Look no further!!!

Love, love, love DoList! There is no comparison with anything else I have tried over the years and I have tried many. Unlike list and reminder apps that came with my phone DoList allows for different categories and reminders. The Life list section is amazing! It allows the user to customize "Life Lists" but also offers suggestions. It understands that some tasks have due dates such a finishing a report for work, while other tasks just need to be done today (pick up dry cleaning or mail cards) but they can be moved to tomorrow if something comes up. Toggling between lists is so easy that it is the key feature of DoList. I love the hints and reminders which are literally helping me to shape my behavior. For example, this morning I started packing my "Today" list and a little reminder popped up to let me know that my list should be "doable". I realized DoList was right! I immediately started thinking over the next few days to see what I could reasonably accomplish whereas previously I might just have a list with twenty five items that kept being moved to the next day. DoList is brilliant! Love it!

It’s working!

I have downloaded so many apps to try to get myself in order that it’s embarrassing. I just kept trying to find that one thing that was going to make a difference. I had downloaded DoList a long time ago but couldn’t seem to get it to fit for me. I’ve been looking for something that would work for me for about 2 1/2 years. I then decided to just going back to using notecards. One day as I was rearranging apps and deleting apps I don’t use, I ran across this again. It’s working great! It’s essentially the same as my notecards but I don’t have to worry about losing my notecards. You just have to use it. You have to create a habit of using it. It really does Declutter your mind and works well with GTD. If you have trouble deciding what to do next and you’re just spinning in circles looking at everything that needs done and feel overwhelmed, this is a great app for you. And by the way this is the first review for an app I have ever left.

Finally!

After looking for a decent to-do list organizer app for years the product is finally here. The simple elegant design of three main lists (Today Tomorrow and Later) is exactly what other to-do lists have been lacking. The user interface is clean, simple, functional and elegant. It's also great that if you want to make other types of lists you can do so. This allows you to take a large project and break it down into smaller tasks and then gradually move those tasks into today's activities and thus complete the project over time. It also allows you to make lists of books, wines, movies that you want to experience, but this powerful add on capability does not get in the way of the simple but powerful three list design. I have tried eight to do list apps before finding this one. My search is over. Thank you to the developer for recognizing our need for this simple but very powerful tool.

The Life Lists Are AMAZING!

I am so excited to use DoList! I just found it today. I’ve been spending all morning trying to find a todo list app that isn’t so complex and overwhelming. I absolutely love DoList! The Life Lists are so helpful, especially the daily list. It helps you to keep track of those things you want to make sure you do every single day. With an easy click you add those to your life for the day so you don’t have to type out those some daily tasks each time. The other life list options are just inspiring and I’m glad they’re listed on there. The colors and layout of DoList are everything I’m looking for! I also like the notifications you can have come in in the morning, the afternoon & then at night. I’ll provide an update after I’ve been on DoList for a couple weeks. I’m really predicting some productive days with DoList! Yes!!!

This App is great

Update. Check out the new update. This is far and away the absolute best "life organizer I've ever used.
I use DoList to organize my day, my week and my life. If you have tasks you can't get to today you simply move it to the Tomorrow or Later section. The Life lists are particularly helpful. For example, if someone mentions the name of a good movie, I put it in the Movie List. When I have time to watch a movie I go directly to the movie section and pick a movie from my list. If you have spent time endlessly searching for a good movie on Netflix, you'll know how helpful this list can be. My whole family uses DoList and it has been really helped us to organize our day/our life. UPDATE. You can now create your own life lists and delete ones you don't. This is just what I have been waiting for. Awesome

Approach that works !!!

After the first day of using DoList, I have found finally the to do list app that works for me and I have tried many a to do list apps. I love the easy integration of non-deadline lists for various aspects of life with the ability to move specific tasks to time specific categories of Today, Tomorrow and Later. And the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly lists ensure that routine tasks, e.g., paying a bill that does not have auto payment capability, don’t fall through the cracks. While initially I thought that I would want DoList to automatically move my Tomorrow and Daily tasks to Today, I appreciate the intentionality in evaluating what did I finish from Today and in my actively moving tasks from those other lists to Today. Thank you, thank you thank you for creating this wonderful app!!!

This an amazing app.

I really am happy about DoList. I have made countless schedules in my life, but I am not the type of person to be able to stay in a locked set of time. Therefore, DoList helps me prioritize according to my needs. It is very nice to have the option of setting a date if I need to though. The section that offers suggestions on working on different parts of your life is awesome. I like being able to have a set daily regimen that I just need to check off and it records it.
Overall if you are someone like me that doesn't need to make set, tight schedules, but rather prioritize according to your needs, then DoList is for you! It is a good idea however, to have an idea of how long some tasks take so you can efficiently and effectively accomplish them.
Thanks again for DoList!!❤️❤️❤️

Savior for the disorganized and forgetful

I am the worst with keeping track of my lists for any life aspect and keeping track of dates. If I put it on paper I lose the paper almost instantly. I’ve been looking for a good digital all in one app for work/ home/ groceries/ bills/ appointments/ things I don’t want to forget something. DoList is the PERFECT all in one app because it has a tracker for anything I could possibly have to jot down to remember and it keeps it categorized! I love that it alerts you by day/ week/ month and prioritizes. I also love that it syncs with the calendar. I now have hope for a more organized life and a less stressful work environment because I’ll be able to keep track of due dates and be less likely to forget important appointments! So happy these came out! I needed it!!!!!

Love this app!

I recently heard that you should stick to one main organizer... for me this is it! I love being able to re-assign tasks. And how DoList celebrates my tiny accomplishments! However, I wish I could assign tasks to different days, or at least to a day of the week. Once it’s scheduled, I won’t worry about it until the day it’s assigned to be worried about. Unfortunately, I have to use a different calendar for that, unless I figure out another ‘hack’. But this is still my go to... update: I think if I just add in the details a note that this task is scheduled for so and so, I’ll know not to stress about, and just add it to Tomorrow when the time comes. Of course it will also be in my calendar.

Grocery List is Useless

I really wanted to love and use DoList, but I simply can’t. One of the reasons I got DoList was to use (and share) the grocery list. I love the idea of the quick add lists that allow you to quickly add items to your list in their respective categories. Most of the categories already have popular/stock items (dairy category has milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc.) and you can “supposedly”!add your own items. However, I added several items in different categories and not a single one of them saved in their respective categories. Not one. What is the point of having a quick add option if I still have to manually add an item to the list every single time I need it? Plus, some of the stock items are misspelled AND DoList froze up/shut down on me!

I really cannot speak to the other features in DoList because the sheer frustration I had with the grocery list has turned me off of the entire app. And that is a shame. This could probably be a really good app.

Functionality on Apple Watch Series 5

I recently bought my first Apple Watch when I upgraded my iPhone to iPhone 11 and I love that I can have easily accessible apps via the “Complications”. However DoList isn’t one o e that shows up as one I can have on the watch face or do I need to purchase for this to be possible? One other thing I want to be able to access is my grocery list on my watch. Right now I have to use a totally different grocery app because it does show up on my watch making shopping much easier. I don’t need syncing just would like more functions to be accessible from my watch. Is this not possible or am I missing something? This is only reason I give DoList 4 stars because I like everything else about it, nice and simple.

Lot of wisdom and awesome execution on it here

I can make a list - lots of lists, and feel all puffed up like I’ve done something. And they do help my sense of overwhelm. But when the 42 todos from yesterday turn into 60 today....

This is a very powerful but simpler tool (than Omnifocus, todoist, things, TickTick, etc.)
It’s simplicity makes it more powerful for me. For some reason, I really like the life list section for the storage of ideas and the “I need to remember to____” actions that I deep down know I’ll probably never do, but I need to notate somewhere for pure sanity’s sake (otherwise my brain keeps bringing it up again and again, usually when impossible to do anything about) Also, if I overload today, DoList reminds me to keep it doable, and I can easily keep the top 6, bump the next several to tomorrow, and the rest to LATER (or to the probs not but they’re documented list) And in doing this I realize REALISTICALLY what I CAN GET DONE TODAY.

The things that are missing are missing on purpose - read the faq/tutorial info and see if this is a fit for you too.

Great App For Those With Small Tasks

If your task scope is limited to one or two days, this is your app! But if your a busy professional who has projects that extend out several months, look else where. There isn't any way to prioritize task beyond today and tomorrow. Planning for the long term seems to be something the developer left out.
The "Life Lists" are a great idea but aren't customizable. Yes, you can create new Life Lists and name them any name you want, however you can't select a format such as the journal or list format. You also can't rename the existing list or customize them in any way. Also, the thumbnails on the life lists cant be rearranged. To make it worse, they automatically arrange by last list used unless you lock the thumbnails. However, you can't lock them in the order you'd like them in.
Again, it's a cute app for soccer moms or retired people who's vision is limited.

Has 1 particularly unique and awesome feature

All I want is a checklist for running errands that I can EASILY reorganize via drag and drop as my day changes. I plan out my errands but inevitably something(s) happen and I have to change the order of my errands. No other list app does this. I used to have one that did but it got discontinued and incompatible with the latest OS.

So I’ve been looking forever until I finally found this one. Thank You! I love that it wants to keep your lists short. Yes. I’ll never get a long list accomplished in a day. Keeping it reasonable. 👍🏻

Thanks for making a great app and making my life just a little easier. 😊

Best in class!!!

I have tried numerous “to do” apps and this is the best! It keeps me organized & focused by keeping my lists “doable”. I have become more efficient because of the approach of DoList ! I enjoy using it. There are so many options for using other types of lists. I have used it to track home projects, rental property to dos, books, recipes, etc. as well as creating my own list type - it is so flexible! Also, appreciate the responsiveness of DoList developer. I noticed a bug that he responded to immediately with an email, fixed it within days & emailed me to inform me of the fix.
Awesome app & customer support!

Great life organizer

Don't know what I'd do without it!
I am a life long list maker, and DoList provides me with my immediate "to do" lists, my "get done later" list, plus a place for books to read, travel packing, and any kind of list I'd like to create to fit my needs; songs to learn (I'm a musician,) healthy herbs, equipment inventory, etc. With a selection of symbols to choose from to accompany list title (sometimes I use my own emojis.) I'm in list heaven.
Plus-DoList creator is very responsive & respectful when it comes to learning about functions or making suggestions.

The best comprehensive organizational app out there by a long shot!

It’s been years since I’ve written an app review, but this is so far beyond any other organization app out there. If you need to get your sh*+ together or if you have it together and want to keep it that way, this is DoList for you.

You have all of the features standard in other similar apps, but in a much nicer, easier, and cleaner format... like deadline, due dates, calendars, appointments. In addition... songs you hear and want to add to a playlist, movie recommendations you want to see later, quotes you read and want to remember... grocery, recipes, errands, shopping, home improvements, ideas, priority lists, venting etc. add others you need, remove the ones you don’t.

The only thing is that I wish it was available for iPad... that’s really unfortunate that I can’t sync it with all my devices.

Fantastic app and I wholeheartedly recommend!

So far so good

I really like DoList. As a life coach I am always looking for little tips and tricks to help my clients... but I have to admit that I went looking for a to-do list app for myself first. DoList is great because it's super intuitive and easy to use. Not too complicated.. which I love and quite inspiring. From minute one you feel like you are achieving things.. and honestly in a few short days I can see progress.. I am pretty sure I will use this for many years to come.. it's fun! So please don't stop supporting it! Thank you for quitting your job!

The to-do app I've been looking for

I've used SO many to-do list apps but I've used them maybe a day or two then completely forget about it. I was using the default notes app for all my lists before; groceries and chores, etc, but also stuff like books to read or my favorite albums, and it was overwhelming and a pain to navigate. With DoList I've been able to delete at least 8 of my old lists. DoList handles categories so much better than any other app I've found. It's actually really fun to use!

OMG! Simple, efficient

I've spent so much time trying to find a 'to do' list that works for me. They require more time to manage than it saves me in organization. This is simple, intuitive, and has the basics I need. Includes a simple single list or the ability to quickly organize by today, tomorrow, or later. Other additional lists can be easily accessed if you wish to add more info and categories, but they are not in the way if you don't. Love it. PLEASE make a version I can connect to my Apple Watch.

Really like this app, but there are a few issues

Love the concept of the today, tomorrow and later lists. I also like the life lists. I really like the UI of DoList. It’s not too simple but not too complicated for me to get, especially since I just got this last night and have been playing around with it for a few hours

Here are some issues:

- I tried the reminders and they didn’t work. Like I would do one for a minute from now and it didn’t pop up on my screen. I even checked my notification settings and DoList settings to make sure it wasn’t an issue with me. So I have to go back to the Apple reminders app :(

- whenever I try to move a task in my life list, sometimes it doesn’t work and DoList will crash. It’s done that twice now in 10 min

- also i set it so it doesn’t add the tasks to the top but it sometimes does this anyway which gets kinda annoying

- another thing is one time i rearranged all the tasks to put them in order but then I left the list. When I came back, they were in their original order which took me time to fix again :(

I really want to like DoList. I really like the concept. This is a kinda expensive app at $3.99 so I feel there shouldn’t be so many issues for that price
