the institution wants to use it, THEY can pay for it.

Highway robbery!!
I’m sure that most people using this app are college students that don’t have a ton of expendable income. This app charges $1/month to skip ads and be able to view your attendance. This is frankly ridiculous. Now I get it, they’ve gotta pay the bills somehow. Ads themselves don’t bother me as much, but hiding something like viewing your attendance behind a monthly fee is crazy! My school has an attendance policy that can result in one failing a course if too many classes are missed and the fact that I can’t keep up with how many classes I’ve missed without paying is, again, ridiculous.
