  Affordable luxury

  My wife, a close friend and I recently travelled to Helsinki from New York and eventually to Thailand. As always a great experience all throughout, the food, the smooth & timely landing, all luggage in tact and received. Once again.. Well done! It can’t be all luck, you all are doing something right. Thank you and looking forward to another journey with Finnair. 😊😊😊

  what?

  I have a round trip flight and after my first flight, this app logs me out of my finnair account and REMOVES my booking from the app. it won’t let me log back in claiming that my log in credentials are wrong but they aren’t as i’ve written everything down. the add journey features still seem to work fine it just seems the app refuses to let me use my account in collaboration with my journeys. it looks bad that the app is refusing to sync my account and journeys, making me lose points on multiple flights.

  Cancel flight on app

  This app should allow users to cancel their flights due to the Clemons virus outbreak. I’ve spent 6 hours on 3 different days trying to get ahold of someone. I understand everyone is going through this together but if we were allowed to cancel on the app it would mean less waiting on hold for someone to answer. And less calls going to you guys. Fix this please.

  Wallet FF card

  I got this app in hope that I could add my Finnair Plus card to my Apple Wallet, but I can't. This is completely dumb that you can't do that. Every airline app that I have encountered have that feature (Excluding Qantas). This feature needs to be added soon.

  Doesn’t show dates

  For some incomprehensible reason it doesn’t show the date of the flight, only text like “in x days”. It’s Monday today; my flight is early on Thursday morning, and it claims it’s “the day after tomorrow” (Wednesday), which is wrong. I’d be at the airport a day early if I trusted this app. Just show the actual date.

  Great service. Awesome food, horrendous app

  I always look forward to traveling on Finnair, however the app is so counterintuitive & cumbersome, sections get blocked out, it thinks I’m 3 people all occupying the same seat. Let your travel agent do it

  At least Online Check-In now works ...

  ... even without being a Finnair Plus member. But the App is pretty useless if you are using a different oneworld program.

  Horrible checkin flow

  1. Is there any point making all the buttons so small? 2. If some seats are “special” and somehow can’t be selected, can they just be disabled from the seat map so I won’t happen to select them then get an error saying “those seats can’t be selected”?

  Utterly totally useless

  I think this is the worst airline app I have ever used. I recently flew to Asia on Finnair, connecting in Helsinki, for a total of four flight segments. I joined Finnair Plus and loaded my flights onto this app expecting this to enhance my trip and I was totally wrong. Not only did the app not provide a mobile boarding pass (even in Helsinki), it provided exactly nothing at all beyond listing the scheduled time of my flight and the flight number; no information on updated departure times, gate or even the terminal my flights departed from, let alone helpful information that other airlines routinely provide such as where the plane is coming from, services onboard (e.g. Wifi), type of plane, seating chart etc. In short this app provided fewer pieces of updated information than the email I got when I bought my ticket, making this app a total, utter and complete waste of my time.

  Requires Finnair Plus

  It might be an amazing app, I cannot know... I have an American AAdvantage account and sometimes fly Finnair as a One World partner -- so I don't and won't have a Finnair Plus account. But the app requires a Finnair Plus app to enter it. Too bad as I would still like the convenience of using the Finnair app for my Finnair flights. I use the BA app and the Alaska Airlines app (Alaska codeshares with American) without having a frequent flyer account with either of them. They both let me enter my last name and record locator and it remembers it and gives me full app features. C'mon Finnair, open it up to your One World flyers!

  Useless unless you’re a Finnair Plus Member

  Zero functionality unless you are a member of Finnair’s frequent flyer programme. I’d very much like to use the app but I hold oneworld status with another programme and not with Finnair. I am not going to join Finnair Plus, credit my flying to them just to be able to use the app. Finnair needs to take a leaf out of BA’s or AA's book and make their app accessible to those who need to use their airline but who don’t need or want to join their frequent flyer programme. A missed opportunity - and a pity as the app looks to be very well designed.

  Not good if you use a different program

  I have Cathay Pacific membership but fly a lot of Finnair these days. This app is not terribly helpful. 1) The first screen of the app demands you to log into a Finnair Plus account or create one. If you just want to manage your existing Finnair PNR you cannot do so without signing up for Finnair Plus. There's no way to bypass the screen. 2) When you do create an account and then use the app to manage a Finnair PNR it will silently overwrite your frequent flyer program to the Finnair Plus one you logged in with. You can manage the booking or do online checkin and change it back to a different OneWorld FF program but: 3) it fails to validate Cathay Pacific Marco Polo Club numbers. I can enter a BA or MH FF number but not a CX one.

  Finnair App ( negative 5 stars!!)

  This app went from a "minimally useful" to "totally nonfunctional" as it quits immediately after launching. I deleted it from my iPhone 6; now I can't re-download it. It seems like the tech department has gone on vacation and never bothered to check if their app works! What a shame considering that Finland is one of the most tech savvy countries on earth. I wish there was a way to give it negative five stars!!!!!

  Inept development team

  The app itself is okay but the team developing it seem to be highly inept. 3 to 4 upgrades in a week leads me to believe the developers are not too bright. Every day a bug fix here, bug fix there. How about testing the (cr)app before releasing it? 15 July - Another bug fix after the one on the 14th of July. Thank you developers for proving me correct. You are truly inept in your jobs.
