Bought long time ago with no Ads

The calculator does what it supposed to do...... I bought TouchRPNcalc long time ago and it did not have Ads at all. Couple of years ago started to see ads and now it’s just annoying. From what I gather you need premium app that was not available when I purchased to eliminate ads. I should have been grandfathered in with no apps from my original purchase. To me it’s bait and switch.

Best RPN calculator-Problems with Apple XR

I love this 12C calculator app. It functions exactly like my handheld HP 12C. However in upgrading my phone from an iPhone 6 to an XR, TouchRPNcalc locks up the phone.
The calculator works fine but it will not close and without a Home button I cannot get back to the main screen and have to reboot the device to exit.
Am I doing something wrong here? I can’t use it otherwise which would be a shame.

Great calculator however can’t figure out how to remove ads will gladly pay.

Started seeing ads, can’t figure out how to remove them. It is likely there is some paid version I could get to remove the ads, I just can’t find it. Likely my incompetence. However, will have to move on to another calculator. Update: Turns out I have the paid version however had accidentally selected the ad version. Developer had me press the ‘On’ button to pick my version I am now less incompetent.

Good but ...

As the owner of a real HP 11C, it’s nice. But a couple of nits:

The program does not accept input from a Bluetooth Keyboard. I’m not looking for magic here, but it should accept numerics, Period, Enter, Delete, up/down (roll the stack), +-x/. Maybe also C (CHS) and E (EEX), and CMD-Delete (clear stack)

Why if one is has paid for the Premium Scientific calc one does not have access to the basic version?

Ads again

After I got my iPhone 8 replaced, the ads in TouchRPNcalc appeared again and I can’t get rid of them. I have purchased the scientific premium version and really hate dealing with these ads, especially when I have to dismiss full screen ads before I can get some work done!

Can’t have multiple calls open

I had the 11, 15 and 16. Opened one today and was told it was being “sunset” and I should get this one instead.

Once I opened my old ones, the new app worked fine with no ads. It it has one huge disadvantage. I use to keep the 16 and the 11 open at the same time. Now I have to switch modes. That is NOT an improvement.

30-Aug-23 - „User“ Mode Matrix Bug Report

30-Aug-23 – Acknowledge that Touch Fin fixed the error that I found 23-Jul-23.

I am the V Brunton mentioned in the current write-up.

The error: Not capturing and storing status of „user“ mode in PRGM mode. Appears to be fixed.

The only error is in the description of the fix: Text from the write up states that this new instruction applies to STO (I) and RCL (I). To be correct, what was meant was STO (i) and RCL (i), the lower-case i indicating an indirect register (this case, matrix) while the upper case I indicates data going into or out of the index register itself.

From what I can tell, the instructions work correctly, just the description has a small error.

Kudos for fixing this annoying bug.

Paid for no ads now getting ads.

Love TouchRPNcalc , but paid for the no ad version years ago and am now getting annoying ads. What is up??? Turns out there is a way to essentially restore the purchase Go to the Settings panel (key ON, then 'Settings' at top right corner) and then touch "Restore purchases".

Great app. Worth paying for

I originally downloaded the free app.
I upgraded to the Palladium version for $5 and it didn’t work.
It started working and it’s fantastic
I think I did something wrong.
It’s worth paying for the ad free version and for it to display vertically as well.

The only choice if you want 16C emulation

I love being able to easily switch between 12C, 11C, and 16C Voyager emulation. The UI is first-rate and I’ve had no problems with the accuracy of the operation or results.

iOS asks for my Apple ID login when I launch app

iOS asks for my Apple ID login each time I launch app. Don’t know if this is triggered by app or a quirk in iOS.

Solid app otherwise. I highly recommend it if you’re nostalgic for the halcyon days of HP calculators.

Where’s the paste?

I love TouchRPNcalc, and bought two versions. I love the fact that the scientific version allows both RPN and ALG. Any chance that feature could be brought to the Financial versions. Switching back and forth all day can be confusing at times and I don’t have the luxury of using only one calculator.

Second question (feature request?). I love the ability to copy to the clipboard and use it fairly often. But even more often I would like to paste from another app INTO the touch calculator. Is that possible? Have I missed this feature?

Hate the ads

I would be willing to pay to have the ads removed, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to purchase the paid version.

Update: prompt developer response, much appreciated. Perhaps that could be made more obvious in TouchRPNcalc .

Paid and still seeing ads.

Why bother paying if your still going to have ads? Update....... you have to change to paid in settings.

Quality product!

I have spent quite a bit of time with the software engineering calculator, the 16i. I have discovered ZERO problems to date, BUT of course, as a software engineer, I have to admit that guarantees ZERO.

So far, it appears to be an excellent, quality product. I'm glad to know the HP-16C lives on.

Versatile RPN Calculator — Well Designed

This is a well-designed, smoothly functioning, RPN calculator. I have not done a thorough test on accuracy but it appears to be accurate. Because the calculator is free, unobtrusive ads run in the upper right hand corner. Even the ads are well designed to be visible but not in the way. The designer has a flair.

Great Apps! Small improvement for quick card...

I love these Apps! I got the premium 15c/16c & 12c w/Black-Scholes ones. The only minor concern is on the last one: it replaces the Bond functions with these other ones, but the quick reference card (simulating the back of the calculator) still shows Bond related functions there. It would be better to put some basic Black-Scholes references there. Thanks for all the work on the apps!

Works like the real thing

I have had the 16C flavor for a couple of years now and it works as well as my HP-16 C. I have pulled the batteries and put it in storage for my ancestors;)

Just purchased the 15C flavor and it seems to be working like the physical HP device per the HP-15C user manual information.

One exception is the memory allocation. It looks like the maximum program and register memory is available. The physical device has a trade off if you want the maximum program memory you need to decrease the available registers. Not a problem just a difference.

Like the Real Thing

I’ve been using TouchRPNcalc for years. Ever since my HP 12c died. It works exactly the same! I had a little glitch in that I was getting the wrong payment for a loan that I was entering. I contacted the developer and he answered right away. He asked if I had the future value set to zero. Somehow it had gotten changed and it was not zero. I set it back to zero and everything works perfectly again. Thanks for the quick response! I love TouchRPNcalc. (I must be happy with it, this is the only review I’ve written about an app so far.)

Needs update for iOS 13

Was my go to for a calculator but it does not display correctly on iOS 13. Is TouchRPNcalc still supported? I paid for it so I have to assume it will be fixed.

Update on previous review: Back to 5 stars after the iOS 13 fix. Thank you. 🤓
