Unable to create mandatory fields

Hubstaff is very confusing. I’ve used it for over a year and a half and they’re unable to meet the needs of my very small business. They won’t have video chats to walk me through very confusing processes, and instead send videos and guides that do not help me with what I needed to do.

Pros: Very cheap.

Cons: limited customer service… HubstaffTimeHours doesn’t update minute to minute, there is typically a fifteen to thirty minute delay on time. I cannot create mandatory fields for my contractors. It’s very confusing for my contractors to use when tracking time, because a lot of the times it doesn’t update times inputted right away, leading to multiple entries with missing fields. They don’t do video chats to walk you through the processes.

I guess you get what you pay for. I will be moving to a different platform.

Best time tracking app for virtual work

Hubstaff is my #1 recommend time tracking app. It’s the only time tracking app I use. As a recruiter for remote work, I advise many online business owners to use HubstaffTimeHours for managing their admin and encourage transparency in the remote work place.

The only downside is the updates to the payments feature has made it more challenging to track weekly pay from previous weeks back.

Outside of that, HubstaffTimeHours has been nothing but a breeze and allowed me to scale remote teams around the United States.

Tested and Trusted

There are things to be desired about the platform, but I assume they will fix these issues with time. For instance, we have struggled with the web version, and wasted valuable time dealing with slow support on a login issue with one of our employees. But, the mobile and desktop apps work well, and cross platform use beats other time tracking apps. We tried two other programs while we waited for hubstaff to fix our issues and ended up coming back — I think that says a lot.

Great Software- Especially for Remote Company

I love the fact the screenshots are exact and they provide a great detail on what activity is carried on while on the clock.

I love how there is a task management attached as well a job board for recruiters to fill a position in the company.

Very easy to maneuver and there is awesome integrations that will make usage easy and effective especially if you are start-up company looking for online time tracking system that has a lot features.

Great but could be better !

I actually prefer TSheets interface to this one. This one is simple and works great, but tsheets allows you to edit the time you’re in on the first screen. If you forgot to clock in, you don’t have to change screens from the menu, you can edit the start time right from the home screen.
At first I hated the blue bar at the top, but now I like it because I know if I’m clocked in or not. TSheets doesn’t do that !

It's useful but...

I wish for the desktop app there was a dark mode. As a developer I just don't like it's brightness. And I'm also a little aggravated that it checks to make sure I'm doing stuff all the time. I work on multiple machines and some days it will stop my timer and say I wasn't working. Then I have to go to my boss and get it fixed. It's just an unnecessary hassle. For what it gets right though, it gets really right.

Amazing tool

I think HubstaffTimeHours is very reliable, love how I don't have too worry about installing it everywhere cause now they offer web time tracker. I only think the integration with Redbooth for example a new work team I join it takes a while to show up on the desktop app. Other than that, the best experience for time tracking. Thank you

Easy to use.

My work place tracks our time with Hubstaff and the mobile app makes it easy to track when away from my computer. I can edit if needed on my computer later so I like that it's flexible and integrated that way.

Perfect on the go time logging

This is the perfect tool for clocking work hours when outside of the office. I also love how it works seamlessly with the desktop hubstaff time tracker. Any independent small business looking for team member time tracking should strongly consider this!

Very Efficient App!

I love HubstaffTimeHours! It makes life SO EASY when I have to clock in for a remote job. I can clock in very easily, and can also review hours worked, or anything else I need to know on the go. I’ve used other apps and they’re not as user-friendly as Hubstaff.

Easy to use

I use Hubstaff on my iPhone and the desktop version for work. My company requires all remote workers to track their time for projects (for billing purposes) and bonus opportunities. Both applications work great. I like the mobile app because I can log time from my phone and not have to log into my computer when tracking certain activities. It’s super easy to use and doesn’t take up a lot of space on my phone, so it doesn’t bog down performance or sap my battery.

Fills the gap when you are tracking time away from your desktop

Simple an easy to use. A great additional feature would be a (optional and custom) push notification, periodically, that reminds you the timer on your phone is still going.

I’m a business owner so I often need to check my team performance on the go or edit access or check a project budget while away of the office and I’ve been using Hubstaff for a year now so having the mobile app now makes it easier for me. Totally recommend!

Since implementing Hubstaff, our team has gained so much insight into the time and effort that goes into our various projects and tasks. We have realized the value that comes from our work and can measure it with real data. We can also better optimize our time spent on certain tasks or clients in order to deliver our best service without sacrificing resources for other projects.

I like the idea of being able to use this to measure your motivation and effort in the work you put in. There’s always room to do more, but never feel like I overwork myself either. This is a great way to give people power to their schedules, something I hope we see more in the future.

Great App for Teams

We use Hubstaff for our small team and are happy. It allows us to integrate with Asana. We are able to see exactly how much time we spent on each time. This is helpful to establish benchmarks for recurring tasks. And determine why some tasks took longer than usual. The iOS app allows us to track team members who are out in the field and the time they spent at each location.

Easy and convenient to use

This was easy and convenient to use. With both a mobile and desktop version, I was always easily able to keep track of my time for clients. My favorite feature, though, is that it takes screenshots periodically of my activity. This gives my clients the peace of mind that I’m doing what I said I was and relieves me of the burden on proof, if ever a question arises.

Super helpful for my business!

I use this daily to track my hours for all my clients. It’s nice to be able to show clients down to the second how much time I have spent on their projects. And at the end of the month, Hubstaff makes it super easy to total the time per client so I can send invoices quickly and easily. Great tool!
