Great Service with multiple carriers

Really have good experience with customer service but seldomly if not at all do I need it if your having a problem with your service or signal and they say you wanna switch to another carrier straight talk and make that happen for you as long as you have a compatible device been with straight talk for a good while now and plan on staying longerSince I am strictly using AT&T because of the area that I live the only issue I have is the hotspot is not compatible with AT&T devices so essentially I’m paying for features that I can’t useYou might try to use it and yes it will work but it will take your data good for an emergency situation if you need to access the Internet on a mobile device Great customer service great support and great for someone that switches out devices as much as I do and back and forth and so on five stars thank you

Not worth it at all!

5 years ago I joined straight talk. Everything started great. I had connection everywhere. I had no issues. A year or two later everything went straight down hill. Not even down hill. It took a nose dive. When I went to refill my 30 days. Days on my refill would be missing. After a certain amount of time they are supposed to be able to unlock your sim allowing you to do what ever with the phone or join a new provider with the phone you paid full price upfront for. It was impossible to get ahold of some one to speak for for eight months! No one answers the phone and you’re always 90+ chat queue. Meaning 90 people are ahead of you to TRY to get ahold of some one. They flat out refused to unlock my sin after I had the phone for 5 years. I hadn’t even used a day of my very last refill and was refused a refund. That day I had already decided to switch providers. I do not regret switching. Straight talk is a complete joke. Start great, continue great. Don’t screw your customers. With the understanding that people where out for COVID for a while. This whole trying to get ahold of some one took place after everyone went back to work a places where 100% open. The “high call volume” at this point is an excuse. Either that or straight talk has some serious issues and everyone is trying to get it fixed. Personally I would save your time and money and pick a different provider. Like I said I had used the for 5 YEARS. Please for your sake and sanity avoid!!

Horrible Customer Service

Been a Straight Talk customer for a few years now (I’m in the process of ending that). Their service comes from roaming agreements with the big carriers. In our area, they roam on AT&T, but that varies with the areas that they have contracts. To say that the problem with Straight Talk is their customer service would be implying that they actually have customer service. What they have is outrageous wait times (I’ve been on the phone with them for nearly 6 hours today), incompetent people that barely speak English, and those people constantly tell you “I guarantee” that whatever they aren’t really doing will fix the issue that you’ve spent all night trying to get them to address. The line that I’m trying to get them to fix hasn’t worked for over 24 hours and started with a call several days ago to them, where that person gave me the wrong information (which I questioned at the time because I thought it was wrong but “I guarantee you that it’s correct.”). 24+ hours later, 6 hours on the phone with them (the bulk of which was on hold) and the phone STILL doesn’t work. On a final note, when you get fed up with them (you will if you ever have a reason to contact them), count losing your number when you switch carriers. That’s where this is currently heading for us. At this point, I regret ever getting involved with them and hate the company with a passion. Hate to say that as much as I used to tell people to go with them.

Much better options, customer service is a joke

We had a problem with the SIM card after spending 45 dollars on a prepaid package. The person at straight talk had no idea after an hour on the phone, the manager of electronics had no idea but acted as he did and referred us to some guy that had a kiosk in the store selling what we found out were overpriced, used phones. He was able to figure out the SIM card. We, throughout a week or two had three more calls with straight talk. They troubleshooted the same way as all previous, they did not listen to any relevant information we had to provide. After 4 collective hours on the phone with them giving us the runaround, we had enough and asked for our money back. As you could expect they said it wasn’t possible and told us to buy a new phone and they would “guarantee” it would work, with no actual guarantee. We asked for a refund, asked to send one of their “50 dollar phones,” and naturally, nothing but excuses and words of impossibility. They don’t have to have customer service, act like they care when they don’t, they’re generally not that bright and have no idea what they’re talking about even in regards to the product they represent. I recommend going with sprint or having a group plan to lower cost instead. This company is a bigger joke as a whole than their customer service branch.

Junk!!! 😡😷

Update: After my initial review I received an email from Frank directing me to a link to chat support to make things right. My initial to response after reading it was to trash it because it probably was another waste of time and effort and probably still wouldn’t get me nowhere. I thought better of it and gave it a shot anyway because I’m paying for a service that I can’t use and this has been going on for at least a year and now I have a new laptop I can’t connect my hotspot I’m paying for to. I followed Frank’s advice and link he provided to relive this nightmare again and was stopped dead in my tracks again. Now Fredy kept me staring at the screen waiting and waiting to finally tell me there’s nothing there anyone can do about the issues I’m having to call on a different phone and he couldn’t find no notes from Frank in reference to why I was there nor did he seem the slightest bit interested in making something right! 😡😡 This is totally insane!! I kid you not I’m not spending another dime on this trashy service as of the next billing cycle these clowns has got to go and guess what? I’m taking my husbands service with me too and don’t waste your time trying to stop me!! And thanks Frank for once again wasting my time! 🙄😡🤮

Goodbye straight talk

My husband and I have been with this company for a while and yesterday was the worst. We had to call customer service several times because we kept getting different answer from each persons we talked to. After about 4 hours I finally had enough and talked to a supervisor who helped me. Why the call wasn’t escalated to someone who could help in the first place was beyond me. As soon as
We decide on another company we will be switching. Also to the developer no I do not wasn’t to call customer service to speak to you all again just to go around and around for hours never getting an issue fixed. You really need to look at your customer service because price is not everything. Loyal customers expect and want good customer service where issues are fixed and we don’t have to call back multiple times. Oh and one rep told me they have a call time limit yeah they couldn’t help me any more because their call time limit was up. And instead of transferring me to a supervisor they hung up. Nope you won’t change my mind you lost a customer and I would tell other people that until you get your customer service in order they should stay away from your company.

Where did my data go?

I just moved to an area that doesn’t have fiber optics yet (should be another month) so I’ve been using a strait talk hotspot since my strait talk phone doesn’t have a hot spot) we filled it with 5 gigs on Sunday night (didn’t use it ) Monday morning I logged in to my computer to work and after 10-15 minutes it was out of data. After a frustrating call to their no service center (where every one is a manager, so you don’t need to ask for anyone else🙄) they told me they would have to give it to someone else and they would call me back.
Once they called back they realized the data had disappeared and reset it. I pulled up a couple emails and was done for the night. Tuesday morning I logged in, used it for about an hour and it disappeared again.
Another frustrating 40 minutes on the phone with a “Manager “ who was waiting for HER call center to answer the phone and talk to her so she would have an answer for me🙄 and all she came up with was
“We need to wait 24 hours to see where the data went” so now that 3 days I haven’t been able to work even though I just paid $50 for data.
DONT GET THEIR HOTSPOT!!! It’s not worth it.

Disappointed in what customer services called a glitch

Except for the past several months I always received text message notifying me that I only a week or so left on my plan before I would need to refill it. However for the last several months I have not received any notifications, the only indication that something was wrong was the loss of phone and mobile access, which has resulted in dropped calls, loss of internet while trying receive documents, or my current favorite; google maps losing connection in the middle of a trip in another state. After this last time I contacted a customer service rep and stated the issues I was having, I was informed that there was glitch or software error on their part and that was it. No solution, just a scripted apology, basically left in limbo. My family members and friends who also have straight talk still receive notifications; this is what I find annoying, how has a glitch on their end affected me and not members of my family who use similar phones and data plans. My rating will stay low until I have been given a detailed answer and solution to this annoyance.

Just Honestly Needs A Modern Update

Before I criticize, this is honestly the most helpful app if you are using anything tied to Straight-Talk wireless. Now the downfalls to StraightTalkMyAccount are the dinosaur features. StraightTalkMyAccount is in need of some modern updates. I’ve never visually seen an update to StraightTalkMyAccount but I know there has been some bug fixes here and there. Your Wal-Mart though, and what we expect is nothing less than that. StraightTalkMyAccount can be so much better, from simply just adding a feature of simplicity. Take a charge and fix these things, many of us, including me will definitely enjoy having StraightTalkMyAccount take us to exactly where we need to go in a more timely and efficient manner. P.S. The web browser function should be taken out. It’s the cause of major lags. So I honestly suggest that you incorporate those features into StraightTalkMyAccount and do it discretely

Definitely not “Conmitted to supporting” their customers

First, StraightTalkMyAccount is very limited. Everything opens your browser to their webpage so it makes StraightTalkMyAccount almost pointless. Most importantly the service all around is bad. Reception is terrible, lapse time in network after adding a new plan is ridiculous and they expect you to sit on a different working phone (as there’s no network on daily phone) for extremely long time frames while they sort through the issues, and worst fault I have experienced thus far is they offer very limited options for financial variations. They claim they are committed to supporting their customers - just not all of them. For example, customers such as myself who meet the requirements for free or discounted service but fall through the cracks because safelink isn’t available in my area. Maybe straight talk can’t control safelinks coverage area but they do control with whom and/or how many programs, entities, etc., they partner with. Committed equals ensuring no customers left behind. That is not what’s happening with straight talk.

Enjoyable experience

I switched from at&t in 2015. I used my at&t iphone and converted it to straight talk. It’s been a blessing. I’ve bought 2 straight talk iPhones through Walmart and recently convinced my wife to switch from cspire to straight talk in 2020. She was with cspire for 20 plus years back when it was cell south. The cell service was not good and we needed coverage at our home so the coverage I got with straight talk at home made her decision even easier. The monthly cost is efficient and we are happy with our plans and costs. We recommend anyone to switch to straight talk because the phone selections are super and we are trying to convert as many as we can. Why? Because the points are an awesome perk and come in handy when we are in a financial bind. Thx straight talk. We love y’all

I like Straight Talk

I used to have Sprint which is not nearly as good as straight talk. I got a new iPhone through Straight Talk wireless and decided to try their Straight Talk ultimate plan for $55 a month. Straight Talks service on the ultimate plan for $55 a month with unlimited data works perfect. I have increased my rating to 5 stars now that they got the issue with the data usage meter fixed in StraightTalkMyAccount . Now that I have been with Straight Talk going on almost 4 months now. I’m growing to really love their service because it actually works. The internet speed at which I can work online with my iphone is amazing most of the time. So I yes I think I’m going to be staying with Straight Talk for a while. Maybe I will even upgrade to iPhone 11 this year. Straight Talk you are really awesome. Thanks

Looks good...Does not work.

I have had StraightTalk for I believe 6 years now, and had StraightTalkMyAccount for around a year. When I purchase a card at the store, there has never been an issue. Once I downloaded StraightTalkMyAccount, I have had to contact customer care EVERY SINGLE MONTH, sometimes more when it is not resolved the first time.

StraightTalkMyAccount is pretty, and seems to function well, but when I go to purchase airtime, it says something like, “Error. Contact customer services”. I have had 3 different cards tied to my account, all of which have had the problem, and no one can ever explain to me why this happens. All the time I have wasted waiting on hold and explaining the same thing over and over to very nice, but seemingly under qualified people, is too much work for me. I have deleted StraightTalkMyAccount , and am considering a more convenient service as well. Sad, because I honestly get fairly good service with my phone. I just think with the offers available, it might be worth switching now.

Easy to use

I love straight talk I’ve been using it for over 2 years now. I’ve recently started using StraightTalkMyAccount on my phone which makes it so much easier. The only two bad things with straight talk is if you live in a certain area then you won’t have good service but where I live it’s perfect the other thing is I wish it was easier to get rewards points because it’ll take like 4 years of using auto refill to get the 4000 points needed for a free month of service but once again it’s better than most other carriers. Also I like I don’t have to do any of those 2 year contract bs like other carriers makes you do and I bought my IPhone from straight talk cheaper than I could find anywhere else. I suggest straight talk to anyone who has Verizon/AT&T towers around them (that’s what towers they use). Thanks straight talk for never letting me down :)

False advertisement not unlimited like advertised

I purchased a “unlimited” $55 talk, text and data with 10GB hotspot plan for my phone. I paid my phone on the 27th of last month yet I have no data yet my plan is supposed to cover till the 27th of this month I called and spoke to a young man was told that my phone should be running on the slower data (2G) till the 27th I explained that I’m completely cut off from my unlimited data plan but that I understood if I was to receive the slower data but I wasn’t receiving it so I asked for the supervisor and I was told by the supervisor that I used all the data from my “UNLIMITED” plan and that if I want data I have to pay extra... smh I proceeded to explain that my phone is supposed to be on the 2G data plan till the 27th he said that they can’t provide data because I’ll consume more and that the system won’t allow me to have data unless I pay for extra data till the 27th. This is ridiculous unlimited is unlimited don’t advertise if you can’t deliver.

Horrible customer service, Bad security practices, Broken app

Have had StraightTalk for a few years, and am now porting out to a different service. Reasons are as follows:
Terrible customer service; you can barely understand them, and they are incredibly unprofessional. (On top of that, they seem to see our passwords in plain text, due to their laughs at a password joke)
StraightTalkMyAccount doesn't work; I am unable to update any of my profile settings due to "date of birth" being un-selectable.
Bad security practices; their customer support seeing passwords in plain text aside, my security questions seem to have changed on me a couple times, requiring me to change them back. Additionally it is almost comical how easy it is to call in and change your security settings, given information about you is readily available online.
Non-adherence to FCC porting standards; porting a number shouldn't take longer than 2.5 hours, whereas StraightTalk can take up to 48 hours.

Dont deserve 1 star

UPDATE: I received an email about contacting Straight Talk about how they can “save” me as a customer and it was the same old stuff. I would have preferred my money back given that the new service plan I had was slow! Still got no where, they were not able to “save” me as a customer.
I will NOT be returning or telling others to join this mess.

I have had so many issues with this crappy service. It has gotten worse and I am sick of their lame guest services. They don’t care about helping customers out at all. I upgraded my plan and the internet service was extremely slow which makes no sense since I just got it and the same day I changed it, it was okay the. Really slow. I don’t even watch movies on my phone just do my Homework and look at fb for a little bit and call it a day.
This is the second time this week I had talked to someone and the service is still the same. Next month I will be leaving if not sooner. This is the WORST service I have ever had.

Love straight talk

Way cheaper then Verizon an all other major carriers I was paying 89$ a month for unlimited version now I pay 50 a month for straight talk straight talk may not be quite as fast as Verizon but I don’t use my phone enough to pay 89$ worth that’s for people who have no life an either waste money because they don’t get there 89$ worth or because there rich and can afford it I only use my phone about 3-4 hrs out of the day straight talk works perfect for me for someone who stays on there phone 12-15 hrs a day Verizon 89$ a month may be what they need that or a computer I’m not sure but I can say this for the amount of time I’m on my phone each day straight talk is good enough for me

Very Frustrated

If you have not downloaded StraightTalkMyAccount then I wouldn’t suggest it. I have had nothing but trouble out of it since I downloaded it. It linked mine and my mom’s accounts together somehow and I have been trying for two months to get this fixed. StraightTalkMyAccount contains my email but her PIN number is the one they expect when I contact them. How does that even happen? They suggested maybe my mom had one of my old phones but nope not it. I’ve had my number for a total of five years and she has had hers for several years as well. If they meant phones specifically that would be a no as well since both were bought brand new and we still have them. After contacting them numerous times it is still messed up. I asked how to delete my account from StraightTalkMyAccount altogether and was told that it wasn’t possible. If they don’t have enough control over StraightTalkMyAccount to be able to fix an issue that their company made then they probably shouldn’t have an app at all.

Worst company EVER

I have had Straight Talk for over five years. They give you points every month for being a loyal customer, but it isn’t much. It took me five years to save up these points, and I used them to get two free month of service. But what happened? They took my points, but charged me anyway!! When I called them up about it, they kept sending my call to all these other agents who didn’t know what they were doing, until I reached one that just kept repeating I was all paid up and everything was good. I hung up on her deciding I want to end my service the following month. What happened immediately after? I start getting these automated texts, one after the other, harassing me! I kept trying to opt out, only for it to start the automated text over again!! I had to BLOCK the number!! So SCREW YOU Straight Talk!! I’m switching to another company, and I got a new phone, too!! I hope your company goes through bankruptcy!

Customer Service is not the best

Recently I upgraded my phone. I gave my old phone to my husband. When we tried to switch his straight talk service over to my old phone I was told it needed a new SIM card even though the phone was not really that old. We waited 3 days for it in the mail and when I called to have my husbands phone number switched over the guy I spoke to (he said his name was Ralph) kept asking me the same questions over and over and putting me on hold saying he needs to speak to his supervisor. I specifically told him that we wanted to keep my husbands number as it is on his business cards. Well over an hour goes by and I had to go to work. Ralph tells me it is taken care of and if we aren’t able to make a call just shut it off and back on. Well it did not work. We had been given a whole new number. It took two more calls to get it resolved. The 3rd rep I spoke to knew what she was doing and was able to fix it but she was very rude at the beginning of the conversation. I asked her to hold for a moment to put my dog out so I could hear her and she said rudely that she would only hold for 2 minutes. After being put on hold many, many times by 3 different reps for what should have been a simple phone swap. It made me so mad but it seemed clear that if I didn’t act super nice she wouldn’t help me. I love my new phone and I love straight talks prices but I hate EVERY time I have to call in.

It does what it says it does.

Great app for adding airtime anytime you please! If you want to put some time in reserve, just do it. It adds your minutes to the end of your scheduled end date. It doesn't delete your remaining time or data. By the way, 10 gb for $45 for Bring Your Own Phone? I get great service at an economical price that even the big boys and girls, AT@T, Verizon, T-Mobile etc..., can't even come close to matching. StraightTalk is a Straight-shooter! And if you buy a 3 month, 6 month or one year card you won't have those annoying monthly bills. For me, I feel safer buying a card than giving my debit or credit card over the phone. The absolute Best Deal for cell-phone service on Planet Earth ! And even in the entire Milky Way galaxy !

Early de-activation of my account

I have been a loyal straight talk customer from the very beginning. I have had the same phone and phone number for 7 years.. I buy the 30 day unlimited card each month. I purchased the last card on June 3rd, 2019. I received a text message saying my service would expire on July 3rd 2019. Today is June 29th 2019. It is 11:45 a.m. and my phone has been shut off every since 7:00 a.m. this morning. I use this phone for work. Customers call me on this number and this is how I communicate with everyone. What should I do? Should I sue Straight Talk for lose of money and potential deals that could have been made this morning. I call the 1-877 number and it says my account is de-activated and prompts me to add more phone time. I listen to all of the available options and I am never allowed to speak to an actual customer service representative. After it prompts me to add time a few different ways.. it just hangs up on me.. HELP!!!

David W Smith

StraightTalkMyAccount is very simple and easy to use, I totally enjoyed it. There is no guesswork and is very comprehensive so I know exactly what I did and what I’m doing and what’s coming up next month. This definitely gets a five star rating. I only wish I had discovered straight talk along time ago the cost per month couldn’t be more reasonable and l went from $200 a month to $55 a month. Not that I want my bill any higher but I would definitely be willing to pay more if you raised it, like I said the rate is very reasonable. Every chance I get I’m constantly telling people about straight talk and for them to switch over from their high current plan.

Depending on which version, Issues are present in this App!

After my last review I had stated an issue in the To buy on the month to month tab. While only getting 2/3 the way thru after entering card info only to get to the CVV portion with no visible method to proceed forward?!. Second is a issue with sending feedback thru StraightTalkMyAccount in the menu, try using this only to find it to be blank nothing. Tried to get to the feedback from the support help area issue still present, Blank page. Turn off all forms of Advertisement blocking still nothing even rebooted phone even. The first issue had the button hidden off to the side bottom tray area, not visible color matches the background. After all these are the two issues that need attention, please fix.

Best phone service I’ve ever had.

I have been utilizing Straight Talk for at least two years now. It is wonderful for the whole family especially with anyone that is on a budget. With great cellular products and many plans to choose from, so picking one that is perfect for you is not at all an issue. I can ultimately attest with honesty that with everything thing Straight Talk has to offer, it has been truly an affordable convenience. And who could forget about their awesome rewards program that no one else can compare to. Thank you Straight Talk for offering a wonderful cellular service that can’t be beat.

Rewards points

I just transferred for one phone to a new one.
I tried to get into my account that I have not logged into in over two years to find out that it had the wrong email tied to my account.
I had to create the email that was wrong in straight talks system just to get into my account to find out I have no points and not even my name or info in the system.
I called to get everything fixed and they act like I’m a new customer lol even tho I have been a customer from 2013.
I called multiple times to find out what the problem was and they can’t find and thing in their system about my account Even tho I have been paying with the same phone number and same credit card for over 2-3 years that I know of.
Wow blows me away that they can’t tie my name, my phone number, my email or even my credit card to my account.
I’m just wondering what response they would have if the FBI or other government agencies tried to look at my account.
I’m really mad and worried at the same time, do they let a lot of illegal stuff happen on the customer accounts for not to be able to find basic info on just one customer???
I Would not recommend a reckless incompetent company to handle any information through straight talk or out sourced company they are affiliated with.
