VitusVet Pet Medical Records Reviews

It is extremely frustrating to have spent hours setting up my account, loading profiles and per information, linking veterinary services used, requesting document uploads, etc, etc., only to be unable to access my account through VitusVetPetMedicalRecords! It is working up to a point, in that I can see I have a notification...but VitusVetPetMedicalRecords cannot proceed beyond “searching for account” as it hangs! The paws continue to spin, but there is nothing happening in the background short of working in a loop.

Many users have complained about VitusVetPetMedicalRecords hanging in various processes during use and MANY of us don’t even get the chance to use it a second time!! And it doesn’t appear to be addresses, let alone resolved, in any of the recent updates. WHEN will you fix this problem?!

VitusVetPetMedicalRecords has made the process of submitting claims to our pet insurance extremely easy. But there is no feedback loop in the actual app or website to know the status of your claims or see them after they’ve been submitted.

The majority of VitusVetPetMedicalRecords is designed around keeping track of your pets records, but the process for getting the records from the vet and into the system has been extremely frustrating. I have explained to their customer service that my vet has sent the records multiple times but under my wife name. I have provided her name and yet they have not attached the records. Instead they keep calling my vet who is getting frustrated at this point. We even changed the records to include my name on them twice but it hasn’t helped. Responses from the customer service takes sometimes months.

VitusVetPetMedicalRecords and vet medical records system has so much potential, but the poor customer service is going to have me moving on to submitting claims directly if it isn’t improved.

VitusVetPetMedicalRecords makes submitting a Nationwide pet insurance claim a breeze, and is very well designed. 👍🏻 I don't use the other features really so I can't comment on those.

My one concern is that when I submitted my last claim, Nationwide ended up processing it incorrectly because they misread the date of the visit. When I called to fix the issue, they said the 8 looked like a 6 because the whole thing was a little blurry. Since the picture that I uploaded still looks perfectly clear in my phone's photos, I have to think that VitusVet compressed the image to save space.

While I can understand preferring a smaller file size, I recommend either removing that "feature" or toning it down, as this whole thing won't work if the invoice can't be read clearly by Nationwide, and I'll have to go back to scanning printed out claim forms. 😕

So glad Nationwide finally has an app! They are a great pet insurance but kept getting downrated in reviews for not having an app to submit claims! Submitting them wasn't that bad but it is way easier this way and so you get reimbursed just a bit quicker. And it is really nice having all your vet info on your phone at your fingertips. It was so nice when my dog was sick, threw up all night, I was able to use VitusVetPetMedicalRecords to locate the closest 24 hour vet! That was very comforting. I suggest for one pet households to default the one pet... and a few other minor things but otherwise it's very easy, intuitive, and great! Hope to see Nationwide come up in ratings now! Update after more use: My info didn’t seem to carry across phones (I have two on the same account). I’d also like to get claim status.

I used to dread submitting vet claims for my 9-year-old german shepherd who is at the vet almost monthly for a host of old-man problems. It's the little to-do's in life that can really add-up, and befor VitusVetPetMedicalRecords, when I needed to submit a claim, I would have to print a VPI claim forms, complete it, scan it with the invoice to save as a PDF on my computer, then email the file (always with the policy number in the subject line) to VPI for processing. It became one of those little tasks that I would avoid because of the hassle, and then one vet visit would turn into two... would turn into three... and eventually I had a pile of claims that I had avoided submitting for months.

VitusVetPetMedicalRecords changed all that. I select my vet, select the date of the visit, take a quick pic of the invoice that instantly uploads (it's seamless), enter the amount, and hit submit. It makes it so easy I could cry (with joy.) Anything that frees up my time gets my full support.

I don't think I've ever reviewed an app before, but I just submitted yet another claim with this little baby, and it took me all of 5 seconds. I figured that with the time I just saved I have a few extra minutes to give credit where credit is due!

I downloaded VitusVetPetMedicalRecords because my insurance (Nationwide) teamed up with Vitus Vet. They said it was to allow us to submit claims via VitusVetPetMedicalRecords instead of snail mail. Thank heavens for that! It is so easy. However, the second (and more important) reason I got VitusVetPetMedicalRecords is because our German Shepherd isn't allowed in our current apartment - so while I hold the policy, he actually stays with my immediate family, meaning I'm not always the one who takes him to the vet (he recently started having epileptic seizures). Anyway, VitusVetPetMedicalRecords is a lifesaver in that regard. Everyone who cares for our fur baby has VitusVetPetMedicalRecords , so we can all stay up-to-date on his recent vet visits, diagnoses, medications, etc. Thank you for helping me care for my fur baby from a distance!

I’ve had VitusVetPetMedicalRecords for 5 months now and totally love it! When I got my puppy, I had no idea we’d be frequent flyers at the vet’s office between all the puppy issues of eating things he shouldn’t. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I love that I can track his weight so I can see exactly how fast he’s growing, can scan in important documents like vaccination records and licenses, and the best thing is how easy it is to submit the reimbursement for Nationwide Pet Insurance! I just take a picture of the vet bill and boom, off it goes! Getting the reimbursement takes a long time- like 3- 4 weeks- but that’s on Nationwide, not VitusVetPetMedicalRecords . I loved being able to share my pet’s profile with my family and pet sitter’s so they have it all when I travel! Hands down, an awesome app! Now if I could just get my vet to sign up with them, my appointments would sync......🤞🏻

Awesome app for a couple of reasons: 1) I HATED submitting vet claims to VPI/Nationwide before because the process was archaic and it was a pain to find the email address for submitting that way. This is a breeze! 2) Any time I’ve needed vet records such as before boarding or doggy daycare I had to call and have them faxed to me but now I just have them saved in VitusVetPetMedicalRecords! 3) VitusVetPetMedicalRecords will even contact your vet and request they upload the records for you.

The only downside (and not VitusVet’s fault) is that I don’t think a bunch of vets automatically communicate with VitusVetPetMedicalRecords yet to upload records. I go to a very large vet near downtown Charlotte, NC and they haven’t submitted my dogs records or accepted using VitusVetPetMedicalRecords yet as far as I can tell. I assume if this large vet serving a major metro area doesn’t do it then many others likely don’t either.

I’ve only had VitusVetPetMedicalRecords for a short time but it’s already so great! As a busy working parent to both a human and a pup, the days zoom by and I’d often find that I would forget to make that checkup appointment, vaccination update, dental cleaning, etc. during normal hours. The evening would arrive and I’d kick myself that I’d somehow forgotten all day...again. VitusVetPetMedicalRecords makes it so easy to request an appointment with our vet’s office no matter what time of day it comes to mind. And having my dog’s records all there so easily is wonderful too!! The place we board our dog requires current vaccination records so this will come in super handy for that too! Just a real time saver and efficiency gain all around!!

Our eight-month old golden retriever has been to the vet nearly every two weeks since he came home to us (at two months old). The process of sending claims into Nationwide (his pet insurance carrier) is less than convenient, requiring a day in the office to scan all of the receipts and forms (when I travel and/or work remote quite often). VitusVetPetMedicalRecords has been amazing to track our pup’s health records and submit claims by taking a quick photo - absolutely amazing! The speediness of submitting the claims has led to faster returns on our claims (and when you have a dog visit the vet as often as ours, this is certainly important)! Thank you so very much!

I use VitusVet for claim submissions for my Nationwide Pet Insurance. Before VitusVet I had to manually fill out a claim form and fax which involved driving back and forth, having my dog’s vet fax the claim. Now all I do is upload the PDF and all of the information (vet location, my contact info, policy number, etc) is already saved info so I don’t have to look through my files to fill information out every time. The ease and speed of using the VitusVet app has drastically improved my experience as having a sick pet is enough stress. I’m thankful for how simple the process is now. I would recommend this tool to anyone I know!

Can’t remember how I stumbled upon VitusVetPetMedicalRecords but I have Nationaide Insurance and they may have mentioned this but not sure.
I just wanna say VitusVetPetMedicalRecords has been very very useful in submitting my claims for my fur baby(cat of 14.5 yrs) who has been slowly declining but has made it possible to easily get reimbursed in which I’m able to use it to get her pain medication each time. My poor kitty is hanging in there. Though this has been very emotional for me, using VitusVetPetMedicalRecords has given me piece of mind knowing I can provide comfort to her during such a difficult time. Thanks for all you do for our fur babies for they mean so much to us.

App is easy to use and navigate. Absolutely appreciate that you can electronically submit claims through VitusVetPetMedicalRecords . With my prior pet insurance, claims had to be submitted by paper, which was a hassle, printing the claim forms, filling them out, buying stamps, ugh! I would highly recommend anyone and everyone who has Nationwide Pet insurance to download and use VitusVetPetMedicalRecords. I can make appointments, view medical records, refill medications. I have two dogs that I have put on VitusVetPetMedicalRecords and it’s so nice to be able to differentiate the two without having to sort and file actual paperwork. Can’t say enough great things about VitusVetPetMedicalRecords!

I have been using VitusVetPetMedicalRecords for several months and simply love it. I have several pets and it keeps all their health information in separate profiles with pictures of them. Information can be shared with family,vets,dog groomers walkers etc. I can request refills on each pets medication make appointments. Everything I need for my continued care of my babies is at my fingertips. It keeps record of all medications,procedures,X-rays,lab work and alerts me to any upcoming vaccinations or tests that need to be done. Highly recommend for any pet owners. Also helpful in submitting claims to insurance if you have it. Thank you so much for this handy app.

I have the paper records of my dog, but having VitusVetPetMedicalRecords on a phone which I always have with me is wonderful. If something were to happen (god forbid) and he had to go in for an emergency, you have your records with you always because everyone has their phones with them. Everything is user friendly and it’s a great way to be able to send out the records to whoever may need them (boarding places, other vets etc) the only downside is if you go to a vet that doesn’t use the service and then you have gaps because they can’t implement the newest data. That’s the problem I run into most often.

I am very loyal to our veterinarian! Since Covid came things have changed. I do not like handing my fur baby to an assistant for vet. Yes I trust them completely. I do feel it traumatized the
fur baby. I had heard of them through a family member. Not only was I very impressed. On so many levels. The care was so companionate.
I will use them again. Price was reasonable. Same as a vet visit. No rush. They were on time.
I was able to communicate with team with a phone call. VitusVetPetMedicalRecords is great. One does need to make an appointment ahead of time.

I can’t thank the developers and creators of VitusVetPetMedicalRecords enough. You saved my cats life. I recently had to find a vet and call poison control at 2am in the morning for my cat. During this emergency I was able to find a local vet to drive to, call them to alert them, got directions, and on the drive over opened up a case with nationwide’s vet helpline so that i would have a case # ready to go for the vet when i walked in the door. All of this was done on your app with amazing ease. Your integration with nationwide insurance is amazing and gave the vet all the information they needed right away. Thank you!!!

I’ve had VitusVetPetMedicalRecords for about six months and it has been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. I have several pets, each with their own health issues. Each of my pet’s records are stored separately in VitusVetPetMedicalRecords including Lab Records and results, specialist visits, surgical procedures, vaccine records, prescriptions , etc. All this can be shared with Family members, other pet care professionals (groomers, kennels, daycare facilities, training facilities, etc).
No more carrying around folders of paperwork for each pet. App stores microchip number for each pet, tattoo numbers, registration numbers for different dog sport venues and the notes section be used to store other important info, ie type food(s) fed, medication schedule, grooming schedule, or even appointments scheduled for future visits. VitusVetPetMedicalRecords keeps everything in one place and directly at your fingertips!

The VitusVet app saves me so much time in submitting claims for my 10-year old dachshund. I don’t own a printer, so I would have to remember to take the invoice to the grocery store to photocopy. Then I would have to find a blank claim form to fill out. In the past, a blank claim form would be included with the reimbursement check; but in the last 6 months or so, no blank claim form was sent. Without a printer, I was unable to print a claim form off the website.
Now, I just have to take a photo of the invoice and discharge notes and submit them. The new process eliminates my procrastination in submitting claims.
I can’t say the payment arrives any quicker, but the claims submission process is so much more efficient and convenient! Thank you to my vets for availing their clients of this service, and thank you to VitusVet for making VitusVetPetMedicalRecords a valuable tool for both vets and their clients!

VitusVetPetMedicalRecords is straight and to the point. No frills. That’s exactly what you want when you want to worry about your pet and not submitting a claim. Taking a picture and uploading is easy.
Only issue is the vets you can pick to be your home / main vet. Mine always opens to an emergency vet I don’t often use instead of the vet I always use. I also wasn’t able to get the records yet.
Hoping my vet or whatever / whomever gets with the program so I can have all of the info in one place.
Otherwise , just easy peasy and simple to use. Makes your focus on your pets health.
