Support, on the surface, seems to be a very useful app. I have found answers to many (not all) questions. It also allows the user to communicate with Sony Tech this app. However, one of the methods Support offers to do so does not work. That method is to fill out a short form and submit it. After which, Tech this app will call you back. But, that form is flawed. When I submit the form I get an error message stating my email address needs to be “entered in the correct format”. Well, there is only one format that I’m aware of and I’m using the same email address I have used for the past 15 years. So, Support needs work.

Lots of potential

This basically kicks out what you’d find online if you search your Sony product’s serial number.

The only difference was when I was online I had the ability to initiate a chat session which lasted five minutes. And that’s including the rebirth or repair of my new Sony product. They taught me how to reset it to its factory defaults, had me power it off and then restart it.

BINGO!!
BAM!!
DONE!!
It works like a charm now, which it should.

Because it’s a brand new product, I know I set it up correctly and finally it wasn't like it was inexpensive.

High-End Sony Products Can Cost Quite A Bit.

Support is a delusion. It implies it can help you troubleshoot issues with Sony products. My experience with my Sony DSC-RX10M4 camera is that Support is completely useless for troubleshooting. And the robot chat feature is simply irritating... beyond useless. What happened to talking to a human being that actually knows how to troubleshoot products??? Sony... wake up: Support does not get the job done.

I spent several seconds entering all my personal information, click chat button. The page clears all the fields on the page & doesn’t report any errors. Repeated several times, including after restarting app, with same results. Internet connection is very good & all my other apps have good connectivity. Also Verified I’m using the latest app.

Love Support so much, however, there is a key flaw in how it works. When you are trying to do live chat this app, there is no way to tap in the chat box at the bottom to start typing on newer (non home button full screen) phones. It’s too far down and can not be tapped to activate.

On iPhone 11Pro there is no way to enter any text in a this app chat. Very useful and helps to resolve all the issues extremely fast. Thank you Sony for constantly rebooting at random expensive TV’s and useless this app app. Amount of responses from Sony on negative reviews shows how Sony cares.

Instead of going through page after page after page to not find anything near what I asked about. App is worthless for anything but the obvious.

Nothing special here. It’s just a replay of the website. They didn’t even bother to allow landscape on the iPad version, and it’s 2021. Pretty lazy implementation.

After a few days the My Devices and Notifications have no displayed items.

On newer iPhones you can’t even send messages to reply and cannot access this app online will not be purchasing more Sony products in the future would rather sit in a queue all day then be constantly denied this app.

I haven’t found anything here that isn’t on the website. Both or which are lacking.

The Sony platforms are weak, they continually ask for you to register your device both on line and in APP. I even printed out the confirmations of the SONY e-mails thanking me for registering my products. Surprising it is so bad. Great Tv

I have a update already applied on my headphone . It can’t read my headphone and keep quite. The notification asks me to go and check manually. It should be automatic. SONY are you listening. If you are please update Support .

I thought I’d be able to live chat thru Support for the Sony products that I own. Instead when I tried to click on live chat, nothing happens. 🤢

This is a great resource to have for Sony product owners. Support couldn't be easier to use starting with the menu design in which users can search for information on a product by selecting a product category or by entering in the model number. Once you have come upon your product you will see a listing of information to select. You will come upon news, alerts, downloads and pretty much any listed information regarding the specific product. Support makes it easy for quick search allowing you to add a product to favorites or just all searches showing up in your history. Users can also go to the Sony this app website directly from Support . Whether you are a PlayStation, Bravia or owner of one or many Sony devices Support is worth a download and may prove to make any troubleshooting experiences easier in the future.

It freeze when trying to create account

Failed to address even simple questions concerning PS5 availability.

Passed just 1 year, my ultra expansive tv has broken... and to fix it they want MORE THAN A NEW ONE!!!! How can it be true!? Ah! I’m going in Brazil that why they do it with costumers...
