It would be nice to actually be able to try to use the program before having to commit to buying it.
You can open and start to use it but if anything pops up on your screen (notifications from other programs, etc.) or if it feels like it, it deletes everything you were working on and gives you a blank page to start over. Sure, you can play with it to figure out some of the commands and controls, but not enough to finish a single room or the basic layout of a project.
It was more frustrating than helpful toward learning anything from it!

In the free version you can create a room, but when you switch apps to check furniture measurements or take a phone call, it wipes your design and you have to start over. You haven’t even closed their app. I won’t give money to a company that offers a free version with no ability to use it.

In the middle of making something, “take a second to rate our app?” Clicks later. Instantly deleted everything I spent a hour on.
Yes I’m aware the free version has no saving(which is stupid) but not even gonna let me finish my very first test design to take a pic of and get a feel for it?
It was going great till your money deprived selves did that so no. Pay to use gets a 0 star

I wanted to like HouseDesigner and even purchased the full version, but I can't deal with it anymore. It is difficult to figure out and a tutorial would have made it a lot easier to figure out basics without having to spend literal hours to try and do just a couple of things. The items available are basic and few, but for a $5 app, I don't expect more than that. What I do expect is to be able to edit/add on to a plan I was working on after I fully exit HouseDesigner and come back to it. HouseDesigner force closing or just putting a thin, blue line that immediately disappears where I wanted a room is not functional. This part is what really annoyed me the most after spending a few hours to learn the basics of HouseDesigner and begin a floor plan. Considering requesting a refund as this should be basic functionality of HouseDesigner . I did like HouseDesigner well enough until that point just to for my ideas on "paper" so to speak.

First, The walls don’t even stretch when you select to stretch it.
Second, I left HouseDesigner by accident for one second, I went back into HouseDesigner and all my progress was gone.
Finally, Make it more relaxing, make it smooth, when we zoom out, it makes us zoom in or zoom in somewhere else.

basically you have to buy the pro version or whatever to save your work which personally i didn't need to, i was just going to screen shot it for my school project. the sad thing is, HouseDesigner randomly closes on you and it deletes all the work you just did. i wouldn't suggest using it unless you have the other version. :(

I bought the premium version and used it 0n my iPad Air 3 (OS 15) for a couple of hours. I enjoyed some of the features and 3D view to walk through your floor plan. But there are too many bugs.
If you save your plan and come back later to continue working, it can no longer be edited. Not helpful for a big project. And it’s really a drag when HouseDesigner crashes before you are finished, and it did several times.
The wall texture feature defaults to a 2 layer option, where the upper half of the wall is white and wood paneling on the lower half. No matter how many times you adjust it, it falls back to this default.
I finally finished a room layout and saved it. Upon reopening it. It looked pretty nice. But the layer with the dimensions is not locked to the layer with the floor plan. They move around and zoom in and out independent of one another. Also, the 3D view loads without any walls after saving it. Just freestanding furniture and cabinets.
I gave HouseDesigner 2 stars, because it is a good start with nice templates and features. It has the potential to be a good app. But it just wasn’t usable with these shortcomings. So, I uninstalled it and asked for a refund.

Even with the upgraded premium version, HouseDesigner is continuing to crash over and over again. It’s to the point that I can’t even use it for more than a few minutes at a time, if I’m lucky. Would be such a great app, otherwise, but I feel like I wasted my money.

HouseDesigner itself is great. I , personally didn’t buy the nicer version because I don’t really need the ability to save. I’m using that to sort of test feasibility, before I ever plan to use the designs. But come on. There’s no reason you need to make HouseDesigner close down in the mist of my work. It’s like, hey, I’m actively using it right now, now trying to keep it open to get around the restrictions. And you’ve essentially programmed HouseDesigner to crash unless I spend money. I get that it’s only worth it to you if I pay, but I’m not gonna be frustrated and then put down money. No, I’m gonna get frustrated and then delete HouseDesigner . So consider your objectives unachieved.
Disappointed.

HouseDesigner times out in the middle of designing. I, like others , understand that you can’t save your design. I’m not a professional and would have no need to purchase the standard or pro version since I’m only needing it for one small project. It has potential to be great. If you’re money hungry have ad and ad free versions. Then it’s a win win for everyone. Also, there are very limited items to choose from and it’s really hard to tell what some things are. Anyways , just my two cents. I worked hard on a plan only to lose not once, not twice but three times before I was finished. More than an hour wasted.

I started and it was fun but then all the walls disappeared and I couldn’t redo it, I started a few new houses but the walls acted weird the last house I left it and when I came back the rooms got deleted after I fixed it on wall glitches making it look super long and in the wrong spot.

HouseDesigner keeps crashing even after the new update, I have the premium and it would be worth it if it didn’t kick me out every 30 seconds
by MiloMinnie21
I love the 3D features HouseDesigner but it glitches like crazzzyyyyy. There’s also not a lot of options for the counters and layouts and things. There’s not even a fireplace. Can I download more options? It’s so confusing. This is the best design app for just a regular home owner though. I didn’t have the blueprints to our new house so I was able to design it just by pics on Zillow pretty easily. If it was improved, it would be incomparable!!!!

HouseDesigner is okay for what it does. Consider changing how the measurements for items are entered. The items with the +/- are much easier for accurate entries, the slide button items make it difficult to enter the correct measurements on the 1st,2nd, 3rd (or more, depending on your fingers) try. Also, more decorative items would help also. And it would be nice to choose the type of flooring and then change the color of the flooring as well

The game is pretty nice 🙂
The only thing is YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SAVE YOU'RE HOUSE this is pretty sad 😕. I mean, who wants TO PAY to save you’re house. But you can save it to notes and other things, overall pretty nice game 😃

If you’re just trying to get ideas out of your head and on the screen, it’s useful. Would’ve been better if you could at least pick up where you left off tho.

I was trying to figure out room arrangements when relocating my bedroom to another. HouseDesigner made it easy. Great easy interface.

I’ve been playing with HouseDesigner for about two hours and I’ve accomplished far more than I thought possible. Very well designed for even beginners. Looking forward to upgrading for all of the features.
by Djnesti24
It is an application garbage by obligation there to buy the versions to be able to save the things that one believes I do not recommend at all if you want to increase the brightness of your cell phone and you were creating something you lose it because it is not saved
by Csalabama
Seems like HouseDesigner only gives you a certain amount of time to work on your plan then stops the session. Always with the reminder that the pay version will save; thus, what you’ve been working on for a long time won’t be erased like it is now. Too bad. Very frustrating.
by Ravenphin
The furniture and how your build are good, but when I check like my battery or raise the brightness, it erases everything that I’ve done.
by Llramrod1
There’s some minor problems that needs worked on but overall works good. Can’t flip my doors, not electrical, how do I put cabinets on the wall? No breakfast bars or bar stools, and it needs a tutorial to walk you through.
by Kerrtx
HouseDesigner works fine once you figure how it works. It was difficult to figure out how to add items for me. Once I found the button it all worked well for trial.
by Zr0ko0l
It's a good simple app but like everyone else it times out and 3d mode blacks out after a while. Paid version might be better.

Provided a good floor plan easily

I think the game gives you an opportunity to experience being a contrition worker, making blueprints and more.

I’m moving and using this to layout my bedroom. It’s super easy to use and add items!
