My GPS Coordinates Reviews

Been using this for several years to determine GPS coordinates for cemetery headstones for my genealogy database. It is fast, convenient, and plenty accurate enough for my purposes. All I want and need are coordinates as text and this tool offers exactly that capture. The ads in the free version are tiny, unobtrusive, and barely noticeable. MyGPSCoordinates has never crashed or crashed my phone as a few others complain. I recommend it for anyone needing similar needs.

I need a way to quickly and easily evaluate the GPS reception quality where I am. For a while I couldn’t find any app to do this simple job (lots of apps will give you your location or map it or log waypoints and so on), but I found this one and it does exactly that.

So it gives a gps location but the accuracy is always within 16 feet or greater. I wanted to use this to find property lines but I would need accuracy within a few inches. What's even more disappointing is that my iPhone gps can find what corner of the room I'm in, in my house.

Clicked on MyGPSCoordinates to open it; but ended up having to hard shut down my phone. A pop-up appeared when it opened wanting permission to access my location; but I was unable to allow because the pop-up blinked on and off like a strobe light. I was unable to exit. Thank the maker my phone did shut off!

Just the good one for gps information and share it by all means: messages,mails,etc.

First responder. Use MyGPSCoordinates for helicopter landings. Been spot on great app has never been wrong used for about a year and half

I do get a kick out of those in need of a diaper when reviewing products. MyGPSCoordinates does exactly what it advertises. Thx for that. To the complainers...pampers are on sale this week!

Its nice to capture fishing spot location. I typically send the link to OneNote and take notes about the conditions:

I’m sorry I purchased MyGPSCoordinates. I needed this for surveys but it is useless. It is only accurate to 541 feet. $5.99 and it can’t get closer than two football fields. My 20 year old Magellan beats that by over 500 feet. I was ripped off. Can I get my money back?

Updates coords almost instantly, easy switch to decimal or DMS format, copies coords to clipboard.

App states the wrong accuracy if you’re trying to test your GPS accuracy to determine if you need a new antenna etc.

MyGPSCoordinates “GPS Status” in MyGPSCoordinates Store is better and more accurate.

It’s not very accurate. It gets you within a mile.

I tried using this gps multiple times at multiple locations and the closest it got a 13 foot accuracy!! Horrible.

Will not close disables home button and renders phone useless. Have to use computer to delete app. Dont say u were not warned

My gps shuts down if I receive a text message or email. If I get a message or whatever it just stops. If I don’t check it I lose my mileage and time.
2. Unless I shut down my phone I cannot turn off app.
Can you please help me with this?

Streaming ad !!! UNUSABLE !

I am a photographer and I use MyGPSCoordinates to capture the GPS coordinates of places I go to shoot pictures. I paste the coordinates into the metadata for each picture.

MyGPSCoordinates works perfectly. It is simple and easy to use. I have a few suggestions to make it even better.

1) It would be nice if you could set a default email address. This would save a little time in sending an email.
2) In the body of the email, I'd like to see a date/time stamp. I photograph in remote areas where there is no cell phone/internet service. It would be helpful in matching my pictures to the email if I know the time the email was created rather than the time it was sent or received.
3) I would be willing to pay for MyGPSCoordinates and avoid having advertising on the bottom.

Otherwise MyGPSCoordinates is very good and a useful tool for me. Thanks much!!!

When a family member or friend needs assistance, the second question that one usually asks is "where are you?", and generally they are not sure. MyGPSCoordinates solves the location problem. My 17 year old daughter recently had car trouble in a rough part of town and texted me her location with MyGPSCoordinates. The text she sent included the coordinates of where she was and a link to a map with a pointer showing her location. I was able to get there quickly.

Smart interface, intuitive layout and easy to access info. Used app for a project, and after plotting coordinates into ARCMap I can tell you the points were dead on (even though I was cited accuracy of 16ft, which is still amazing for a free app). Had to contact admin for datum info (it uses WGS 84, fyi). Their reply was immediate, very helpful, and even kind. I'm picky about what apps stay on my phone, but this one is a keeper!

It does exactly what it's name implies, tells you your gps coordinates. So I'm satisfied. The reason I took off one star is I feel there is borderline too many extra features. I thought it was strange another reviewer was actually complaining about lack of features, I mean it clearly states what it is (and isn't) in the description. Even the name is a good hint. Anyways, If your like me and simply wanted to know your current coordinates, it does that well.

Can be off up to 125 ft. Just tested this around my subdivision. Granted I was using google maps to check its accuracy, but it hasn’t asked me to swerve of corse by 125 ft. If you’re looking for an accurate way of finding your coordinates when you have WiFi, I’d say you’re better off just finding your coordinates using google maps.
