I was excited to use it but can’t get to anything

I met a fellow beer enthusiast in a brewery and he showed me this app. I was SO EXCITED to download it and start using it but since I downloaded and set up my account I haven’t been able to open the app. I just get a message that ‘Breweries Updating’ with 3 dots that spin and nothing else. Then I tried to go to their site (breweryexplorer.us) on my computer and reach out via their Contact Us link but even though I’ve filled out all the message fields, nothing happens when I click Send message button.
I don’t know if this is some kind of scam or what but I’m terribly disappointed.
Need to work on locations

This app is okay but the locations are off. A few times I’ve been sitting INSIDE the brewery yet the app won’t allow me to check in because it says that I have to be at the brewery to do so. I pull it up on the map and it shows I’m exactly where the brewery is located and shows me there but the list will say I’m 0.07 miles away or one even said I was half a mile away.
Good, but has its faults

2.5-3 star app. Here’s why: As a heavy user of the Brewee app (before they stopped maintaining it), this app was my backup but became my go-to in 2023/2024. However it’s not without its faults: 1. brewery additions/removals haven’t been updated in months. Normally, you’d find the info updated every couple of weeks, but it stopped updating in late 2024. 2. The app never gave me the “points” for adding new places when I was at the actual location and put the info in (not that I cared, but some people might). 3. If you add a brewery and are NOT at the location, you have to manually navigate the pin in the map which is cumbersome. 4. I could never figure out how to suggest removal of a closed location.
The check in feature is nice if you care about how many times you’ve been to locations. And adding the brewery address info is a simple cut/paste.
If they’d start to update new locations and remove closed locations again, I’d give it 3.5-4 stars. But there’s no other choice other than untapped.
