I am writing this review in regards to a critical malfunction that I think others should be aware of. After making an event, it copied to my gmail calendar (which is fine and intended); however, when I made edits to the event, FamilyOrganizer created another event on my gmail calendar, not removing or changing the previous one. For example, I made a reoccurring event for my daughter's dance class, then changed it from Tuesday's to Wednesday's. FamilyOrganizer changed correctly, however my gmail calendar has events on both. Unfortunately for me, I made an edit to the Wednesday event as well, changing the time, so my gmail calendar has 3 entries for my daughter's dance class. I contacted customer support and they said all I could was individually delete them all--forever, since they are on there as a reoccurring event with no end date. And I cannot change them to have an end date because all changes must be made through FamilyOrganizer and those events aren't in FamilyOrganizer anymore because it was changed to the current/correct event. It is frustrating and annoying and I am really bummed out because otherwise this was a really great app. 👎🏼

I’ve been using FamilyOrganizer for a few years now. It’s had glitches here and there but the support team always responded to my emails and helped fix things.
Not anymore :-/ another user posted in January the problems I’m having now. It started crashing on me a lot in April, emailed and no response. This week my husband and I realized our calendars weren’t actually syncing and showing us the same stuff, even though it said it was syncing. We tried re-syncing, didn’t fix. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Now it won’t sign into our existing calendar, even though we choose that option, and it gets stuck trying to sync. It’s extremely frustrating as ALL of my family’s calendaring went into FamilyOrganizer and now it appears my entire summer will have to be recalendared in a new app. I still haven’t heard back from my most recent email and I’m hoping this review will get me a response somewhere but seeing as this problem happened to someone else months ago, I’m not expecting much. Very sad as looking through other apps I haven’t found one that meets the same needs as this one, but even if this particular issue is fixed it seems that FamilyOrganizer is no longer getting the same kind of attention and updates as it once did.

I’ve had FamilyOrganizer for awhile since I think it’s the most visually pleasing and well organized calendar app that I’ve found. I loved that you could see at a glance events (and who it’s for), to do lists and notes all in one place. I was excited for the newest update that finally added location. The wallet and the other new features seem nice too, but I was extremely disappointed when ads started showing up on the main view almost every other calendar day. It’s very distracting as it’s listed along side your calendar events, notes and to-List. I understand the need to make money but there doesn’t seem to be even an option to pay to remove the ads. To me this has ruined FamilyOrganizer .

First I have to say I love the layout of the calendar. The Daily view is great and I especially love the month view. Two major problems for me with FamilyOrganizer is that the Task items don't roll over onto the next day until completed. It stays on the assigned day. The only way to see it again is to go to the Task list. I know that isn't a big deal for some, but I rely on them being visible on my calendar. It would also be nice to assign a Task to a specific family member.

The other problem I had was exporting anything. It would freeze and not let me export anything. I would like to have exported a sticky note or a Task list to a family member. Exporting only allowed email, Adding the choice of email or message if to export would be great.

Love FamilyOrganizer ! However, it’s still a bit complicated for older family members. I wish one family member could be the group owner and edit the availability of different modules and features within FamilyOrganizer . For instance, my family only needs the Calendar, Recipes, Themes, Family/Sync, and Location modules. Additionally, we only need three colors on the calendar. I wish I, as the one setting this up for my family, could hide the other modules (and the sticky notes) and the other colors automatically for everyone.

Also, I wish we could be part of more than one family. My side of the family can use FamilyOrganizer , but that doesn’t let my husband’s side of the family use FamilyOrganizer .

Additionally, I wish, as the organizer, I could automatically tie a calendar color to either a location or a person. Trying to get my grandmother and grandfather to remember which color goes with which location or person is.....well, yeah.

Finally, we need more than the 10 family member limit.

I love FamilyOrganizer and think it's almost perfect. However, ever since the update and allowing family syncing I have been having issues. If I have forgotten to check off my To-do items from a previous day I cannot swipe back a day to check off those items without FamilyOrganizer closing. It seems to close every single time I try to go back to a different day. I can go forward to future days but not back. It's very frustrating getting notifications for overdue to-do items and not being able to go back and check them off without FamilyOrganizer closing. Anyone know how to solve this issue?

I love FamilyOrganizer, I have been using it for about 6 months now and have really liked it. I created an account with our family email then had each member of my family (excluding my preschooler) log into the account from their own devices. It really keeps us all on the same page and allows us all to know what’s going on! I love having one app and one place to keep track of everything. My only issue is that when we first started using FamilyOrganizer another family member could add a task or event from their device and it would immediately appear on my device when I opened FamilyOrganizer , however the past couple weeks the newly added items are only showing up on the device they were added from (we all are logged into the same account and haven’t changed settings). If this issue isn’t resolved I’m afraid I’ll have to find a new app :( hoping it’s just a bug.

Downloaded to play with so I didn’t create an account. Created a bunch of to-dos and other stuff, a custom theme. Later when I removed one photo from the theme the entire app crashed and wouldn’t open at all. Continued being a problem after resetting iPhone. Uninstalled and reinstalled and everything is gone (which makes sense because I didn’t create an account)

Edit to help dev... I believe I had only selected 5 photos (the minimum) so when I unselected that one photo it would have dropped below the limit set somewhere else.

Looked for a long time for a family organizer that was an all-in-one app for everything that I would need in a daily basis. I have been using this for about 2 weeks and REALLY like it so far. I am using the free version and we are a family of four that is pretty busy with activities and appointments and this does the trick. Love that it has so many things built in other then just a calendar, couldn’t find a lot of apps that had that. My only negative would be the notifications. I wish I got them more on my home screen and not just when I open FamilyOrganizer . I might be doing something wrong but can’t seem to get them to show up other then in FamilyOrganizer . Hope this helps someone else, just my honest option.

I love FamilyOrganizer and have been using it for years. However the past year it has been having a lot of glitches and problems. I have emailed the developers multiple times with pictures and videos of what is going on and have not received a response. There has not been an update for FamilyOrganizer in a long time as well. FamilyOrganizer is randomly deleting my notes, switching photos for different appointments, and also not letting me add notes I have to keep trying for it to eventually work. FamilyOrganizer is also crashing a lot out of nowhere. FamilyOrganizer is great when it works but with all the glitches and tech problems that it's having it's making me think about looking for a new app.

I was so excited to find FamilyOrganizer a few months ago and use it for everything! It syncs with my Google calendar, I can family-code who has to do what, I can set reminders, and do a grocery list, and I can set my own backgrounds. It's appealing visually and practically. But... a couple of weeks ago for the first time, ads appeared on every single day of my calendar. There was no way to turn them off and I was ready to uninstall this otherwise wonderful app. As a result, I gave this ad a 1-star rating. However, after leaving my rating and emailing the company, they responded by removing the ads from FamilyOrganizer ! Woo hoo! Thank you! I love FamilyOrganizer, and I have a new respect for the company who makes it. Awesome!

the ads have been removed! This is my all time favorite app! I use it all the time! Now that the ads are gone I can give this 5 stars.

This is a GREAT app. It’s easy to use and has a lot of great features. I have been using it for over 1 year. It’s the best. BUT they decided to start using ads . The ads line up with the things you have scheduled and get in the way. It is too easy to accidentally touch the ad when you are trying to look at one of your scheduled things and then you are taken out of FamilyOrganizer . I wish there was an ad free option. Get rid of the ads and I will rate this 5 stars.

I feel like I'm forever trying to find a neat way to do the scheduling for our family of four and while I'd normally prefer to write everything out in a day planner, that hasn't been effective for me for a while now because of how much we're always doing and the fact that my planner isn't always a carry along item. I love that FamilyOrganizer offers me space to make shopping lists, to do lists, scheduling by person, reminders, etc and that I can view each item (displayed in different ways) from one screen. It's been super handy! The only change I can think of that I'd like to make, would be more options for personalization. I wish I could customize the colors and fonts. Aside from that, FamilyOrganizer is awesome and I'd recommend it.

Let me start by saying- I never take the time to leave reviews on anything! But, FamilyOrganizer was worth the time to let others know how amazing it it!
My husband and I are FINALLY in sync with our schedules and daily tasks! We can know easily communicate what our family of 6 has going on! This is the most perfect calendar app ever created! It has such a clean layout and is super easy to use! Thank you SevenLogics for such a wonderful app! :)

Update: we had an issue with our app working. I emailed the contact on Seven Logics website and they fixed it within hours for me! So very helpful!!!

The Family Organizer - Calendar Planner app is THE BEST calendar app I've used!! I've tried several (including G**gle calendar). It's simple to use, it's uncluttered format is easy to understand, and I'm HOOKED on the multiple dates option!!! This option (not available in other apps!) allows me the ability to "carbon copy" an appointment, work schedule or date, on as many or as few days as I want!!! Then I can go back and "tweak" specific days if I want. For example I can put my whole work schedule on at once and then just adjust the days I get off at a different time! THANKS (!!) Sevenlogics, Inc. for a TRULY user friendly, intuitive app! 🤣

I was looking for an app that was able to be shared with my husband, but that was simple and not overwhelming!! We love options but sometimes we just need something SIMPLE with schedules are so hectic to start with!! This is IT! I still have 8 other apps I've downloaded and played with on my phone, but I think this one takes the cake!! Going home tonight to sync my Husbands phone to FamilyOrganizer and if all goes well the other apps will be deleted!! Thank you so much! This is going to be a HUGE winner in my house! Just enough options for what we need but not too many complicating FamilyOrganizer !! Thank you!

I was looking for a decent family organizer app that could take care of calendar events, shopping list, to do list, and a few other things. I had been told by other friends that Cozi was the way to go but I didn’t like the layout, it was hard to navigate and the graphical interface was not very appealing to look at. However! FamilyOrganizer checks everything off in all the right boxes. Not only is FamilyOrganizer functional and appealing to look at but it also works! It ties in nicely with my iCloud calendar. The shopping list and to do list can viewed by all of our family members. I also love the nice touch of being able to put family photos in the background. If Sevenlogics made a premium option I would gladly pay for it. Thanks so much for a wonderful app.

FamilyOrganizer is my brain and I couldn't get through my day without it. My only gripe is the feature called "Shopping Lists" should just be called "Task Lists" or "Lists", since I rely on it for generating all kinds of checklists... lists of things I need to remind my husband about, lists of household items I need to clean or repair, etc. Oh, and I never use the "Events" feature because it's so much more basic than the iPhone Calendar app, which means I never get to assign people/photos to events, which makes me sad. There should be a way to assign people/photos to events pulled from Calendar.

I had been searching for a free app that gave me the ability to keep track of lists and calendar while keeping my husband in the loop. He was constantly asking what we had going. FamilyOrganizer has allowed me to put in my work schedule (part time and not the same days every week) in one entry! Or sports practice and games for the kids. The grocery list has helped when my husband needs to run by the store on the way home, he already has a list in FamilyOrganizer ! No more texting what we need :) Those are the features that we have used the most so far...

The support team informed me to set up an email with the account to invite people or export the data from the calendar - you need to go to your phone settings -> mail -> and add your personal email there so FamilyOrganizer can use it that way. NOW that that’s been figured out - FamilyOrganizer is 10/10! Great layout, visually appealing and LOVE that I can select to just view my own events if I want to. I only wish I could view my own events on demand in the monthly view as well (it only lets you in the daily view). Otherwise very very happy with it:)
