Flic app crashes

FlicApp crashes every time I click on Flic Twist advanced setup

Nice button, unfinished product

The buttons are very cute! The brand intents are nice. I wanted to live it.

But the overall product is unfinished. Hardware and software lack the ability to really integrate it in a robust smarthome.

The main concerns are:
- There is still no support for hidden wifi.
- NO integration with smartthings.
- No support of smarthome protocols beyond bluetooth.
- no investigation information when things are not working (battery level, button or bases out of range...)

Good for playing !

Smart button doesn’t connect and does not recognize other devices

It’s the single worst smart home solution I’ve ever seen. I got three flic2 smart buttons, two of which do not connect with my iphone. The third one connects but does not toggle my wemo smart sockets even when wemo app as well as google home is able to do so. Who designs a smart button that needs to be connected with bluetooth to the phone at all times when it doesn’t even operate anything on the phone?? And lastly, the two buttons which do not connect can’t be factory reset as well because after numerous attempts I’m unable to remove the battery.

Crashes immediately

The flic app on iPhone is no longer usable. I get past the terms & conditions switch but as soon as I enter my login info, FlicApp crashes and when I reopen its back on the terms & conditions. I cannot log in to access my hub or buttons at all.

New update now. Itching is connected to HomeKit

I have spent 9 hours the last two days trying to get everything to work. My 6 flic buttons and hun are unuseable after update I hard reset everything and delegated my home in home kit. Started from scratch…nothing I hate you flic.

Useless on IOS !!!

In order to send messages I have to pay. And other functions are worthless

Connectivity issues

Not sure where the problem is but had trouble connecting to Wi-Fi out of the gate. After force quitting I finally got it connected to the hub and now it can’t seem to find my Sonos speakers. Guess I’ll never know how good the buttons are

Such garbage

What a pile of hot shot. This is the wrist iot product ever created. Such sloppy engineering. Buttons constantly fail to work and flash randomly. Have a box of these buttons. I keep them as a reminder to never buy tech products without researching them first

No iPad app, lag

The idea is awesome and I believe the buttons can be greatly improved through software. The lack of an iPad app is a big disappointment though, since that's main main use for the buttons and that I usually use my iPad with the keyboard (landscape) and the screen will simply go into portrait mode and turn the screen sideways.
Great potential but devs have a long way to go because I'd start getting more buttons for random tasks.

Latest Update Crashes Constantly

Unsure if the last update introduced this bug, but as of the latest version, attempting to set an Advanced push and twist action for a Flic Twist immediately crashes FlicApp .

Horrible customer service and spotty connections

Very disappointed, would not recommend this product.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A dark mode would be much appreciated.

Great product, great utility, but there’s a persistent bug

I use my flic button to control my music in my old car, which is phenomenal because it turns it in to a basically handsfree system. I have it stuck on my dashboard and set up with my iPhone 8.

Developers PLEASE READ: roughly ⅓ of the time when I first get in the car and try to use it, FlicApp will not execute my music commands. I’ve tried lots of troubleshooting, but even when it doesn’t execute commands, the button is still connected to my phone (as evidenced by the “Connected” status in my Bluetooth settings). I’ll even open the flic app and it will show that the button is connected, but will not recognize presses. Sometimes, it counts presses and still doesn’t execute. I’ve found the only way to get it to work when this happens is to turn my Bluetooth (totally) off in settings and then turn it back on and ensure it’s connected in the flic app. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries. It’s incredibly frustrating because I never know when it’s going to happen, and it defeats the goal of not using my phone while driving. Hopefully you can address this bug!

Everyone is a critic

I don’t mean to nitpick. FlicApp has a great, and it does everything the devs say it would.

That said, I want to pull FlicApp up, auto-connect to my hub, and click the buttons as if I was pressing the actual button.

Is that possible? Did I miss that in the mix of programming my shortcuts and connecting my smart devices? It seems too obvious to not have implemented...

Needs to extend virtual keypad capability

This is a great product. I use it with my hubs, with my iPhone and iPads. I have recently discovered its Universal feature, which allows my flic to simulate a keypress on my PC and using something like Autohotkey accomplish a lot of new things.

I just wish their universal feature emulated a lot of ‘virtual’ keys, like F13 to F24. That way the hotkeys would not compete with software hotkeys.

I would love to have emailed this suggestion, but Shortcut Labs does not publish any emails addresses. A dubious practice.

Awesome concept

Very cool concept, I really enjoy the product. It does need work with its system but I really find this product useful

Best Button for a smart home!

Flic is the glue that ties my smart home together. Even with Alexa or Siri, sometimes it just best to control your lights when you walk into the room by the press of a button. Flic paired with the Flic Hub provides the fastest, I mean instant control of lights and other devices! Matter is also supported with their hubs which makes the buttons even more powerful. I love flic and how easy they make it to control almost anything with their devices.

Working great with Alexa!

Just enabled the Alexa skill and it worked just as described in the skill. So great! So easy and straightforward, I have absolutely no complaints!

HomeKit Support!!

The HomeKit integration is great and works as advertised. I love these buttons when integrated with HomeKit. I never used them until HomeKit support was available as that’s all I care about and Flic delivered in this category!

Great work.

The aplication UI is very easy to use. Buttons are very responsive when using the Hub. Thank you for adding HomeKit capability.
