Get Pricing Info for TracFone WirelessI purchased a new phone and took out the new Sim card and put my Sim card in that I had in my old phone and had activated it I gave them my phone number my Sim card number to activate the new phone I purchased off my direct express card so come to find out that theirs no network available. All I want is myn new phone activated . I purchased a 55 dollar straight talk card.
9/21/22, auto charged for the next month. All of a sudden, I cannot send or receive calls on my phone, but I can do everything else. Figured it would get fixed that evening...did not. 9/22/22 I spent hours researching the internet of things to try to fix this. Resetting network settings, removed and replace SIM card, rebooting multiple times as well as in safe mode. Then went to their website for technical help, go thru all the menus, finally get to the "technical help", states "Issue getting response, start over". I did this 3 or 4 times, getting the same message! Use the 611611 text, go thru those menus, states click this to "chat" with them. So I hit that, which takes you to the "helpless" website that does not work. 9/23/22 went to Walmart, where I got the phone and card for service, they no longer service straight talk. However, the guy did do a little digging for me and stated "your account is inactive". I looked at him and said then how can I get text/internet? He looks further and said "looks like you are only on a data only plan". Again, how can I get text? He was unsure also. 9/24/22 drove 45 minutes to friends house. He calls the 877-430-2355 support, talks to a lady, hands me the phone. I can hardly hear nor understand her. I told what the walmart guy stated, she did something, told me to reboot and try calling. I called friends phone and it went thru! I asked if I would get reimbursed for the time my calls were not working, she said they did not do that! I asked her what the problem was, she gave me some lame excuse, I asked again she did not reply. Asked again and she got angry with me and refused to tell me. On drive home I got 4 robo calls, got home tried calling and it does not work! 9/25/22 go to neighbors house to use her phone. talked with some lady who has me do *#06# to get IME #, then *73 which seemed to do nothing, reboot, reset etc. Cannot figure it out and sends me to a "higher dept" (overseas). Puts me on hold for 20+ minutes, says he has to update info when phone service is activated. Humm I have used their service for the past 7 years. tells me to reboot and try calling, did not work. Trying something else, he says turn the phone off for 30 minutes, then back on and I will call you back. I asked, "what if it does not work?" he states: I will call you back. "How can you call me back if the phone does not work?" "do you have a text or email I can contact you?" he says: "Just use another phone" . After 30 minutes I go to turn phone on but it is on. Try a call, but does not work. Here we go again. Called again...same thing the girl tries something else, does not work, has me doing the reboot, resets etc, sends me to the "higher dept". Different person, I told her what I had already been thru, she states she has to update something and I need to turn phone off wait 30 minutes then try it. Again I ask how they are going to call me if my phone does not work. Again I get the BS and I would have to call them back. I told her I have to go home...like they would care! Went home turned phone on, of course, does not work! I wasted around 3 1/2 hours on phone with them. I am heading back over to someone,s house to cancel straight talk and look for another service. PATHETIC customer service!
I need to switch my phone number to a different phone

5 years ago I joined straight talk. Everything started great. I had connection everywhere. I had no issues. A year or two later everything went straight down hill. Not even down hill. It took a nose dive. When I went to refill my 30 days. Days on my refill would be missing. After a certain amount of time they are supposed to be able to unlock your sim allowing you to do what ever with the phone or join a new provider with the phone you paid full price upfront for. It was impossible to get ahold of some one to speak for for eight months! No one answers the phone and you’re always 90+ chat queue. Meaning 90 people are ahead of you to TRY to get ahold of some one. They flat out refused to unlock my sin after I had the phone for 5 years. I hadn’t even used a day of my very last refill and was refused a refund. That day I had already decided to switch providers. I do not regret switching. Straight talk is a complete joke. Start great, continue great. Don’t screw your customers. With the understanding that people where out for COVID for a while. This whole trying to get ahold of some one took place after everyone went back to work a places where 100% open. The “high call volume” at this point is an excuse. Either that or straight talk has some serious issues and everyone is trying to get it fixed. Personally I would save your time and money and pick a different provider. Like I said I had used the for 5 YEARS. Please for your sake and sanity avoid!!

Been a Straight Talk customer for a few years now (I’m in the process of ending that). Their service comes from roaming agreements with the big carriers. In our area, they roam on AT&T, but that varies with the areas that they have contracts. To say that the problem with Straight Talk is their customer service would be implying that they actually have customer service. What they have is outrageous wait times (I’ve been on the phone with them for nearly 6 hours today), incompetent people that barely speak English, and those people constantly tell you “I guarantee” that whatever they aren’t really doing will fix the issue that you’ve spent all night trying to get them to address. The line that I’m trying to get them to fix hasn’t worked for over 24 hours and started with a call several days ago to them, where that person gave me the wrong information (which I questioned at the time because I thought it was wrong but “I guarantee you that it’s correct.”). 24+ hours later, 6 hours on the phone with them (the bulk of which was on hold) and the phone STILL doesn’t work. On a final note, when you get fed up with them (you will if you ever have a reason to contact them), count losing your number when you switch carriers. That’s where this is currently heading for us. At this point, I regret ever getting involved with them and hate the company with a passion. Hate to say that as much as I used to tell people to go with them.

We had a problem with the SIM card after spending 45 dollars on a prepaid package. The person at straight talk had no idea after an hour on the phone, the manager of electronics had no idea but acted as he did and referred us to some guy that had a kiosk in the store selling what we found out were overpriced, used phones. He was able to figure out the SIM card. We, throughout a week or two had three more calls with straight talk. They troubleshooted the same way as all previous, they did not listen to any relevant information we had to provide. After 4 collective hours on the phone with them giving us the runaround, we had enough and asked for our money back. As you could expect they said it wasn’t possible and told us to buy a new phone and they would “guarantee” it would work, with no actual guarantee. We asked for a refund, asked to send one of their “50 dollar phones,” and naturally, nothing but excuses and words of impossibility. They don’t have to have customer service, act like they care when they don’t, they’re generally not that bright and have no idea what they’re talking about even in regards to the product they represent. I recommend going with sprint or having a group plan to lower cost instead. This company is a bigger joke as a whole than their customer service branch.
