ChinaTrainBooking created enormous problems for my trip. The interface is very difficult to use. I tried to cancel a train, but it sent me to a 404 error… Making it impossible to know whether the train was canceled until I tried to book another train.

It was impossible to book the other train because they thought I still had a ticket on this train… Except I couldn’t access this ticket either. A travel nightmare.

Bookings are made incorrectly, app is buggy (calendar displays incorrectly, seats available display doesn’t work well, other pieces of information display incorrectly or not at all). When needed, service can’t be reached. Due to all of these issues, I have had business trips derailed and now just buy tickets in advance at a ticket window as the bugs/mistakes/crap service with ChinaTrainBooking isn’t worth it. Had used in the past, will no longer use. *Update- new experience- I’ve just once again tried to use ChinaTrainBooking to book a trip after my prior negative experience. When I arrived at the station to pick up my ticket, there was no booking. And I have not yet been refunded the cost of the ticket and the service fee. TOTAL FRAUD!

I tried buying my train tickets on another app, but ChinaTrainBooking made me wait until 3 days prior to my trip to make the purchase. Because of my travel schedule, I couldn’t wait that long. I decided to try ChinaTrainBooking, and I’m so glad. I was able to order them immediately. I could communicate directly with them on WeChat, and they had my tickets issued within 4 hours. Then they delivered them to me by courier 2500km away within 2 days!!! They followed up with me too. This service costs a little more, but is well worth it! I will definitely be using ChinaTrainBooking again!!! And I appreciate the excellent customer service that was provided!

When I misread ChinaTrainBooking information and bought the wrong ticket (I didn’t realize there were 2 train stations in Shanghai), Carrie from customer service called me to follow up with me to ensure me and my family could make our connection. ChinaTrainBooking is very useful especially if you’re taking a long trip!

Can’t say enough worked like a charm even made a booking mistake and was very easy over wechat to get it corrected. Will definitely make this my go to for booking rail services.

Not only did they notify me of train cancellations due to typhoons, they also rebooked for next day by grabbing last two tickets. Communication is perfect and fast. Thank you. You make buying tickets so easy.

Using ChinaTrainBooking and picking up tickets could not have been easier. Communicating in China can be very difficult, but ChinaTrainBooking provided us with all we needed to get our tickets and also explained everything about boarding the train so well.

You do pay a 5 USD surcharge per ticket, which can seem kinda pricey, but I’ve found that it’s worth it for the peace of mind. ChinaTrainBooking is excellent for checking train times and every time that I’ve booked with them I haven’t had a problem picking up tickets.

everyone who travels in china should use ChinaTrainBooking, you can book the seat you want the train you want so quick and easy , i had a great rep named carrie who helped me when i wanted to change my ticket very close to the train time and she was able to easily help and make it easy for me ! great app and great service.

When I first moved to China it was hard, buying food was hard, getting a taxi was hard and altogether transportation was difficult to comprehend. Just like other foreigners I had to rely on a chinese friend or a local to help me book a train ticket all the time and I sometimes felt like a burden. Luckily , I came across ChinaTrainBooking on the apple store and it changed everything for me. Now everything is in English and it’s so easy to navigate. The customer service is beyond amazing! Great English speakers. I highly recommend ChinaTrainBooking to any foreigners or even mainlanders that prefer a more simpler way to book train tickets.

I had a customer service representative by the name of Virginia assist me. It was a last minute change, I was on my way back to the US, however I had to take a train to Shanghai and I had so many pieces of luggage so I wanted to upgrade to 1st class and she was able to cancel my existing ticket get it refunded and make sure my new booking was in place. I was relieved and felt very confident about my service. Thank you!

So easily to book train tickets, so fast delivery, you don’t need to go to wait in a so crowded line for your ticket, just simply enjoy in your cozy home and tickets come by themselves. If you have any questions, just send message on a wechat they answer faster than you send message. This is my go-to app for booking trains in China, there is occasionally a little lag when booking (someone actually has to process it) but the upside is that when there is an issue or a change needs to be made, the staff is super responsive and helpful. There are apps that book trains directly with the provider, but for those who cannot speak/ read Chinese or might need a bit of extra guidance, this company is great.

After trying to translate all the other apps and website, I was told by a friend that I should try ChinaTrainBooking! I’m glad I listened to her because I love it! It’s in all English and they don’t try and charge a ton more like others. Very straightforward and user friendly interface makes me love it even more. I had questions about my upcoming tickets being delivered to me and the wonderful Virginia helped me with all of my questions and concerns! Because of her I feel like I will be using ChinaTrainBooking every time I need to travel by train in China!

I was very nervous about booking train tickets in China but everything worked out perfectly! Our tickets were purchased and waiting for us when we checked in at the hotel. On the morning of our trip Ricco came to our hotel and accompanied us throughout the boarding process. At our destination Lily met us and took us to our hotel in Xi’an. Lily didn’t leave us until we were all checked in. She even gave us her number in case we needed help with translation later. I highly recommend using this service!
