PID Lítačka Reviews

Every time I search for a connection and press "Search", it instead searches for the most recent connection from my search history. This bug has been there for months, there's no way to report it from PIDLítačka , so obviously the developer doesn't care at all about their user experience. I'm switching to pubtran.

We had bought tram tickets on PIDLítačka, and because we did not activate them, the inspector charged us 2000 CZK or 90 USD. This is a complete and utter scam for money from tourists who aren’t aware of this. If you visit Prague, do not take public transport. You’re better off walking and not getting scammed out of money.

Aplikace je v současnosti dobrá jen na kupování jízdenek. Vyhledat spojení a další funkce nefungují. Uvítala bych možnost i zjistit zastávkové jízdní řády. A neškodila by možnost zakoupení 1/2 denní nebo jednodenní sms jízdenky.

Terrible that PIDLítačka doesn’t notify when you pass expires. This cost me CZK824 in fines.

PIDLítačka is very poor indeed and they refuse to reimbursement for their design flaw.

No Apple Wallet integration.

App redirects you to the crappy website so you have to login to a website within an app.

You can’t buy tickets with iOS 13 as your OS. The tickets do not show up so I was forced to buy a paper ticket.

I was just about to buy two tickets on my phone and found out that only one has been purchased. I wanted to purchase another one for my wife and got an error, even though money was deducted from my account!
What do I do when an inspection comes?!

It is decent enough when it functions properly, but in 90% of the time you'll see a message saying "At this moment there is no connection for the data entered."

And you'll need to click the 'search' button again and again and again in order to see the results.

PIDLítačka worked well when I was on WiFi, but when I bought tickets over cellular I got a purchasing error. I then re-imitated the purchase and ended up with twice the number of tickets. PIDLítačka developer refused to refund the ticket purchase despite the fact that they stated that this is a known problem. I have never received a purchase error for a successful purchase in any other circumstance so I would advise any user to be aware of this.

Aplikace jako taková je celkem povedená, ale velmi často v ní dochází k této chybě: "Pro zadané hodnoty v tuto chvíli neexistuje žádné spojení." K této chybě dochází nezávisle na zadaných hodnotách a dochází k ní i na dobrém připojení, např. na 4G nebo WiFi. Pokud hledání např. pětkrát zopakuji, tak se většinou nakonec najde. K této chybě nedochází vždy, ale zhruba při polovině pokusů. Asi jde o přetížené servery nebo něco podobného.

Další chyba není tak závažná, ale je taky otravná: Když třeba omylem kliknu na zadání času odjezdu, tak se vybere nějaký konkrétní čas a už to nijak nejde vrátit na "teď". Jediná možnost je aplikaci shodit a znovu zapnout.

Is PIDLítačka not compatible with iOS 13? I am not able to buy any tickets, the screen to buy just says “ticket selection could not be loaded”. My wife’s phone had no problem on iOS 12.

Not a bad app, but the two minutes to activate is a major issue. The inspectors come and will fine you with as little as 10 seconds left before it activates, and since they can check whomever they want, they often target women, especially those riding alone. I just ended up buying the year pass, but for people who ride only once or twice, the two minutes is a huge pain. Either you get on before your ticket activates and hope, or you activate it before the bus/tram/metro even arrives—cutting into the amount of time you’ve paid to be allowed to travel. And if the bus is late, and so your ticket expires before you reach your destination? That’s a fine, too. Major design flaw!

Twice now I have tried to create an account. I signed up with one email and a message said I’d be getting a verification email. I have been checking for over 24 hours and there is no email. So I then tried a different email and still no verification email ever came. Update: the emails all went to my spam. That hasn’t happened in forever, therefore I attribute it to whatever is in the origin of the email sender.

I enabled alert for “Exceptions” and found it was too many notifications. I disabled it within PIDLítačka but still receive alerts.

Otherwise, for purchasing lowest-price tickets I find it is the most useful app, even for long trips outside of Prague.

The Apple Watch app is missing to perfection!

Must have, works perfectly fine. It has all the live updates that you need.

Coming first-hand from the Prague Public Transport Co., this is, hands down, the best public transport app for Prague. Take it from a local.

I was only in Prague for a few days but PIDLítačka worked very well, the design and user interface was excellent, it was easy to use and figure out, each ticker gives you a bar code but we never got stopped so not sure if that works for the police. One thing to note is when you buy tickets on PIDLítačka you need to wait 2 minutes after you activate before it becomes valid so buy tickets before you get on

Great app. Clear navigation options, accurate timetables and with Apple Pay integration, makes it super easy to purchase tickets. Other translation apps take notice!

Should be an instance for everyone else!

Skvělá aplikace bez reklam, jízdní rady včetně schémat PID a jednoduchého nákupu. Ma anglickou i německou verzi. Super.

Everything I needed for public transport in Prague. It was super easy to register and pay via Apple Pay.

PIDLítačka let me plan each of our in-town and day trips simply. I could buy tickets on the fly or plan our route the night before. With tickets in hand, I always knew what stop or platform to go to.

Agree with others: easy to use, mapping a route provides cost and link to pay, Apple Pay enabled. One of the best transportation apps I’ve used.
