My absolute favorite app

I try a lot of apps. I'll get really excited about an app I saw on LauncherwithMultipleWidgets Store or heard about from a friend or podcast and try it. And I usually use it for a few days or even a few weeks before I lose interest because it only does a couple useful things or I realize it doesn't really do what I need.

But Launcher has been my absolute favorite app from the moment I downloaded it a couple years ago. And it continues to add features that make it so much easier to do the most important things I need to do on my phone. With one swipe, I have everything I need just a click away. I can call my husband, get directions home, text my favorite people, go right to a specific web page, turn on/off my lights, Shazam a song I hear on the radio or in a store, or check Facebook instantaneously. I can set up separate launchers for work vs home. I can even set them up based on time of day so I can quickly do the things I need to do when I wake up, go to bed, and all day in between.

There have been a couple times when I had trouble adding a launcher, so I contacted the developer, and he was super responsive in adding access to LauncherwithMultipleWidgets I was looking for, and every time there's an update, I find even cooler ways I can shortcut my workflows. It is so rare to find an app that exceeds my expectations. But Launcher does that every day. And it saves me a TON of time, which is invaluable.

Multiple In App Purchases Makes This Difficult To Rate More Highly

I’ve used LauncherwithMultipleWidgets for several years across multiple iPhones and iPads. As I tried to move widgets across platforms yesterday I was reminded of some shortcomings. I have purchased LauncherwithMultipleWidgets and paid for one upgrade only to be met with a second in app purchase to unlock the functionality I really need. I certainly don’t mind paying for apps (I’ve been doing this since day one of the first iPhone release), but an app like this shouldn’t have a multi tiered purchase in my opinon. This is all the more true as there are now totally free options which provide most of the functionality found here.

Also, there are any number of new apps not formally supported by Launcher. This also makes LauncherwithMultipleWidgets less useful to me.

If I could, I would give this two and a half stars at this point, but that isn’t an option. It certainly does provide some much needed convenience which Apple could incorporate into a native iOS release but never has bother to do so. Shortcuts isn’t remotely a competitor here. If you decide to buy, be aware of what you do, and don’t get with each tiered purchase. I suspect many will need to plunk down multiple purchases to get the real use out of Launcher.....

Thank you! To the genius developer who came up with these amazing time savers

Wow! Is all the comes to mind when tried a few years ago. My iPhone broke without a warranty, And could not replace with new one for a year and a half. Decided to reinstall and try out pro version and my Wows! Are tripled at not how much smoother and quick it is, but am amazed at the large number of new and more efficient things you guys have added; especially for the magic launcher for timer. Now if my watch is dead and want to set a timer, I don’t have to double click the home button, find LauncherwithMultipleWidgets The timer is on, then daouble click to go back to my apple nusuc, Facebook, etc., I can just slide down, then left and shows timer; of which is still counting time and showing it counting inside the widget. Amazing! Thank you for saving me lots of time throughout the day, and keeping my accidents on a bike down dramatically cuz of me trying to check msgs or mess with phone more than I should be when riding on-the-go.

This app is amazing

I’ve tried other similar launch apps, and usually they’ll only have launchers for some of your apps but not all the ones you want, which kind of defeats the purpose of the launcher. This one is able to launch almost every single app, and if they don’t have the url scheme to launch it directly, they can do it through the Shortcuts app 99% of the time, and it sets the shortcut up for you automatically so you don’t have to know anything about shortcuts. Also, in the rare instance you can’t launch a certain app, you can request it, and their development team is super nice and responds quickly.

The buttons are fast and responsive. No bugs. At one point I thought the buttons were slow to respond, but it turned out it was only like that on my old iPhone 6, which was slow on everything, so it wasn’t LauncherwithMultipleWidgets ’s fault. On a more updated model of a phone or iPad, it’s super fast.

It also can do tons of actions beyond just launching apps. For instance, in another launch app I tried, I had tried to set up a launch button to go to a particular page in Settings (Keyboards), and a message popped up saying Apple didn’t allow that and they could only launch the settings app itself. But Launcher somehow lets you go to whatever page you want in settings, so apparently it is possible for them.

Great quality app, and definitely worth the upgrade.

Great app for minimization

I bought LauncherwithMultipleWidgets awhile back. I had used Launch Center Pro but I have to admit that was way too confusing for me.

I wanted something very simple that I could use to start an app or start a group text message.

I recently bought an iPad Pro (using ios11) to replace my laptop for 90% of my needs. However, I also made the conscious decision to minimize my Homescreen as I hate clutter. I’d rather do a search for apps than fish through multiple home screens.

I just set up multiple Launcher actions that help significantly with my issues. I have multiple widgets so I can quickly send both single and group text messages. No more going to the Message app and doing a search or scrolling down.

I also have actions to access common items like TuneIn radio and Pocket which I would never want to put in my dock even though I use them frequently. I want my dock to be filled with mission critical apps.

I love having multiple widgets which helps me organize all my actions.

With LauncherwithMultipleWidgets, I’m actually able to have a 1 (just 1) Homescreen with no apps on it. All apps are either in my dock and anything else can be searched for or it’s one swipe to get to the widgets.

Lastly, I also have to be honest here. I mainly wrote this review because one of the first reviews I just read panned LauncherwithMultipleWidgets based on not even trying it.

Great for customization and designing setups.

As said in the title, I use Launcher to customize my Home Screen and it’s been really helpful.

One detail that I enjoy is when you open a shortcut app, rather than seeing the Launcher app and the shortcuts app first, it shows a black screen. This, I think is a better transition to the intended app. It is a simple UX workaround to Apple’s current limitations on third-party app shortcuts (Hopefully Apple will fix it soon). This transition doesn’t always work for all apps, but it’s better than nothing.

I’m excited to see more updates. I would really like to see my custom app icons change to the dark mode icons so that it would match the widget background (which has the light/dark mode options).

Fast Access to Important Apps

I was hesitant at first to buy because I thought it would just be a way to tap to open an app. But I eventually found my way. And glad I did. This will offer to launch an app at a specific location or specific time. It will hide apps from the today screen based on the time or your location. For example, I was always forgetting to launch my timekeeper app when I arrived at a client's with Launcher, it now happens automatically. Forget to launch your task list for a review? Set it to launch for a noon review every day.

In addition, excellent support. I emailed developer about a problem app that crashed on launch. He got back to me within 1 day with a workaround that got LauncherwithMultipleWidgets to launch!

Saves my sanity!

I love LauncherwithMultipleWidgets. Ever since iOS 14, Apple continually takes my icon folders and scatters the apps over random screens. Putting my apps back to where I want them has become an ongoing hobby. Launcher app allows me to create folders, arrange my apps, and they stay where I put them. Also, hats off to the developers for super fast support- in case Launcher doesn’t already have a shortcut for an app (ie my local bank), you request it in app and the developers add it. The last 3 times I’ve requested one, it was added within a minute. It’s as if someone is waiting for the requests to come in. Not to mention the new widgets that actually launch the apps I’ve added to the widget.

Too Complicated

I found this complicated to use and as a person with extensive computer programming education, that’s ridiculous. It should be more intuitive and not need built in tutorials to operate.

I didn’t want to figure out how to make a widget, I want to simply customize some but LauncherwithMultipleWidgets falls short of expectations. If you are comfortable with connecting LauncherwithMultipleWidgets to your contacts you’ll like it more than I do. It allows you to not choose this but that was the first thing it tries to set up. Beyond this, there is a pay nag for anything worth using which is fine but not obvious until clicking on something. I HATE that, the pop up that follows and insists you pay before ever trying LauncherwithMultipleWidgets out. Make it obvious which are paid or not so we know prior to trying to use a feature. Anyhow, this is not for me, clearly and I’m passing on it.

Must have app

LauncherwithMultipleWidgets makes the iPhone way more usable. I originally got it on my iPad and thought it was very good. But now that I have an iPhone I don't know how you can not have LauncherwithMultipleWidgets! It allows me to leave all apps in alphabetical order in the built in launcher. And then organize them how I want in LauncherwithMultipleWidgets. Why would I do that? I like my apps grouped by function. This often means I need an app in multiple groups. Something you can't do in the built in launcher. I'm also coming from windows phone. Where all apps where in an alphabetical list as well as in groups I created. In short for a windows phone user LauncherwithMultipleWidgets makes the iPhone a lot more tolerable. LauncherwithMultipleWidgets owner also responds very quickly.

Special Launcher Does Not Work

Using the free version I drove around several hours trying to create launchers to take me back to a previously visited location (at each of which I had created a Special Launcher which I thought would have saved the GPS coordinates of that location so I could later activate the Launcher from my Notifications and be presented with a map and verbal directions to return me to the spot. I tried both GoogleMaps and Waze.

When I would leave a location where I had created a Launcher and try to get directions back to that location LauncherwithMultipleWidgets would just give me a map and directions to my current location. The concept is good and the function would be very useful to me IF it worked but it does not work and I could find no instructions to help determine if I was doing something wrong.

I’d give a zero rating if that were possible because apps that don’t work just don’t belong in LauncherwithMultipleWidgets Store!

Background needs work since update

1) We can pick colors three different ways but there is no way to select transparency, opt for completely transparent, or select the typical black semitransparent

2) The new image feature is a nice idea but fails... big time. LauncherwithMultipleWidgets kept telling me the image I currently have set as my wallpaper wasn't acceptable because it didn't meet the EXACT image size it expected 🙄 Do you know how many people just download an image and stretch it to be their wallpaper? 🤨

Need to fix these issues guys... 😒

Great app to group your favorite contacts and apps together!!

This is an excellent app to allow you to put your favorite contacts (family, co workers, etc) and apps that you use most often in the same place. Now instead of finding where my apps are or punch my screen several times before I can call my wife, I can now do all those using the first screen!!! Genius idea!!

It also has so many apps that are already built in or for you to choose so you can launch them from the first screen, so you should be very well covered!!

Highly recommended!!

the power of launch center pro but updated often!

Update June 2017: Launcher continues to amaze me. It has now surpassed and outpaced it's competitors. More so, the developer is quick to respond to issues and takes suggestions seriously. A few months ago I suggested adding location/time based alerts and guess what? He added them! LauncherwithMultipleWidgets saves me crazy amounts of time every day. It's tight integration with Workflow and other apps allows me to create a new hub for my daily work.

----
It does pretty much everything launch center pro does but is updated often.

Beautifully Functional App-Great Customer Service

LauncherwithMultipleWidgets has a very clean and intuitive UI. I have been using Launcher with Shortcuts to create Home Screen icons that will launch individual Google Sheets and Docs pages for a group of non-techies with one easy click. Launcher is working flawlessly. It works so much better than opening a Safari bookmark and then being prompted every time to install the Google Sheets app (even though it’s already installed)

I had some problems initially when I tried using a tinyurl address instead of the Google url. Greg At Cromulent Labs was very quick to respond to my inquiry and the issue was resolved.

I tried two other launcher type apps. One was very buggy and the other had a lot of options that were in some cases not obvious what their purpose was without buying and trying.

Nice to have a very functional and clean app with a responsive developer.

Works but some annoyances

LauncherwithMultipleWidgets can help organize the home screen and works well for the most part. There are a couple annoyances though. First, when opening System Settings via Launcher, half the time I get a blank gray screen. Closing and opening it again via Launcher then opens it correctly. Also, some apps that are very regularly used like Phone and Mail can only be opened via a shortcut, so you have to wait for the shortcut to run before those apps will open. So, solid app overall but could definitely be improved by fixing some of those annoyances.

Good staff. Know what you’re getting

Apple has made life hard for developers. Somehow, I think they are proud of that. It is a fault, and it hinders adoption of Apple products, though they suppose otherwise (it is not a theory they have tested out). The implication here is that you can only launch 3rd party apps that are free to install. That’s because, since apps can’t just search for apps, because apple locked it down, the developers have to manually create a link.

Don’t get me started about apple not enabling mouse support, or refusing to add hdmi...

Very nice experience

LauncherwithMultipleWidgets combined with iOS 14 has let me have a much cleaner set of home screens. And the one app in particular that stopped working after it got a major update was resolved in less than half a day after I asked them if that app could be fixed! I really like many aspects of LauncherwithMultipleWidgets including being able to decide how small/large the icons should be and whether or not to show the names of each app. Very highly recommended!!!

Great app!

I’ve been enjoying using LauncherwithMultipleWidgets (after buying the premium version). But there’s just a few things that bug me. You can only have one app on the small widget and you can’t change the size of it. I’d like it if I was able to make LauncherwithMultipleWidgets fit the full widget. Also the window animations before you open an app. It’s not bad because it’s a black screen, especially if you turn on the “reduce motion” setting on your iPhone. But all in all, it’s a great app. Highly recommend

I absolutely love Launcher

It has continued to grow and grow in functionality, and it freed me to arrange my home screen in the most aesthetically pleasing way. I don't need to worry about what's on the front page because every app I could possibly want to use on a moments notice is available at a swipe. Super interesting use cases from a workflow point of view keep popping up as well. Very happy to support this developer with his more than fair in app purchases. Just a supremely satisfying app - thank you!

Very useful. Stable.

I’ve spoken with the dev about this previously, and he has said that keeping the Setting App in the stable was more up to the dev team at Apple. Okay... I can understand that. Though it was weird that at one point it was working on the iPad but not phone. Aaanyway,

I really like LauncherwithMultipleWidgets and it keeps my home screen looking clean.

If there’s one thing I’d really like to see LauncherwithMultipleWidgets dev do, is remove the redundant names of the launchers on their UI. We don’t need to see “launcher 1” “launcher 2” at the top. What would be better, instead, would be the names that the user chooses, which is placed below that particular widget. Putting that on the top would look cleaner, save space and be more useful.

I love it! But except for one thing...

I tried the free version first and I must say that I love it. No app can do what LauncherwithMultipleWidgets can do. To add on top of it, it's easy to use.

However, one suggestion I would put out is the ability to put the widget name where the LAUNCHER label is, maybe have some color coding too? Don't get me wrong, I love it, but in my opinion, I'd rather see the titles on top. Thank you for hearing me out!

PS, I wouldn't mind paying to see that extra layer customization added of this already awesome launcher!

Life saver!

Absolutely an essential app, this is a must-have. Even the free version is loaded with enough features to make life SO much easier. Developer quickly responds to bug reports and requests to enable an app to be Launch-able. I upgraded to the Pro version for what I feel is a very small price and am extremely satisfied. As one who has 270 apps on my iPhone, this is one of the best implemented and well behaved apps I have. Get it!
