I strongly do not recommend using their mobile app for gas purchases with Apple Pay, especially if you use an Apple Card.
Normally, when you purchase gas, it will show as “pending“ for a day or two, then show as completed when the transaction has cleared; however, this is not the behavior of the 76 app.
76 gas purchases with Apple Pay via their app will spontaneously disappear for 1 to 2 days after you purchase gasoline, and often will not reappear afterwards.
76 customer service is of absolutely no help, will just tell you to contact Apple Pay. Meanwhile, I do not see this behavior on other mobile gas purchase apps. ex. Chevron and ExxonMobil both work just fine, the transactions do not disappear but show as pending for 1-2 days until the transaction is fully completed.

App worked great and I was saving $ then after one update several months ago the app never worked again. Deleted and redownloaded and still app never works. Attendant and I looked and this was my 15th attempt but the app never activated the pump and charges me $0.00 every time. So far out of those 15 trips I have not received the $56+ in gas credits even though payment thru the app was attempted. Emailed customer service and zero response.

First I was deceived in thinking I receive $.25 off per gallon and really only received $.12 off per gallon for my purchase also the discount was nowhere near worthwhile considering the fact that they didn’t tell me there be $100 hold on my account and then put my account into -$47. Absolutely not worth the discount and extremely disappointed and irritated by this app and it’s deceptive claims
