Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet Reviews

I used to use Mycelium on my old Galaxy and it worked great! No major problems or bugs. That is certainly not the case with their iOS wallet.

It is so incredibly buggy that I can’t open my transactions tab without MyceliumBitcoinWallet crashing completely. At this point, all I want to do is get my bitcoin away from Mycelium, but nothing seems to work. I backed up my wallet and tried importing it into numerous other wallets, but none of them have worked. I also tried sending my bitcoin to a different wallet. Unfortunately, only 1/5 of my balance appears to be eligible for sending. I’m sure it’s a bug, but it’s a pretty major oversight by a once-great bitcoin wallet.

At this point I just want to get my bitcoin and leave Mycelium for good. There are far better options nowadays. Use the iOS version at your own risk.

I got into bitcoin in 2011, and I've recommended this wallet to friends for 5+ years now. MyceliumBitcoinWallet follows good software philosophy: Do one thing well. It lets you send and receive bitcoin. No ID, no email, no password, just a simple, fast wallet. You can back it up in case you lose your phone, so your money is always safe.

Don't believe the bad reviews. This is the best bitcoin wallet for new users and power users alike. I've never seen it have a single bug or issue. I can't say the same of any other wallets. 5 Stars well earned.

Hi all,
As far as I can tell this is a great wallet and I have had no issues. I guess my one concern is that I have heard very little regarding the up-coming bitcoin hard forks expected later this month, and how it will effect this wallet. I suppose this would be a question for the developers, but are there any plans in place to support seguit2x? If not, what safeguards are being put in place to prevent replay attacks, for example? I think this needs to be communicated better to us, hence my 1 star taken off. Still love MyceliumBitcoinWallet and hope development on it continues

MyceliumBitcoinWallet crashes about 9/10 of the time upon trying to do anything within it, but luckily it tends to receive and send bitcoin alright for the most part just don’t except to do anything beyond the first screen that pulls up because it’ll just crash. It’s done this for over a year. I’ve used it for a while & put up with and griped about it but i’ve never decided to leave a review. MyceliumBitcoinWallet really needs updated support i’m only using an iphone 7 with maybe one of the newer versions of IOS

Hello I have been trying to send my bitcoin to a different wallet and it wasn’t going through , I have deleted MyceliumBitcoinWallet after backing my wallet up to see if it was MyceliumBitcoinWallet messing up but after I deleted and downloaded it back also inserted my backup keys and it login and shows I have nothing in my wallet ..what is going on ? Why is the iOS app not working properly ..now my bitcoin is missing,please how do I get my bitcoin back ? You have to help me I saved it there for a house rent purpose ..now it’s time for me to pay it ...kindly help me or else I will be in a serious mess ...

Been using MyceliumBitcoinWallet for a while. Never had any problems with sending or receiving money. All my coins are safe even after restoring the wallet. The only thing that is missing is a passcode when entering the wallet.
Update: last program update bring me some unpleasant moments. Can’t see transactions history. Each time I choose History, MyceliumBitcoinWallet just clothes itself. Hope you will fix that issue as Mycelium is still my favorite wallet to use daily.

I’ve been using this version of Mycelium for over a year and recently learned that my BC was compromised for some strange reason... my brother who also uses Mycelium (the real one) has a completely different version, with options, settings, a HELP button, and an option to email when you need help. My BC was inaccessible and my transactions over the past year WERE NOT MINE. I have never transferred such LARGE amounts before. Maybe $20-$60, and I had countless transactions for several hundred dollars that were not mine. No one else has physical access to my phone. GOOGLE it MyceliumBitcoinWallet is fake!

To not update an app in over 2 years to squash bugs that have been reported for 2 years is unacceptable. MyceliumBitcoinWallet crashing when viewing transactions is a pain and many users may not be savvy enough to retrieve the info from the blockchain for proof. You are charging fees for this wallet, you should fix it.

MyceliumBitcoinWallet boasts a huge disclaimer under its legal section that says, in short, we hold zero liability if, for example, the send function corrupts and only lets you send an arbitrary number of coins - less than 2% of the actual funds it says you have available. So let’s say you’ve deposited $2100 into this wallet. MyceliumBitcoinWallet will only let you send $40 of that. You’ve tried reaching out to every non-existent entity listed under “support” to no avail. Your coins are lost. No one cares. No one is accountable. DO NOT USE MyceliumBitcoinWallet. Unless you like throwing your hard earned money away.

SCAM! I had $327 in my account. Had to get a new phone. So I grabbed my master seed from Mycelium, which is a phrase with about 12 words. I used the master seed on my new phone Mycelium app and now it shows my balance is $0.
I tried to email support over two weeks ago and got no response.
I followed every instruction to back up my account, write down the phrase, write down the public key, everything, and now my money is gone. And it shows a diff public key than the one I had before.

I was very satisfied with MyceliumBitcoinWallet for a long time but today everything changed...
I gave someone $5.00 worth of bitcoin and was charged $8.53 for the transaction!!!! Not cool!
I’ve done this multiple times before and it was never that bad.... keep this crap up and it’s just as bad as the banks stealing our money which then negates the usefulness of having crypto in the first place!
Very disappointed.... I’m hoping this was just some freak thing. Maybe the developers can solve this issue and if they can make it right I will remove this review.

i use MyceliumBitcoinWallet to get around the schools blocked wifi and it really helps! i would recommend MyceliumBitcoinWallet to anyone that plans on doing something illegal on a trackable device! Although 25% of the time it doesn’t work, MyceliumBitcoinWallet makes my penis hard!

I had a great experience and it has been with me throughout my financial journey. I invested most of my capital in $Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet as soon as I got the chance because I believe in the company. It is by far the UI/UX of any broker. It is led by two young founders and they innovated the industry.

I only made a couple transactions on the Mycelium app, it started off downhill in 1 day! The support system is the worse I ever seen they don’t respond back with any help or feedback! In addition, transferring BTC to the Wallet takes a horrible long time. If you used a Coinatm forget about it...😭, After 15 mins on the Cottonwood Vending ATM, Mycelium will broadcast the transaction for hours even after you send a payment! Don’t even think about using them to do your investments!!!😴

Just wanted to let you know for some months the *Transactions* feature on your wallet does not work properly, when you choose this option to look the status of any transaction or even check the confirmations it kicks you out of MyceliumBitcoinWallet .

I am using an iPhone and have the latest version updated - iOS 13.4.1. I also deleted the MyCelium wallet then I downloaded it again and it does not work.

I like RobbinMycelium Bitcoin Wallet because it's easy to use and simplifies investing as much as I want. I also like the notes and updates on stocks that affect my investments. Stay up the good work. You are changing the world for the better!

I had it only few months and was working well the first months but lately it doesn’t even update the real price of the btc, and I got 2 days ago 3k USD in btc and still doesn’t show up and the sending transactions in my friends wallet is completed .. but my wallet (mycelium) says “error cant synchronize with the account try it later” . That’s it .
I don’t recommend it at all, hope get my money !

I used this wallet for years. It’s so easy to setup and you can just make a different wallet everytime np. But now when I click transactions MyceliumBitcoinWallet crashes. I’m still able to send and receive but I really loved this wallet I hope they are working on it! Thanks for many years of easy transactions.

I am new to the crypto world but know a scam when i see one. I had a few hundred dollars in btc and when i tried to transfer it all at once I was only allowed by the wallet to send a smaller amount, so they could charge multiple transfer fees! Total BS that they force you to only send a small % of you total acc when sending so they can steal your profits! DONT DOWNLOAD also there is no customer support for an app that I have a ton of money tied up in. COMPLETE SCAM

Everyone writing bad reviews because of miner fees are idiots. This is one of the best and always has been. Do some research before you whine about miner fees and you’ll find out after about 5 seconds of effort that fees are that high everywhere to send (unless it’s a Segwit address)

I have had no problems with MyceliumBitcoinWallet and my money. I don’t understand why my balance sometimes shows bitcoin amount and then switches back to my US dollar amount. That is annoying so that’s why I’m taking 1 star off. But other than that it’s legit. People who give it negative reviews are people who expect everything for free including using MyceliumBitcoinWallet .

You can’t reload your account, you can’t look at your transaction history because it will crash, it crashes every time your balance changes- literally the only thing you can do is send and receive, and even that doesn’t always work smoothly. These guys owe me money as it stands now- not that they have any kind of customer support to discuss that with.

Excellent app. No crashes at all. I’m very pleased with the stability. I’ve been testing it for a while, and now I’m very confortable for the security that offers. Please, don’t disappoint us! Thank you very much!
