I really wanted to like this, but I don’t. I already paid for it so I’m going to use it, hoping that it will get better. I'll revisit my review if things change.

I find lots of limitations for accuracy, difficulties with texturizing, items randomly moving or deleting themselves, and an inability to lock an item or layer. Wait... There are no layers!

I created a site plan, imported a survey, I liked that option; but it was an acre sized lot and wouldn't fit within the display window. The scale would only go up to 20'. The import was constantly moving, because I couldn't lock it down. I tried putting fences (no chain link, or vinyl privacy fences were available)and they would jump or rotate. I tried adding land and put a texture on it but was unable to; but the samples showed land with decking. And the help section couldn't help me. I added a room, and 2 sheds. I looked at the 3D view and was happy, then returned to 2D and my sheds were gone! I could only see them in 3D. I couldn't delete them in 3D and using the undo button didnt do anything, so I had to scrap it and start again.

So far have enjoyed putting together some thoughts and plans on HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden. Could use more foliage options, and would like to be able to create hillsides. The compass has potential, and the night into day with shadows is awesome! The sun appears to be set in an Alaskan/Canadian setting so would be cool to put in a time zone so the sun reflects more accurately! It was worth it to pay the $4.99 to unlock features, and love that you can download images to add! Wouldn’t be great for a professional, but for the average person just trying to get some ideas, it’s fun and gets you close enough!

HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden seems to have a good amount of the basics. I paid for 4.99 for it and have not found an option to make a basic sidewalk. Maybe I just need to work with it a little bit more to figure it out. HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden requests that you to like on Facebook and review in order to open up more features after paying for the basic package. I will see how much premium is that afterwards and see if there are more basic features that are easily customizable.

HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden was pretty cool and easy to use although the explanations do not cover all of the questions I have such as how to orient the front door of my house with the north facing compass that is used when you set up the day and night rotation of the sun to show the shadows and word light will be cast on the yard and it within the house I still have not figured out how to do that and when I run the four day cycle it shows me the sun rising on the opposite end of where my houses other than that HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden was easy to use and I will continue to tweak my plans using HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden.

Got HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden because I thought I would get all my houses for my home design app into HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden. I found out when I bought the version upgrade that I can’t. What’s the point of HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden.... HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden brings the files of the (Home design) app into HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden already so when I opened HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden it had the files of my home design app... but when I tried to open the file said (it Can’t open this) blah blah blah...... again, when u open HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden the files for the HOME DESIGN APP is already there...... so I assumed that we can open them using HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden.... but u can’t.
also u can’t make a roof in either apps . I found no options for this. Don’t buy it it’s a waste of money. I would like to contact someone about my money back ASAP!! This is ridiculous. No point for HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden.

I’m surprised how hard this thing is. I’ve pressed literally every button in every combination 72 times and still can’t figure out how to lay brick for get it to do what I want.

Every editing software requires some random tasks that requires you to study an entire day to use. After 32 minutes of accidentally putting down “land”, I couldn’t figure out how to do it again. I tapped, dragged, used the magnet, 2d,3D, presses everything and it doesn’t work.

I pressed everything and couldn’t find a tutorial. Why can’t I just pick what I want and drag it in in 2 seconds? Makes zero sense and I’m on the fence and actually asking for a refund for the first time ever.

Bought this to do some basic landscape planning and HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden is essentially useless. If guess it is worth it if you want to just mess around with floor plans but even then there are probably other apps you can use.

Can’t remember the last time I took time to write a review but thought it was important to tell someone looking for an landscape design app to look elsewhere!

You can’t even draw a path or patio or driveway with HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden.I couldn’t see any way to draw planting beds. I counted only 35 plants and trees to choose from, good luck creating a dream landscape and garden with that selection. Seriously, HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden is bad.

I purchased this having already purchased home design 3D gold and loving it. It loaded all of my projects from that in HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden which is great. The only problem? It’s asking me to purchase the basic home design 3D app for $6.99 in order to access the save and multi level functions, despite the fact that I already bought the MORE EXPENSIVE gold version! I refuse to buy an extra, not to mention, downgraded version, of an app I already own, just to get functions that should have come standard on this one with purchase anyways.

Contacted support, and will revise this review to a higher rating when the issue is resolved and I get full usage of HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden.

So intuitive and easy to use. We blew away our designer by showing them HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden and what we created in a day after it took them weeks to come up with a rendering on a PC application. Only complaint.. no first-person eye-view walk-throughs! The only view is from a 45 degree birds eye view. Could use a lot more design elements as well like stairs and elevated decks and other objects but there's plenty there to get started or even substitute for similar objects.

It was a 4 star yesterday. Today I am continuing with my project and objects I used yesterday are locker today. I don’t like when companies bait and switch like this. I will never by anything from HD3D again. Not as long as this is their company gold standard of profit making. Sad because the program is useful and probably one of the easier Graphic user interfaces for the layman. I was contemplating buying the compete package but I am not sure what I would get if I pay more money. It’s the self licking ice cream cone syndrome. Not thanks. I do not recommend this experience.

Could use improvement. No easy way to create a roof. It is possible, using a clunky work around though. Not all items are able to be elevated, making placing items on tables impossible. Tutorials are sparse, and explanations, weak. Integration with the home design program, doesn’t seem possible, meaning designing your house, and garden will need to be done in different programs. Items very limited in the paid program. That said, the 3D and “visit” modes are fun and render realistic views of your design.

Has potential, but ultimately a waste of time, way too difficult to use, constantly moving the view wildly all over the place, grabbing and moving things that you dont want it to, rearranging walls, rooms, borders, etc. spent the $5 for the full version, got ripped off, deleted after 30 minutes of trying to make my house, wanted to put in my future landscaping ideas, but pretty sure there is no way to add elevations or retaining walls, etc. someone wanted to make a quick buck and banged out HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden without putting forth any real energy to make it user friendly or precision in details

I wanted to design a 3 season room. At first I liked the ability to design the 2d floor plan. Then started to add windows and doors. While there is a selection, it was limited. You can’t put a roof on the design. It’s was suggested in 2017 but never done. All the walls had to be the same height. I need a slant roof so I was disappointed. Tried to print a blue print. I got a square. No measurements. It was fun to use. The 3D inside was cool, but it’s more of a toy than a tool. A little more work and it might be useful.

I just wish there were more options for the disabled along with ADA approved items such as the ramps, lifts, swimming pool chairlift/Hoyer lift. Hospital bed, hospital bed table… That would be cool. Wheelchairs would be great. The option for wheelchair accessible doors. It would only need to be a few things added… That would be very cool if the creators would change the options a bit to help the disabled as well.

I got the basics without reading anything fairly quickly. I was hoping that they had a large add on of landscaping plants I could buy, but it looks like not. The unlockable selection that is shown only gets a few more. They can’t be resized either. They have a selection of patio furniture and things. HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden seems to run ok and not lag on my phone. It’s certainly enough to work out a backyard project concept though.

HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden is almost what I need but I want my money back. It’s so frustrating and awkward to use if you have used any other designing software. You can’t manually enter dimensions or select multiple items at one time (really I have to delete every wall individually?). I have yet to figure out how to install a roof and there are some weird layer things going on. I want to try to use one of the preloaded designs, but I can’t figure out how to restore it to its original design. Altogether more frustrating and time wasting than it is worth. I will continue to look for other options.

Have used ready built Project to focus on creating my vision for a patio. Very realistic and ability to size helps me to plan small details while pointing out considerations I would have otherwise missed. Using imported textures allows me to save my fav pics and import. Wish there were a way to add more packs and group!

I will say it’s a good game. It’s fun and relaxing and it even makes me think it’s real life to be honest. If we could just add like chairs and couches and they werent locked. I’d tell everyone to play it. It’s really hard to make a good house look good when almost all the food details are locked so when the next update comes out can we please try making the other iteams unlock? Thank u.

I really love this game so much I really enjoy 😉 it. But I think it needs update I think its should let you buy and unlock all the stuff. I think it needs that. And more people would enjoy 😊 it. Good app but not quiet there, once you purchase full app, it’s easy to use... if I could give suggestions I would say it needs only a couple of things:
1. Dimensions should be able to be changed in objects, not scaling as this distorts images
2. Need to be able to create curve spaces, such as rooms, paths, lands
3. It needs more objects. Although there is a nice selection, there isn’t enough for truly designing a yard with such limited plant choices

I was trying to do a new layout for my patio and tried five or six different apps and finally landed on this one. I don't usually pay for apps but did one this one as it allowed me to do the actual feet/inches of the property and drag items on the layout of items that i wanted to put on the property. This is the best app that i have found to use.

This is a good app for exterior design. However, I am not crazy about the navigation of HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden . Sometimes it's hard to view certain angles so I have to go back to 2D then zoom in again to where I'm trying to see. It's hard to zoom out all the way while working on a project. But other than this, it's a good app. Lots of options and customizations available.

I do not understand the good reviews at all. You barely get started before it starts bugging you to upgrade. I would have considered doing it (and in fact knew from the get-go that full functionality would cost money) but I couldn’t get HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden to work at all. It has a few sample designs but will only let you play with those in a very limited way. There is no ability to create your own plan or upload a photo and work from that. And, to cap it off, the in-app advertising is HORRENDOUS. I do not have the patience for all this nonsense.

I downloaded HomeDesign3DOutdoorGarden just playing around, it’s fairly simple to get the basic layout of your house but haven’t done much more than that. I opted for the free version, maybe if I was ready to start building I would have bought the full version and been able to do more.
