UtahHuntingandFishing deleted all the licenses off my phone and won’t load or work, is says my info to log in doesn’t exists. I don’t know what update happened but UtahHuntingandFishing isn’t working.

Every so often I open UtahHuntingandFishing to check that my downloaded licenses are still downloaded and often times they are not and I have to login again and re-download them. What if a DWR officer checked me for a license somewhere where I didn’t have cell service and I opened my phone to discover that my license was not saved/downloaded to my phone? I wish that once I downloaded my license it would stay downloaded and not disappear.

Don’t waste your time

I was told by dwr officers that UtahHuntingandFishing can replace paper license and it would stay on device after downloading it. UtahHuntingandFishing randomly deleted all my licenses, and i had just renewed weeks prior and didnt have paper copy yet in the mail. I got ticketed for not having a license even though i have one active. Now i have to carry paper copy every where i go which defeats the purpose of UtahHuntingandFishing .

The screens don’t scroll unless you view the details. The back buttons are placed in line with the list at the bottom of the results, very strange place. UtahHuntingandFishing is not very well made. I looked for a way to contact DWR and all they had on their webpage were phone numbers. I’m not going to call in a list of bugs. So I’m posting them here, which I doubt they’ll read. Oh well.

DNR you please Fix UtahHuntingandFishing already! Where does all my $$$ go.... Wow I am very disappointed I can’t see the maps it won’t work!
And it’s been this way for a few months now.

I can’t download my fishing license all it does is just stay stuck on a never ending loading screen what’s the point of UtahHuntingandFishing if I Doesn’t even work

UtahHuntingandFishing provides a frustrating experience with a poorly designed interface, confusing navigation, and badly named menu choices. It is long overdue for a complete redesign that takes user experience into account.

I searched and find my license but when It prompts me to tap on the license to save, it doesn't nothing!!! I've re downloaded UtahHuntingandFishing , tap on license with the phone upside down, sideways, pressing on it and almost smacking it but still the dang thing won't upload it.
Would update review if the thing would work.

Overall I’ve found his app to be very helpful! The maps outline your exact region so you know where your boundaries are if ever in question and access to shooing hours is easily accessible. The reason for 3 star review is it needs a little more. Having your license on your phone is great and paper-free, but I still have to carry my hard copy with me because of the federal duck stamp. It is a bit pointless to use UtahHuntingandFishing in this case. Finding a way to take and add a picture of signed stamp to UtahHuntingandFishing or a picture of hard copy license with duck stamp on it or a link of purchased stamp would be excellent! Same with the blue card. In terms of licenses, the point of UtahHuntingandFishing is to have all licenses together and easily accessible -which it is. But why use it when you need to bring hard copies along anyway for proof. Just a few thoughts that I hope is taken into consideration.

I love the idea and the fact that I can finally download my licenses but I have not been able to download my current small game and fishing licenses. For some reason my buck deer from last year shows up but that is it. Not bad for a first version.

I lost my paper license (which I prefer) but it’s nice I could download to my phone so I didn’t have to buy another. As far as the layout goes, MAKE IT SO YOU CAN SWIPE RIGHT TO THE PREVIOUS PAGE!! It is seriously so annoying that you have to scroll to the bottom of the page. ALSO, update the fish species and records. ESPECIALLY, the cutthroat trout, add a picture to the Yellowstone cutty! And add the golden trout in there, considering there is a state record for it!!

This took forever to download at a Denny s in AZ when not a soul was awake sharing Wifi!?!

I wish you could renew your license through UtahHuntingandFishing . That would be great.

I like UtahHuntingandFishing and it’s a handy back up to show my fishing license. I think it would be nice to have access to the fishing report in UtahHuntingandFishing as well.

Good app that saves a bit of hassle carrying around your fishing license. Just REALLY needs Apple Wallet support.

Works well enough

Downloaded fast, license pulled up, and all the information I needed was there in a simple easy to find format.

I’ve seen some reviews on here of people trying to get more out of UtahHuntingandFishing than what’s really necessary. Like, are you really not willing to take 10-15 seconds out of your day to just look it up?

Love UtahHuntingandFishing , wish the would a make and Apple Watch app for licenses...

Don't waste your time.

Licensing is illegal. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.

With UtahHuntingandFishing, you are now able to load and save you hunting and fishing license for added convenience. Although this is helpful, I still keep UtahHuntingandFishing rated for two stars and my original review still stand besides this new addition.

It's a good idea but the majority of UtahHuntingandFishing requires service to use because it always directs you to the DWR website. The whole point of having UtahHuntingandFishing is to have the information when you need it, which is most likely in the field where cell phone service isn't always available. Also it would be nice if UtahHuntingandFishing could save my licenses, every time I go to open up my licenses I have to login with my birthday and my customer ID number, which ironically is located on my license that I can't open because I have there is no way to save a license on UtahHuntingandFishing . Not a well thought out app and needs a lot of work to make it useful to most sportsmen, as of right now I do not recommend UtahHuntingandFishing. It is much easier to just carry a copy of the hunting and fishing regulations with you if you need information.

It's nice to be able to store licenses and permits on your phone. The species ID is nice. However, UtahHuntingandFishing should not link to the DWR website for info. All regulations and field guides should be pushed to my phone and updated automatically. Licenses, permits, HIP#s, etc. should be pushed to the phone automatically no matter where they are purchased. UtahHuntingandFishing should be a vault with all my hunting info - automatically. Should be able to purchase licenses $ permits through UtahHuntingandFishing . This is a smart phone. Please use it to its full potential. :)
