This was a fun game when I started to play couple months ago. But it is a expensive game. Your game money worth shxt cuz all the speciality chefs cost gems, which needs to be earned by watching ads, or paid $$$ to buy. You used to be able to super active and play well if u don’t wanna spend too much on a game. Then somehow, everything changes. Speciality chefs cost more than double as much as before, and the event gave less points than before. It’s as if the gamer want us to spend more money on this game. And not to mention all the glitches in the game, which is frustrated sometimes. I think there are a lot of cooking game in the world, no need to try this one.

Suggestion to gamer: don’t be greedy. If you are generous, players will be generous. If you are stingy, good luck keeping this game alive.

Update: Developer, WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE BASE OF THE GAME????? Wheat is so commonly use and u guy made it 30 minutes? If I didn’t know better, I think you guys are discounting players for being active and want to push us away from playing the game. 😡

It has appealing mechanics and graphics definitely. I was really enhoying it. But the inventory management is worse than any other farm type game I have played. You can’t even delete items when you have a full barn your only option is to use them or sell them on the market, or guess what SPEND DIAMONDS to upgrade your storage! You only have a limited number of selling slots and if you play like normal you wont be able to actually use items because you cant access the different chefs until you have collected their made items. Finally on top of this when you harvest your animals you can’t just harvest one item you have to harvest all of them at once or none at all. Which means you have to have SIX OPEN SLOTS. Terrible. May play again if they at least let you delete your freaking excess items.

I’m on level 64 and I have tons of money which does me no good . I love getting new chefs and decorating my restaurant but the only way I can get a new chef is the challenges because I’m not gonna spend real money for the tokens it takes to buy them. The quests last for days and are time consuming only to get a small reward for your efforts. I can get 2 tokens for just feeding a table that has a reward attached to it. It was fun until you obtained all the chefs you can get by cooking. Like I said, I’m not spending real money in a game. I loved it when I was working to get new chefs and decorating but....nothing to work for anymore. When I level up now I get coins which do me no good. What am I going to spend them on? If I could convert them into gems that would be cool because I’m not spending real money to buy gems to expand either. It was fun at first but I think I’ve gone as far as I can. Bummer

This is the only game I’ve ever played (besides World chef...same developers) where the developers are so greedy that they change the game play periodically in ways that rob you of your game progress and halt or bog down game play. Their most recent Valentine’s update robbed us of a HUGE amount of barn storage that took hundreds of our to acquire. And now they are selling tool and gem packages to restore it!!!!!

My club members are so angered, disgusted and frustrated that players are quitting the game left and right.

I have played this game for over a year because I loved the creative concept and social aspect, however the game is full of glitches that they NEVER repair. Chat has been broken for over a year and only works two days a week for most of us. Support has nothing, but empty promises.
And Developers have decreased rewards over time to a laughable pittance.

It’s a shame. This game could be great, but the developers do not care about their customers. Feedback goes unheeded. World chef was the same way, and I got fed up. They have destroyed this app in the same ways. If you play long enough you will see exactly how ruthlessly greedy they are. Truly the worst customer service I have experienced in a game.

I played this game for awhile now and with the Christmas update I think it’s terrible now. You as developers changed what the chefs make so now I have to go around and search for the different meals to make. The meals require too many harvestable foods, like the fried rice takes four different foods. ALSO WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE WHEAT TIME AS ITS ONE OF THE MOST USED FOODS!!! Corn also takes forever to grow it seems. You also changed how to be able to level up chefs because you need to be a certain level to do that, like you need to be a one gem farm to be able to upgrade the chefs sometimes. I also think that all the requirements to make your farms level up are too much. Why is the brown cow 10,000 coins? I can’t even get up that high to get the different animals because there’s so much other stuff to do like getting tables, which are expensive, chefs and decorations. I do like that we got other foods but if you are giving us that many foods give us more farm spots so we can make more food for everything. Please rethink your update, very disappointed. I only continue to play hoping you’ll change things again, but if you don’t I’ll just delete TastyTown and find something better.

The game is fun at first but once you begin to progress you can’t do much unless you buy diamonds. The player market is pointless because they only give a few slots for items to buy and they are always either already purchased or an item that you can’t buy because you aren’t far enough in the game. Your fellow players can’t help you out much because you have to hold onto everything you have. You can’t share if you wanted to. The prices of items and upgrades are ridiculous and you barely get money from serving tables. Then there’s the food truck game. It’s designed to make you lose. Don’t bother to use diamonds to upgrade because the game will just get harder and you will still lose way more often than you win. You can have all upgrades maxed out and not lose any customers but still lose over and over. It bombardes you with customers at the end instead of spreading them out evenly. Playing it gives you anxiety and that’s not what I want from a game. I got to level 25 but I’m done now. I spent a lot of money on this game but it’s still difficult to play. If you play, don’t waste your money. You’re literally paying to stress yourself out instead of playing a fun relaxing game which is how it starts.

I am giving TastyTown 2 stars because it has been a lot of fun going from the kitchen, to the farm, to upgrades and then to serve from a food truck. But the game has a flaw and right now I am stuck and cannot pass. After you sign in through Facebook and get extra diamonds you are sent to help Julia, the main character with one of her delivery trucks. It asks you to provide bread to complete an order. I didn’t have bread in my inventory and it then makes you purchase bread for 10 diamonds(there goes the Facebook diamonds) and then nothing. You are competent stuck and out of diamonds. If you start TastyTown over, it goes immediately back to her Julia and her delivery trucks and wanting you to purchase the bread again. Well now I don’t have 10 diamonds. It’s really frustrating and I don’t think it’s worth downloading until and update can fix this. I think I will be deleting TastyTown, unfortunately.

This game used to be really fun and I enjoyed playing it a lot. However, they keep making it significantly harder to progress in the game without spending money. First, they lowered the rewards for achievements to 1 gem each (instead of a tiered system based on the achievement’s difficulty), so new players have to do significantly more work to earn gems compared to early adopters. Then they added a cash-only premium restaurant. Now they have a cash-only “cooking pass” that is required if you want to actually get decent rewards from events, so the events aren’t any fun. On top of all that, it’s extremely easy to miss-spend large amounts of gems because there is no confirmation dialog when you accidentally hit the button.

Oh, and for the past few months the game crashes or freezes or otherwise bugs 100x more frequently than previously, so it’s frustrating to even play the basic game itself.

Plus a lot of the good social players have been leaving the game for these exact reasons, which makes it even less fun.

tl;dr: the game is a rip off as SocialPoint is more concerned with making a quick buck than making a quality game that keeps long term players who will likely still spend some money.

I was hesitant to download this game, because I felt that it would have been basically WC with extra perks. However, I do enjoy the concept and gameplay. The game is more interactive and social and there are more events than with WC.

The downside is that this game is definitely pay for play, but almost all mobile games are like this now. Gems aren’t necessarily difficult to come by but some upgrades are pricy. Also, I’ve noticed that you unlock chefs, tables etc way faster than your ability to actually expand the restaurant. So I’m stuck in this slow loop. I wish finding items to expand were easier. Furthermore I’ve noticed that my actual WC app hasn’t picked up on the fact that I’ve downloaded TT and made it level 13 in fact.

The overall game is great. Especially for being free (for the most part.) The ads have to be my biggest complaint. Agree with another review that the 3 page ones are kind of ridiculous. Also some ads are false advertising; games I have played before, but totally different than the ad shows. Most ads don’t play sound when I have my sound off, but a few will just start blasting, also annoying. Another very annoying thing is how often the ‘sales’ on gems or whatever pop up. Minimum of 3 times every time I play. I’d love to make the recommendation that the crops can be sped up with upgrades or something. Maybe be able to hire a gardener that helps them grow quicker? I spend way too many hours playing this game so clearly I enjoy it, just a few minor frustrations.
Updating with one less star: 90% of ads started freezing or not playing at all. I’m spending twice as much time watching ads because I’m not spending $100 on this game. It’s not my connection.. I’ve had zero other problems with anything on my phone.

I’m being nice given it three stars only because I see the potential and the fun in the game if you have money to spend like real money. I don’t have real money like that to spend on a game so right now I can’t play the game because for some reason my storage is full nonstop I can’t get rid of nothing or sell anything or throw it away and if I do give it away or sell it my storage still stays full regardless so I just can’t play it there’s nothing I can do on it right now I can’t even collect from the animals if the storage will let you hold more stuff or throw some stuff away if you just don’t want it so you can collect other stuff it might be a lot more funner and I would give it a whole lot more stars.

I like playing the game and I understand things can’t be instantaneous..and I understand you want us to spend our real money; however, I feel the payout for waiting so long for some of these things is not worth it....for example you have to wait 12 hours or more for the trucks to come back with 3 items...if you’re going to set it up like that then make the items more worthwhile or a higher number of items. The ratio of items to upgrade the pantry far outweigh the items to upgrade the barn...which is really needed.
Some of the food items take wayyyyy to long to prepare....also I don’t mind ads...but the ads that are 3 separate screens is soooo annoying. (Sharepoint ads).
Hope you’re open to suggestions.....

I have really enjoyed this game, but my phone just updated and I have to say I’m not sure I like these changes. The switches on the amount of time are startling, my basic products of wheat and corn and my pigs take much longer. I liked those fast and more unusual things longer. Why do so many dishes just require pork or sugar with no other ingredients?
Also, you did you get rid of my critics? I love my critics and need them back pronto! Next update please! I don’t expand my dishes or get a new chef until the critic or food blogger come in with a request. I love that and love worker to get them their new dish. I’ve served 40 or so tables and the critics haven’t walked in.

Great game. Absolutely fun and catchy! However, if I could recommend one more thing that would be for the developers to change the way we can re-arrange things in the game. They should make it the same way as in Game if Thrones where you can take everything out of the picture momentarily and be able to place things wherever you want. I say this because once you grow too much in this game, you eventually ran out of space and it is very hard to find free spots to place things while you move other things around. DEVELOPERS IF YOU READ THIS PLEASE CHANGE THAT CHARACTERISTIC! YOU WOULD MAKE US MUCH MORE HAPPY AND WE WILL ATICK TO THE GAME FOR WAY LONGER! THANK YOU!

I love this game. However, I do not think that you should ever have to pay for gems when they are earned. For example, my jar filled up from performing various tasks for a total of 220 gems but 429 were lost because I haven't been purchasing the jar. I HATE when games do this! You should never have to buy what was earned! Ive noticed a lot of developers have been doing this lately. I understand that you need money to develop, run, etc but there needs to be another way besides charging us for gems that we’ve clearly earned! I have a ton of friends that love competitive games and we’ve played together for over 5 years at a time in various games to make the world wide record list of the top 100 teams. However, once we noticed that we have to pay for things that were earned, a lot of players dropped out very quickly!A game should be fun, not stressful. PLEASE come up with a better way to sell gems without charging for a jar of gems that we’ve earned.

Hi my name is Taylen and how much I love this game is so awesome I am on level nine and I can’t believe it it’s so awesome it’s like I deleted this game but why did I delete it I had like a lot games and I wanted to download another game but it didn’t let me so I had downed a game but I came back for it and I still remember all of my stuff that I worked for and I did all of that by myself I really enjoy playing this game and I don’t want to say it’s just like somebody in meters I just like to skis at school today

I love the concept of the game. But I would like to know why we have coins ,if we have to pay for everything with gems. We have to pay with our money from our pocketbooks to pay for these gems. I can continue playing if every day I have to pay for gems to cook my food and do anything else in the game. I knew you you have to make money but you show the ads. You cannot even get a chef without getting germs by paying for it. It was a fun game to begin with that’s why I gave you five stars. I did pay a little that I never pay anything for these games. But this Hass to stop or I’m gonna stop because I can’t I’m stuck.

Final update: support emailed me back and fixed my problem within the same day

Update: i went ahead and just signed in with facebook so i could get 10 gems to buy the bread. Still didn’t let me do anything. It just gets stuck at trying to get bread for the delivery truck. I emailed support and hopefully can get this resolved.

I was really enjoying this game but I’m stuck trying to level up. The game is forcing me to go to a “friends” place and fill their truck up. I’m missing bread and its saying i can use gems when I don’t have something for the truck. Problem is I don’t have enough gems and it doesn’t give me the option to get out of it. So i literally cannot level up to 8 and cannot continue to play the game.

I found this game and didn’t expect much, however I have been completely addicted to it for many months now, I’m a little ashamed to say lol. I am bed ridden most days due to a health condition and this game helps me get thru each day! I play it all day long every day. I have one tiny complaint ...Please please, when giving bonus items like those needed to upgrade barn, spaces in fields, expansions, etc. give us all the items proportionately so we don’t have to spend all our diamonds, which cost money for the amount needed. Otherwise, great job.. this game rocks. Oh and please add some more stuff... I’ve maxed out all my chefs, animals, everything. It’s much more fun when you are working to achieve something. Thanks again for helping to make my pain more manageable. You guys did an AWESOME JOB!!!

Isn’t having to serve a whopping 480 tables among other tasks a bit much just to get three emeralds to upgrade a chef?? PLEASE!!

New improved changes??? Not so fast...you have made some changes that keeps me from getting anything done. I cannot keep up with the feeding crops anymore. No sooner do I collect my crops of corn, wheat, and peas, I have to use them and replant them. Now I don’t have room in my garden for anything else and my barn is overloaded with products I need, but I have to delete them. Do you developers even play the game before you make these changes? Or is it easy for you because you know all the tips and tricks to play. I don’t know, but the people who are making you rich, should be the only ones you are listening too.

Can anyone tell me why it takes 28 hours to build a Chicken Coup? Building anything in this game is a boring long long time to completion. By the time it’s done, I’m so bored with the game, I quit playing for a long time, sometimes for good. Sometimes I download other games to fill in the boredom, and never return, which is exactly how I come to playing this game in the first place. Is it necessary to make building on this game take as long as building a real building?

I started playing this game yesterday and I’m truly obsessed!! The dynamics of the game is amazing. I love how you have the tasty dash, it’s like cooking fever but better, because you also have a restaurant part where you cook the food for the customers. I love how you have truck orders too, though I do wish that you didn’t have to wait so long until the truck comes back. But I truly truly love this game, it’s the best game, especially of the cooking criteria, that I’ve played in a long time!! Thank you for making such an amazing fun game!!!
