Before the update I could see my children s grades as the quarter went on-now I have to log onto a computer to see what they are-very annoying!!!!

Actually this should be zero stars! Wish my kids schools never considered SchoolTool, it’s the worst! It shows nothing you want to see, you can’t update your personal information (all mine is incorrect), every time you go into SchoolTool you have to retype the URL, it never saves it even when you check the box to save it. Apparently this has been an issue forever according to reviews but no one fixed it. The overall appearance is very basic looks like someone just gave up on it...

My daughter is on medical part time homebound. It used to take only a few quick clicks to check her schedule to see when I needed to have her in to school for her rotating classes. Since the update-It won't save my login information. And recently I have to type in the complicated URL. This is very inconvenient and therefore makes this ap useless to me now. Please fix it so it remembers my login/stays logged in.

It’s blue text on a black background. Did anyone test this? Also, why do you require parents to type in crazy https URLs? It’s 2021. Not 1991. How about a pull down list of school districts. You do like 500 of them. It would take less time then to perfectly type in the crazy urls you force districts to use. It’s time to spend a few dollars on UI instead of the dashboard.

Update... They somehow figured out how to make a horrible app even worse. Can I give 0 stars?

I'm really trying to like SchoolTool . I can even get over the fact that it does not support some of the major features of the website. Or the fact that marking period grades don't work. You just learn to live with it.

However lately SchoolTool became totally unusable. Every time I go to log in, it forgets the url or the credentials. So I have to input that multiple times a week.

This is my schools first year using this app and it takes me 10-15 minutes for the log-in to actually work on my phone. it works just fine on my computer, but i cant see my grades when using this app on the computer. i only really log in to this app to check my grades and monitor them. it’s also hard to navigate. if i could give it zero stars i would. this app please fix this

SchoolTool is the worst app to use. Before the update everything worked fine but since the update nothing and I mean nothing works. At first it just logged me out but then it would not let me use the “sign in with google” choice that my school and it’s tech team has told me to use. Then it wouldn’t even let me get past the url page. and now every time I try and log in it won’t think i’m using the right password or it will just lock me out. SchoolTool NEEDS to go it’s so bad!

SchoolTool could be very helpful however it has many issues. It frequently just logs me out then I have to enter all information which is a pain because the login and password are specific to this so they are not memorized. To move around SchoolTool it's very clunky and will log out when you choose to move from one area to another. I want to see info just like I see it from the web page. Fix it!!!

I got past the whole URL part and then used my google account to log in and it said I couldn’t access my information. I know this is not usually what should be happening as I have been using this app through google for at least 3 years now for school. It always works when I go the long way (through google, then to my school website, and then logging in after scrolling to find the link) to get to my information. I wanted to try this out, because it would cut down on the time needed for me to access my grades and whatnot. Schooltools been great for my school, but SchoolTool doesn’t work for me.

SchoolTool is good for keeping track of assignments that the teachers log, marking period grades, and attendance. It’s missing the option of seeing progress report grades which is a key component of my child’s schooling. It let’s me know how they’re performing halfway through the semester so we can adjust activities if needed. It’s very frustrating that SchoolTool is missing this huge function.

Probably useful for students and parents, but for staff SchoolTool is basically useless. The mobile site is easier to access and has everything I need to enter grades or attendance. I think SchoolTool was designed for student and parent use, not for staff use. I will stick to the mobile site until this has more features for staff.

app works great for checking grades quickly although it is very different from the website & is hard to figure out at first but it gets the job done. usually after getting an updated assignment it’ll only pop up maybe 3 times but recently, & it continues as i type this, ive gotten over 200 nonstop notifications for one single assignment. yes i am aware my assignment was graded thank you. don’t want to turn off notifications completely since it’s still nice to know when stuff is updated but just one pop up would be great, not 200

What a disappointment. my experience with SchoolTool has been very frustrating. First, I kept getting an error message saying it was "unable to establish a connection to the network". Now that it's finally working, it keeps logging me out even though I have selected "keep me logged in". I hope they can fix this.

After the latest update you can no longer see students avg for the current quarter. You used to be able to see avgs under assignments but it was removed. Was handy for students to see where they were in the current quarter. App isn’t very useful any more. Still ok to see individual assignments but without an average, there really isn’t a good performance marker.

V7.1: updated look is good/bad. Easier to read but very clunky, with controls and menus/ breadcrumbs that take up half the screen. The primary day-to-day use for parents and students is to check assignments. That screen is too narrow in portrait so the text is cut off. In landscape, the four title bars obscure most of the screen so you can only see three rows at a time. Bad ux.

Everything on the website should be doable in the mobile app, top priority, but it’s been years.

My friend logged Into her this app on my app to check her grades really quick. When she was done, I logged out of her account and back into mine, but now I only get notified when HER grades are updated and no matter what I do (I’ve tried logging out and back in) nothing has fixed this. Other than that, it’s a great app. It delivers what is promised and is informative.

SchoolTool never saves my school tool website and I end up having to get it again and again. So it’s just more convenient if I just go online through the website since SchoolTool is actual trash.

This is such a step down from powerschool. My school can’t afford powerschool and this is so bad. So hard to learn everything about SchoolTool and it still disappoints. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

Our school switched to SchoolTool this year, everyone was struggling with it. Fix SchoolTool layout so it’s easier to understand. I would write it a negative 5 stars but that’s not possible so I’m doing this.

Did this update again? I had no problem with it until about two weeks ago. Now I have to add the url every time. Tempted to just delete and use the schools website.

Basically a search engine that only works for this app sits. Need to enter the URL and everything. Could be so much better

SchoolTool no longer remembers the school url. It worked for for over a year and now for a couple months you have to put the url and log in every time, yet I do still get notifications from SchoolTool even though I’m supposedly not logged into.

App will not save url. Where I need to put it in and then login again every time I use SchoolTool . It has been a known issue for years where SchoolTool does not save the school district URL.
Just look at the comments for obvious proof. How irresponsible for they software developers. They choose to ignore the issue and put a proper update in place.
And I am not putting a ticket in with my school district. This issue is widespread.
Fix it!

I love the website for looking at grades and everything else. One thing missing compared to my school’s this app website. “Disciplinary records”. Would get a higher rating if they where on SchoolTool .
