Great App, Occasionally Annoying Userbase

As far as timely fantasy alerts go, FantasyLife is king. I honestly think it gives me an advantage over my competitors that don’t use it. The user interface can be a bit glitchy when it comes to posting, and if someone comments / replies to one of your props, good luck going back and finding that buried somewhere in a post with 300 comments. Idk why that element is so wonky.

I write this review at a time when COVID-19 is currently ripping through the NFL and knocking players out. Needless to say, alerts with that kind of news being out some rather unsavory people with their ignorant commentary regarding vaccines. If it’s not that kind of banter clogging up the comments, it’s 15 different gifs of womens cleavage bouncing around.

I’m not offended by these things, I just wish the Fantasy Life team put a little more effort into keeping the comments on topic for those of us who just want to have a decent conversation about who to start it sit this week.

Great for alerts and discussion

The alerts are second to none. Love how all the I do comes straight to one app before most hear about the news. Really good stuff! Also a fun little environment to discuss fantasy football strategy with people who are also ridiculously passionate about the journey to the championship. If you are passionate about fantasy football you need this up. I give FantasyLife 5/5 no questions even though they have a lot of room to improve and will likely become far more functional and nuanced. Thanks for doing this work!

SUGGESTIONS:

Put a place to support FantasyLife or pay by donation.

Please create a night mode where the background is black.

For posts/shouts give option to select your league and team bio so you can easily show the community what your team is and the general factors that are crucial to fantasy advice/discussion.

For example, right now you have you type out every time “14 team league, .5 PPR, waiver position/Faab + whatever details in your league”

People don’t add enough information on a whole to make answering the questions more situationally specific. I think people would more likely get on board with posting the info if you made options that directed people to select descriptions.

Update: Great App!!

I was surprisingly into FantasyLife for a few days after I downloaded it. I posted a few times in one of the chat boards and received quick, friendly, informed advice. However, after the latest update that fixed the ‘double post’ issue, I can now no longer enter any chat rooms (which means I can neither post or read any chats). FantasyLife also constantly auto-switches my view to the ‘notifications’ tab without me even touching the screen. Great app idea, but thus far somewhat mediocre execution. I really want to give FantasyLife a 5 star rating, but find it difficult in its current state. I’ll happily update my rating if it becomes useable again! P.S. - Also listen to the FFF podcast religiously and love it!

Update: I just deleted and redownloaded FantasyLife and it now works! Updating to 5 stars!

The Greatest of All Time

FantasyLife is awesome. This year I heard a lot of the new up and coming Fantasy Gurus throwing shade at ESPN/Fantasy life pros. It’s disappointing to see/hear. WE should all be lifting one another up. The Fantasy Football community is special. We are stronger together! That being said, FantasyLife is my ride or die. I’ve had a few different apps and sites I’ve used for intel. But all are 2nd to Fantasy Life app. My favorite Avengers End Game actor, Matthew Berry, is a Golden God. Seriously, Matt is the man. Not only great at Fantasy advice but a really good human being. Daniel, StarPhania, Yates and even Mike Clay are a phenomenal team. Lead by Captain Berry. Thanks for what you guys do and thanks for this awesome app. I’m a Champion and couldn’t have done it WITHOUT FantasyLife. #RealTalk
Thanks again. Happy Holidays.
(Now I’ll go cry cause the seasons over😭)

Shout out to the app that invented shouts!

I downloaded FantasyLife a while ago and didn’t use it much. I’ve been in the same non ppr league for 8 years now and have always prided myself and keeping up with player news, breakout candidates, and back ups for injured players. I don’t have the same free time I used to and in 5 min on FantasyLife I can see all the trending new waiver trends, I can write a shout and get feedback on who to start or if a chance is worth it. Even without followers I still get great response. This year I started off 0-3 and decided to use FantasyLife for all my decisions. I’ve gone 6-1 since then and am tied for first place. Thank fantasy life for the Berry good advice.

Reliable for Open Opinions

Definitely a good resource tool when looking for open opinions about handling your fantasy football team. Bug reporting/support contact is available within FantasyLife and unbelievably fast responses. Of course, when you're looking for anyones opinion and your friend is getting annoyed by all your questions, this is a good alternative. Community is friendly and maintains good sportsmanship, no matter how much knowledge on fantasy football or football stats in general. If you don't know certain stats, trust me theres someone who can fill you in or chime in on any outlook.

Gave 4 stars just because FantasyLife is almost perfected, ongoing updates and communication with support (devs?) is very clear and up to date within FantasyLife itself.
When perfected or down to minimal updates, FantasyLife is definitely is worthy of 5 stars.

Best Fantasy App Out There!!!

I NEVER do app reviews but I had to do one for FantasyLife. It is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to be able to connect with others to talk about fantasy without trolls everywhere or someone wanting to argue just to argue. If someone disagrees they have almost always have facts to back up their argument. The community is full of people who genuinely care about and enjoy fantasy sports. Plus, I get notified of status changes 10 minutes before my friends on bigger apps. FantasyLife keeps me one step ahead of the game for fantasy, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about winning their league this year or just wanting to talk sports with other people!!

Leaguemates have no clue how I get breaking news so fast

Do I get a bunch of notifications that I don’t REALLY need? Sure. But the quality:quantity ratio is very good and I’m very impressed that I can get a notification within a minute of it being tweeted. Then 10-15 minutes later I’ll get the ESPN notification and that’s what most of my league has. Gives you a nice head start on the very important notifications.
Also allows you to post polls for start/sit or trade questions, and make sure you’re not crazy for considering making a trade.
For a free app, it has brought me a ton of value and I definitely do not want the rest of my league to find out about it.

Best Fantasy App

Whether you are trying to figure out who to start or sit, who to drop or pick up, or the latest injury and trade news even during every game- this is FantasyLife for you! this has helped me so much and getting to interact with other members is great also because you can ask for their advice or you can answer their questions. I always find out the biggest news in fantasy football here first and I love having that leg up on other people in my leagues. Please download and turn on the notifications for FantasyLife- if you’re in a fantasy league you won’t regret it! I stunned people yesterday with how i got my information so early before the 4pm deadline. I love FantasyLife!

THE app for fantasy football & sports

I’m one of those people that doesn’t typically leave a review, but I feel that it’s necessary here. I haven’t had FantasyLife for that long, but I have been nothing but happy and surprised with it so far! Since the download, I have received every single breaking news faster than my other fantasy football apps (Bleacher Report, ESPN News, etc.). Anywhere from 1 minute to 15+ minutes, FantasyLife has the fastest breaking news and helps me make moves for my team before anyone else!

I also love the community so far in FantasyLife. The conversations are educational and fun to participate in! In my opinion, everyone that loves sports will benefit from FantasyLife in some way.

Best App for Fantasy Football

Hands down this is the best app available for Fantasy Football tips and I’m going to tell you why. FantasyLife gives real time updates at light speed, 10x quicker than ESPN so you can stay ahead on the sneaky pickups that just might give you the edge in your next matchup. Also, FantasyLife has forums where you can chat amongst fellow comrades of the Fantasy Football life. They makes you feel like you are never alone whether it be getting advice from the hundreds of users or getting support from people going through the same tough times with their roster. The people that use FantasyLife are truly some of my best friends.

This app saved me

I won’t use Twitter (I have my reasons), but that always made me feel at a disadvantage in fantasy football because many of my league mates got the info before me. Now I’ve flipped the script on them, it is absolutely incredible how fast I get alerts now. And what I love is that it’s dedicated solely to fantasy football, don’t have to deal with the rest of the social media BS. Listen. Get FantasyLife for the alerts, it’s well worth it. You can ignore the posts and props and comments if you like, but take it from “anti social media guy”, you’ll be joining the community and posting comments before you know. I certainly do! Thank you Fantasy Life App, you saved me.

My favorite fantasy app hands down.

Soon as I heard about this new App developed by Matthew Berry I follow weekly on ESPN I had to check it out. First thing I started noticing was they were giving me news and injury reports quicker then my other sources. If you are a true FF head you know how important this can be. On top of that the board is really quick and easy to post questions on advice for flex decisions, etc. I love the click and vote player vs player windows to get an idea on what the majority of other players are thinking. I could write more good things but I’ll keep it short. If you like Fantasy sports. Then you want FantasyLife. 👍🏻

It is what it is

FantasyLife itself is great! I love the advice and updates and trolling the comments haha. My only disappointment is with the fantasy life website. The website itself is slow running but the gear is cool so I decided to place an order after reading ohh awesome speedy service right... uhh wrong! I’ve ordered stuff on eBay that was sent from China that came sooner! It has now been weekS since I placed my order and my package hasn’t even left the store smh. I even had to pay shipping!, and for what?!? So bottom line is I will definitely continue to be an active user of FantasyLife , but I don’t think I will be ordering anything from the store again, assuming I someday receive my order

Alert speed alone is worth 5 star rating.

You can do polls and ask advice if you’re in a bind. So that’s nice. But let’s say Antonio Brown signs with a team on Wednesday night. He’s a free agent in your leagues. A notification will pop up telling you the news before any other APP. Bam. You now have Antonio Brown for free in all your leagues, because no one else in your league has gotten the news.

It will let you know on game day if a player is limping to the sidelines within minutes of it happening.

Last year I got news that Carlos Hyde was traded. His backup (Chubb) was on my roster for free within minutes. Helped me win my league

Finally fixed the bugs!

I had previously left a terrible review for FantasyLife, the developers listened, fixed it, and now it’s better than ever. A great place to talk fantasy with other likeminded people. Obviously it’s all opinions but it’s always good to hear another’s take on on what’s going on in the world of fantasy sports. You can take polls, ask general questions, or scroll through the previous posts to see what other people are thinking. I’ve received more injury updates from FantasyLife than the ESPN fantasy app itself. Glad to see it’s back running the way it should be.

They keep ruining the app....read this:

Why did they disable landscape mode in the latest update?
As an iPad user, I hate using it portrait style. I can’t use my stand. And why did they change the default splash page? I don’t care about baseball. I’m only on FantasyLife for fantasy football. It used to open to only my last visited area. Now it opens up to all sports and you have to navigate back to football every time. So annoying. The little changes they have made seem to not take into account many users desires and needs. It’s not like these are edge cases. I’m sure a good deal of of people have the same gripes, but only 1% of us actually take the time to write up a review for feedback. I’ll be back using FantasyLife just as soon as they fix all these dumb issues. For now, it’s borderline unusable for me. So disappointed.

Not working on iPhone- Update working now

App was working perfectly fine until I updated it 4 days ago and now I can’t vote, it says error occurred. I can’t see any comments, it shows there are comments but when I touch to read all is blank. The update today didn’t fix it, please help.

Update: emailed the support team, and they responded immediately and brainstormed via email until it was fixed. The support team was quick to respond, committed, and dedicated to resolving the issue. Thank you Stacy, and thanks Fantasy life app.... I love FantasyLife. Five star app!!!!

Best App For Fantasy Football

The community of FantasyLife is fantastic! You can post about your team, who you should start/sit, trade advice, etc and the community jumps in to help your team out. There’s also chat groups of all different categories to help you out with your team or discuss your favorite band. FantasyLife developers really listen to their users and make sure they get updates and bugs fixed quickly. Last but not least, FantasyLife breaks news faster than any app out there, giving you the advantage to make that important drop/add!

Great app with few bugs

I love FantasyLife! It has many redeeming qualities, such as being able to openly state opinions and get useful opinions from other members of the fantasy community. The only reason I’m giving four stars is for the looming bugs with FantasyLife , such as comments getting cut off for being to long. My favorite thing about FantasyLife is it’s speed when updating news about fantasy relevant players. They have the news out before ESPN, NFL Mobile, Yahoo!, and BleacherReport. Also, on top of that, it is usually more accurate than any of those sources. Love FantasyLife and can’t wait for more bug fixes and additions!

Real MVPs of my fantasy teams

I LOVE FantasyLife for 3 main reasons (and you will, too):

1) Alerts: FantasyLife admin team is on the pulse of the league. You get updates from all the best writers and you WILL be the fastest to the waiver wire (I just beat out everyone in two leagues for Chubb after the Hyde trade). You’ll know about injury updates in crucial-timing scenarios. This works better than having Twitter notifications in for a million writers and it’s faster than ESPN or NFL App notifications.

2) Weekly Reports/Breakdowns: They post route running breakdowns, snap count breakdowns, target share breakdowns, WR/CB matchup breakdowns, scoring odds breakdowns, red zone usage breakdowns, multiple injury reports per week, weather updates and implications, and more. It’s all in simple formats and easy to use. Seriously next-level stuff in a very consumable format.

3) An active, positive community: While I don’t expect everyone on FantasyLife to be the smartest fantasy football minds, they all care enough to have FantasyLife. When I need a gut check on how I’m feeling about a trade or want to see if I’m crazy for wanting to start somebody, I can put up a poll or a post and in minutes I’ll have 20-30 votes or several written responses from other fantasy football fans.

Enjoy!

Best Fantasy App in the App Store

This is the greatest fantasy app because it brings the community together to help each other. Numerous times I have wanted to get someone’s advice on who to start, or a add/drop etc. and the only people in my life who know about fantasy football are IN MY LEAGUE. So why would they give me advice on how to beat them. With the fantasy life app this takes all of that out of the equation because it’s just peers helping peers with no ties to the outcome. It also takes the pressure off the “experts” like Matthew and Field who are bombarded day after day with hundreds of fantasy questions. Sure Field really knows his stuff, but Anyone on FantasyLife has just as much knowledge as Matthew 😜. I’ve been wishing for an app like this for years and I’m glad it was finally made.
