Fun and imaginative
There are lots of cute interactive drawing apps out there, but this one is really fun and different. I love the ocean and sky options. The monster is just really engaging for your children. I'll use it to engage kids to comment and describe (speech therapy).

Works well for my 4yo
Edit: 1/1/16 - Six months later and my kid still loves this app. The Halloween update is an improvement. I hope there will be more to come... I'd still like to see different worlds to roam your monsters in. There is more 'stuff' to find and do now, so good job Cowly Owl! Brought this along for a 5hr flight. My 4yo loved it and it held his attention for longer than I expected. He still plays it a couple of weeks after the flight. I wish there was more food to find and maybe a couple of different worlds but that's the only critique. Maybe in an upgrade? Let's hope there will be more coming for this game.

An amazing open play, creative game.
Monster Mingle is both a game and an interactive world which supports open play. It allows children to explore the world at their own pace but provides plenty of moments for creativity and experimentation as well as problem solving. Children can customize their monster by picking up different noses, eyes, arms, legs or wings. The monster you build will do different things based on what features it currently has, so children can change their monster to better navigate and explore the world. The other characters and the environment it self responds to touch interaction so there ends up being a lot of things in the app to reward children’s curiosity. Overall this is a really lovely, creative app that I think a lot of children will enjoy.
