Mirror for Roku Reviews

I didn’t have any problems installing Mirror , connecting to my Roku ultra, and selecting a site to this app to the Roku. But as soon as I started mirroring my iPhone to the Roku ultra, it would stop broadcasting after just a minute or two. And if I managed to keep it broadcasting it would show me a black screen with the message telling me my video was playing on the TV, and guess what it wasn’t. All I could see on the TV was the same black screen I had on my phone that was telling me the video was being broadcast of the TV. So between the stop and start broadcasting and then it telling me a video was showing on my TV when there wasn’t anything showing on my TV. I was getting the same thing on the TV I was getting on my phone the black screen with the message. I really expected a lot more from Mirror and I’m so sorry that I installed it. It said I have a one-week trial and I’m going to attempt to cancel it I hope.

Why would I pay $8.99 for an app that has bad resolution and the worst lag. My iPhone XR processor shows me the commands on my phone occurring 10seconds sooner than Mirror . Example: I simply open a new tab on Safari. My phone instantly shows me and Mirror takes a whole approximation of like 10seconds before it follows my phones command. Mirror can’t even search the web, that means it definitely can’t play COD Mobile or PUBG. Concluding a Lifetime or not for $8.99 is not worth wasting a dime on this foul resolution and laggy connection. FIX ASAP PLEASE. It shouldn’t take this long (Months) to simple fix the issue. I thought purchasing the $8.99 “Pro” membership would make the connection faster and improve the resolution. Address the issue please SIMPLY FIX THE LAG AND RESOLUTION instead of being lazy and stealing our hard earned money.

Paid for premium and worked for about an hour and then I got the black screen. Removed and redownloaded apps on both TV and phone. Now when I press “start broadcast,” it counts down from three and does nothing. Every time. Except for somehow prompting my TV which opens the roku app there over and over again, flashing the logo and “install and launch” message repeatedly. The only way to get this to stop is to delete Mirror from my phone because apparently somehow, even when Mirror is closed out, it is still prompting the TV to open its app. Checked for an update and it says Mirror is up to date. Very frustrated that this PAID version does not work. Do not spend your money here.

Difficult to use, lag time on screen, constantly shuts off the broadcast. And as I’m trying to figure it out, within the first 3 minutes of opening Mirror I was asked to review it 3 times. And the screen that pops up with the review request cannot be closed out of for at least 5 seconds. (That’s not a glitch— there is a five second timer that runs until you can decline the review request)

I still have no idea how to use Mirror . Between the requests for this review and the lag time on screen and the constant and random ending of my broadcast, figuring it out is too hard.

I’ve never felt like an app was “rude” to me before. So I guess that’s ground breaking stuff In a way.

It’s a nice function to have, but it’s so choppy and laggy it’s not worth 8 dollars to see pixels and glitches. Also there’s a very unthorough privacy policy and it SEEMS like Mirror developers are saving these streams but nowhere in there does it say they can. So hopefully they haven’t sold any of the information yet as it’s illegally obtained. Hopefully they fix these things and clarify more on their Tos & privacy policy

I purchased the pro version and the service got even worse. Lags behind from 7-10 seconds. I asked for a refund 20 mins after the purchase of pro and they pushed me off to Apple support which did absolutely nothing and denied me my money. Mirror DOESNT DO WHAT ADVERTISED. Connection is worse and quality is terrible. I’ve tried contacting istreamer (support) and they just have an automated message “Hi Anthony. We will get back to you shortly”. Thanks for the scam and wasting my money, time, and patients.

I rarely ever post reviews but Mirror is absolute trash and, to be honest, barely works and freezes constantly. I, like an idiot, bought the $9 version and I might as well have just flushed that money right down the toilet. I purchased Mirror on my iPad and it is not sharing the details of my purchase to my iPhone. To top it off, some of the apps I am steaming tv- such as Apple TV, will not allow me to watch their content and stream it to my tv. STAY AWAY AND DON’T WASTE YOU’RE MONEY!

So disappointed! Mirror is free, but only plays 1 minute free. It stops after the minute is up. You have to restart it. Doesn’t play real time, so there is a delay. I paid $9 for the pro in hopes that it would work correctly. Still just as bad if not worse. Recommend trying the $3 one because of the free trail. If that doesn’t work right, cancel the subscription! Would be a great feature if it actually worked.

I got nothing bad to say about Mirror ... it works good for my roku TV when I tried it.... but once I committed and bought the lifetime option, is acting as if I’ve never bought it, stops mirroring after the tryout minute 😡😡😡 even though I paid lifetime access.... try reaching out for a refund and they replied that an update it’s coming in a few days.... wish there was a warning before buying it.......

I purchased the lifetime subscription and so far I mirrored 2 hockey games and a movie it mirrors in HD the audio comes out of my TV and I’m really happy about that the problem is on every thing I have watched the stream stops and I have to exit out and restart the stream if an update fixes that it would be perfect

This is the only app I’ve tried and it worked. But, there are some things that I really dislike about Mirror. •you only have one minute to screen record.•and it’s pretty laggy and not high quality. But overall such a good app.

I just downloaded Mirror and so far it looks quite impressive as I have been trying to send my Apple Music to my Roku for quite some time now. I’ll follow up this review once I’ve mastered it’s functions

I tried it, I liked it, I took a lifetime membership for $8.99 which I felt was a great buy. Mirror so far has worked flawlessly. You do need WiFi and both your your phone and your Roku need to be connected to same network. I use the sound on my TV and turn the phone volume down which dies NOT affect the sound on TV. I use the CC’s in the movie I’m watching. You set up the movie to Run with captions if needed then you start up Mirror and touch “this app”/start broadcasting and the connection is instantaneous. Then you touch play on the movie and it starts up in a few seconds. There is a bit of lag between what you see on your phone and what you see on your TV but that can and should be expected! If you pause or stop the movie fir too long it will sometimes shut the this app app down off. Mirror works 100 times better than my Apple TV streamer. I will keep using Mirror, I hope it continues to be this good!!

Mirror connects to my Roku TV and allows me to stream my videos from my iPhone to my TV which is pretty nice. I mostly use it to view lecture videos from my university or play games. So far it is working like advertised without any issues. I think the support for mirroring apps and games is a really good feature and it should be improved in future. I want to suggest the feature to add sound when mirroring the screen then I will gladly buy Mirror . Great job either way keep it up. I recommend Mirror to all.

Mirror is a good option for mirroring screen to Roku TV. It has some minor problems like the casting is a little slow but other than that it works pretty well. So far ots the only working app I have found which doesn’t have any interruptions or glitches. I would like to recommend the feature of mirroring the screen in background mode, that would be perfect for my needs.
