Not the same, but it is something if you want to see the face bubble

It’s not a 1-touch dial. 1st I tried making a shortcut & put it as a widget, and yes it will dial w/ 1-touch, but I didn't like their name as just text & not see the bubble w/ their face (I like seeing my grandma’s smiling face when I call her everyday). So I downloaded this & it looks almost the same as before however it isn’t 1-touch. You click the face & then it brings up option to call, facetime, whatsapp etc so that’s why I took off a star. I took off a 2nd star bc I only use 4 contacts (it looks like you can do up to 10 on widget, I’m just saying that bc my 4 take up spots in the widget as if they are 4 of 10, vs just showing them as just the 4, or 4 out of 5 if they are using 5 across in the widget). And paying $1.99 to upgrade to possibly change them to make bigger in the widget is crazy when that at least should be in the free section. If they want to make you pay for the 1-touch option or other added features, that I understand. If they give the option of paying for 1-touch (even tho it’s unlikely I’d pay unless it was cheap) Or give ability to adjust the number of contacts to make widget smaller or fill the widget space, I will adjust rating as well.

Just what I was looking for...almost

I have never reviewed an app before but this one was worth my time. I tried out a Samsung for two days - that's all I could stand! And while I could get almost every app on it - it still sucked! The ONLY thing that I liked about it was the ability to add my favorite contacts to the home screen. This widget is the closest thing I have found that will allow me easy access to the people I call and text regularly. Just wish it could be on the home screen and not just a widget!

Disappointed

I installed FavoritesWidgetPro when this convenience was removed with the iOS 14 update. I was so happy to find FavoritesWidgetPro. When I installed it, I loved it. I would click on the contact and the action options would slide to the side. However, I paid for premium to have 3D Touch and it isn’t working. There are now MORE steps required to make a call then before. I don’t know why FavoritesWidgetPro was updated if it made it worse. It was definitely 5 stars before. Now, I give it 1 star because I paid for premium and I am not getting what is advertised. In addition, it’s now less convenient because of all the steps you have to take to make a call. I hope this issue is resolved soon!

Great app

I love FavoritesWidgetPro for fast dialing your most frequent contacts. More customization than iOS favorites and quick to react.

I have to add an addendum at this point. Ever since ios11 came out the widget collapses and cuts off half of the bottom row of contacts no matter what size you make them. It also does not fast dial any more when you 3D hard press your contact. It instead brings up a box that asks if you want to call this number and you ha e to hit “yes” to place the call which completely defeats the 3D Touch dial. Until the developer fixes this it is just slightly better that the built in favorites widget.

Does what it says it does.

It effectively resolves the issue of stupid iOS 14 getting rid of the speed dial widget. However, I didn’t rate FavoritesWidgetPro 5 stars because there’s an added message when you use FavoritesWidgetPro for texting that you have to delete (you have to pay $2 to get rid of it). I also don’t like how I have to use 3D Touch to make calls. I wish FavoritesWidgetPro would use 3D Touch to open up options besides calling such as texting and emailing.

My “Favorite” App.

Love FavoritesWidgetPro!! I’ve been using it for a few years and it’s always been in my home screen. It’s a must for people that have the need to quickly dial/text. After the last update I had some minor issues but when I emailed them they responded quickly with a 2 second fix and I was back up an running! Hope they come out with more user friendly apps that make your life easier.

Where is one touch dialing?

(Update; doesn’t work for me. I’m a dummy that needs directions). I hit the icon and then I then get a button at the bottom of my screen “call xxx xxx xxxx”. That is two touches. There is a comment in each address config that says there is a way to one touch dial, but I can’t find how to enable it and FavoritesWidgetPro seems to be a figure it out yourself kinda thing. It’s a one star rating simply to get my question answered.

Attention developer: 3d touch is still broken

You used to be able to 3d touch a favorite contact and it would pull up the call option, but after a recent update, all you get is the edit option. Also, too many button presses to call someone. 1. Select contact which pulls up options, call, text, etc, 2. Select call 3. Press the number.
It should be 3d touch = phone starts dialing
And select contact. Select phone number = dialing begins. A little more tweaking and it will be good.

Decent widget with a design flaw

I had a similar widget before the latest iOS update but apparently that widget no longer exists... I love this widget functionally, but there’s one thing that’s bugging me. There is SO MUCH blank space between the rows of contacts, and it makes it look ridiculous. I can’t see an option for adjusting this. If the spacing issue gets fixed, I’ll gladly buy the pro version to be able to use more shortcuts.

Great widget. Use it all the time.

I have been a user of the free version for several years and recently opted for the paid version, especially for the Home Screen widget.

Unfortunately due to Apple’s implementation for these widgets FavoritesWidgetPro has to actually open when dialing etc. Until this changes by Apple I removed the Home Screen version and went back to the classic version.

Reverting back to the traditional widget was easy by selecting Edit on that screen and adding it back in. What I really like in the paid version is the pop up ability to dial etc. instantly.

The paid Home Screen version is really nice and allows some nice personalization... too bad Apple requires a direct launch that defeats the purpose for me.

3D Touch for quick call

I paid for the premium version, I have the 3D Touch enabled for the quick call feature but it still isn’t working. It gets 4 stars for the convenience that the iOS 14 update took away. Just wish I didn’t have to
Press 3 different options to make a call

Love having my favorites contacts in widget form!!

When Apple updated to iOS 14, they took away one of my favorite features...the favorite contacts widget. Thrilled to find FavoritesWidgetPro and even happier that it is as easy to set up as the one that used to be built into the phone. Thank you for a great app that’s simple to set up, simple to use and simply works!! Great job!!

Excellent!

I have tried many different apps with widgets for my favorite contacts. This one is the only one that was able to do everything I wanted. Easy setup, groups, contact photos and every method of communication. Very nice and functional widget. The only suggestion would be to make the widget text labels and communication icons larger. The labels on high resolution devices is hard to read. Excellent app.

Pointless. Saves no time or effort to dial.

Not a bad idea but it takes the same number of gestures to dial a contact on the widget as on the favorites list in the native Phone app.

1. Tap widget contact. 2. Select voice “call”. 3. Tap the dial confirmation alert.

Or...

1. Tap the Phone icon.2. Tap the Favorites menu. 3. Tap the contact to dial.

Maybe iOS precludes dialing directly from a widget tap.

OK, you can turn off other app options for each contact to skip one step but you still have to find the Home Screen page on which you place the widget. I might as well just say. “hey Siri, call Mom” and skip all gestures.

If I’m really desperate for a one touch dial , I can use the built on iOS Shortcuts app to make a Home Screen icon to dial a contact for me.

Either way, not worth paying premium for a few more features that offer no advantage.

So annoyed

I paid for premium which is pointless. Firstly, from the actual widget I think I have to hit the person, the call button, then confirm call, and unlock my phone in order to make the call.
It defeats the purpose of hands free in the car which is why I wanted the widget.
The classic widget used to only make me hit the name and the call symbol from the classic widget and it’d call on a locked screen. But after either an iPhone or an app update it always just says unavailable and I can’t use it.
I’m sorely disappointed and looking for a more useful option.

Tired of messing with it every few days

I am tired of dealing with FavoritesWidgetPro . I needed a favorites shortcut when Apple took the shortcut widget away. I bought your enhanced version. I’m tired of it changing every couple of days. I just want the classic view on the shortcut menu to the left of the home screen. But FavoritesWidgetPro keeps changing it to the home screen smaller view. Now I can’t get the classic back. And I can’t get multiple views of the home screen widget to get all my favorites. So I’m looking for a different app.

Refund?

This was exactly what I was looking for when I lost the favorites widget with ios14. It was so good I gladly paid for the premium version. Since the update the “favorites launcher” that goes on the original widget page is gone along with other advertised features. Now I no longer have the features I paid for. Are you trying to fix it or do you need to refund what people paid for and now are no longer getting? I will change my rating to 5 stars if FavoritesWidgetPro is put back to the way it was prior to the update. If not I want my money back.

Looks and feels like the iPhone favorite app

Great way to organize favorite contacts. I did an iOS update today, lost my contacts but got them back after many steps so exhausting. I realized how much I need that favorite list and so this 3rd party is my backup to compensate any future surprise iOS updates glitches.

Enjoying the App

I enjoy using FavoritesWidgetPro and all the features. I have been using it for two years now. I really enjoy the 3D features. Since the update of the new iOS it doesn't fast dial which I miss. Instead a box comes up asking yes or no please fix and also all the contacts do not show only half. Developer please fix Iove FavoritesWidgetPro.

Cool but could use some updates

I specifically got FavoritesWidgetPro to use for widgets on iOS14. The thing is it only has one widget size, and it has to fit 10 contacts. It would be cool if it had a small widget that only four contacts. Additionally, the medium widget is a little awkward if there are only few contacts, so it would be nice if it the amount of contacts fit to the widgets.
Other than that, the widgets are pretty useful

Best contacts grouping app out there

Couldn't find any other app that does exactly what this one does - groups your iPhone contacts in a flexible manner and makes it easy to access via the widget, which is robust. No bugs thus far. Well worth the $1.99.

By

Absolutely the best.

If I had to pick an app that made the iPhone faster and easier to use this is it. I can’t say how happy I am now that that little glitch is gone (it would collapse to “show less” on my phone).

By

Easy to use

This is very easy to use and easy to set up. I have tried a few different contact widget apps and this is the most user friendly one I found.

By

Very useful

I have really enjoyed the convenience of FavoritesWidgetPro. Didn’t rate as five because when a contact doesn’t answer the phone I have to go back to my home screen before selecting a different contact. Other than that, I’m happy.

By

This was a great app

There was no better way to access Contacts then through FavoritesWidgetPro. Since it’s update, however, even with the premium version, only the first few contacts can be shown instead of in unlimited number. That makes FavoritesWidgetPro and it’s upgradeFairly useless.

I believe that the problem arose when iOS 11 came out. It’s a shame that they cannot fix The problem.

What Apple should have done!

FavoritesWidgetPro replaces what Apple removes from their 3D Touch call Favorites feature for iOS 14. Thank you developer for bringing this feature back as a widget. Works great so far! Will update review as needed.

By

Perfect!

I've been looking for this feature for a long time. Hated going through "contacts" to send a simple text or make a quick call.

By

Works great!

With the new update, I couldn’t have my favorites in my usual place. FavoritesWidgetPro not only fixes that, but has more options to stay organized!

By

Worth the look

I'm always looking for a faster and easier way to call people. This one is a worthy app. I think the one thing that would improve FavoritesWidgetPro is pages instead of continuous scrolling.

By

Wonderfully designed

FavoritesWidgetPro is wonderfully designed and much better than the standard favorites feature. The scratch off photos is awesome

By

Quick access

I like having this quick access to my most used numbers!
