This is the only available local app with full coverage I can watch on the go otherwise I would watch another.
Best weather coverage and good anchors and fairly good local news coverage until election time got here. However very obviously biased since Hearst took over. Consistently critical of Republicans and Trump. Shamelessly doesn’t make any attempt at balance or real news. Guess I’m old enough to remember when the news was actually about news.
WVTM13 itself has always been buggy, but lately I can only get to the first animated commercial, then it hangs up. I just want to get through the full weather report and and the low down on COVID. I can’t stomach your political crap! Bought a new streaming service so I can get something better. I’m breaking up! Tired of brainwashing and fake news.

This would receive 5 stars, except for an annoying bug that appeared with the most recent update. It has to do with notifications. During the course of a few very busy days, a number of notifications from WVTM accumulated; but now, as I am ready to catch up, I am faced with a dilemma. When one clicks on a notification from WVTM, _all of the notifications from WVTM13 now disappear! Therefore, one must either choose one article to read, letting all of the others vanish unread, or one must attempt to copy the links to all of the articles in notifications in order to save them—a laborious process if there are numerous notifications. Please fix!

I love the information you provide daily. The articles are interesting and timely. I like the option to read the articles with the option to cancel the adds. I rarely listen to videos because I can read articles at a faster rate. Thank you for providing the printed stories on many of your articles. I appreciate the headlines so I can immediately review the stories of interest. Overall I am extremely pleased with your app and the news cover stories! Thanks for the great information!!

Bham has many local news sources across a variety of venues. this app in my opinion provides the best newsworthy content both locally and nationally. WVTM13 is user friendly so ‘you’ choose what alerts to receive from wherever you decide in the Birmingham area. The weather app (now combined with the news app here) keeps you quickly informed using the most advanced, accurate weather information.

I’ve been receiving notices that the WVTM Weather app is going away in January. That app is my go-to weather info companion and I use it many times a day both here in Birmingham and when I travel out of state for work. I think it’s great!

I understand that the weather features will be combined into the WVTM news app site, which I also use as my news source at least a couple times a week, but not nearly as often as your weather app. My preference would be to keep them separate.

However you combine those two I am concerned that I’ll have to fumble my way around your news site to get to the weather. If you’re going to take away my direct-connect with the WVTM Weather, please, please do all you can to make the link obvious and placed on the first screen I pull up.

WVTM is the best. Keep up the good work.

I would love the option of reading the news articles in addition to video. Sometimes my internet is not fast enough to play the videos. Also, can you update the news more often, especially on weekends. I love the Stitch articles.

When I put in my location I want the radar to show a close up of my location. Yours doesn’t!! It gives me a written description of current weather and temperatures but I want to see the radar for Me. I hate to say it but if there isn’t storms I will be watching Channel 6 for my weather. 6 shows my area every time I open WVTM13 ( close up).

It is frustrating to have to watch an ad for almost everything you click on. I usually end up just clicking out of the whole thing. And sometimes I can’t even find the article you are telling us about. I like to keep up with local news, but this just isn’t my “go to” place.

WVTM13 is all about news not weather. All about ads!!! We don’t care we want weather. Hard to get instant alert. Radar is so so slow. We need alert first not news. Step up or give us our go to app back. Very disappointed. Wayyyyy too many pages to navigate to find weather. Can’t believe WVTM13 is so bad for weather. Need needs to be a choice not radar. Radar should be instant gratification. Messed up on this one. Please fix since we had no choice on app. Hearst is the worst.

I like WVTM13 and love having access to the news but being forced to listen to the same ad over and over without being able to disable it is annoying in the extreme. Perhaps if you only had to hear it once when you first land on the page would solve the issue. Please fix this!

I like your app, but am confused by some of the articles that have a topic in the title, but when you look for more information, the article only re-states what the title says. It’s probably my ineptitude, but I do get frustrated.

I agree with another reviewer that having to listen to the same commercial every time you open an article is a real deterrent to using your site.

I only used the weather app and then when they were combined I found it beneficial to have news and weather in one place. My weather app still works even though you said it would be removed in January.

I liked it better when the weather app opened up and was separate from the main 13 news app. It was much simpler to go weather and get resoyou wanted. Love channel 13 though.

So. Many. Notifications. Even when you change in the settings what you get alerted about, you still get the notifications of the things you turn off!!! Going to to switch to another Birmingham news app. This is so sad.

I love WVTM13 but it has too many commercials I would love to go just straight to the news but I still love WVTM13 . I’ll be on my lunch break , yes I know I am not the only one. Yes I know the commercials Pay for WVTM13 . Just saying!!!

I like/appreciate in-depth reports by your staff AND community issues presented AND interviews/fact-finding of decisions made by elected officials. Reporting appears to be neutral and unbiased. The “Breaking News” feature keeps me informed in “real time”.Rebecca B. Tinker

It seems far too often that the broadcast quality is lacking. Either it simply doesn’t come in or it is not HD. Yes, I know that might depend on my server, but I NEVER have an issue with the commercial you run as the program begins - funny, huh?!?

I have stopped using WVTM13 as regularly because of all of the ads and other clutter, especially during this stressful time.

I keep getting news alerts & when I try to view the article, it isn’t there & takes up to 10 minutes to show up. Even a search for the headline in WVTM13 doesn’t show anything. Fix your lag time or hire better staff.

As news breaks WVTM13 or person loading news is behind over local new sources. Too slow!

I would like to suggest what others may have said already. Please update the news and weather info more often. This is my go to station for my news. I watch the news from WVTM.

Sometimes the video will begin and there is no way to find out what is going on. We use to be able to tap the video and the information would be there. But now, all you see all the ya down the page is “What is going on” frustrating

I love the information y’all provide it’s up to date hourly and I look to y’all every morning on tv and while I’m at work through my app

I enjoy the content and constant updates on weather and news. I enjoy the on site news on live events also. Keep up the good work.

I really enjoy the regular updates on local and world news as well as weather updates.

Very tired of lawyer and first responders ad. Tired hearing an watching each time I listen and watch your news.
