TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF does not show widget GIFs after the iOS 15 update. Everything else works, but it’s overshadowed by it’s only unique selling point being dysfunctional.

Don’t let this discourage you from TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF . The creators seem very supportive and are quite generous with the editing for free users, I am hopeful that they will resolve this issue in the future.

1/5 stars for now but the potential is there in the future.

I had TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF for awhile and was paying monthly but TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF glitches just kept getting worse. The gifs use to freeze but now they just turn white and don’t play anymore. I reached out to support 5 days ago and they haven't gotten back to me. I ended my subscription and will delete TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF . I will miss it but it needs to be fixed first.

You have to wait about a whole day just get to edit something else. For example I had to wait like 17 hours just to make an edit. When I woke up the next morning to make a edit I thought it would let me save it but it didn’t.

It says it would give me a free widget to add to my phone but still tried to get me to pay, I added 3 widgets on my phone and then left it alone but wanted to change something and then when I did it changed one of my widgets to match the other one and didn’t let me change it back unless I agreed to pay which I didn’t do, I deleted TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF twice and tried to redo it but it’s still not working….

I wanted to make a widget with a gif but for some reason it was really hard to use, there was bugs and it didn't automatically fit the frame like other widget apps. Also, it is really hard to use TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF if you don't pay. You only get 5 edits and then you have to wait a entire day for you make make another five edits. I think I'll stick to widgetsmith.

I think it was really cool at first but then I realize you have a certain amount of edits then have to wait 3 hours to edit again, it’s been my 3 hours and it still won’t let me edit And that really makes me upset because I really wanted this one widget on there but I can’t have it on there because of the “u reached limited editing”

But needs so polish sometimes widgets that are animated work pop up or stop working and then after like 10 mins will work again please fix this I bought TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF from you guys and want to keep it and show others thanks

I was looking for a good and easy app for gif widgets and this one is good but It would be much better if the gif could play faster the frame thing just makes it look slow and laggy

I really like TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF it’s one of the few apps that lets you use gifs as widgets but where I’m confused is how many gems I can get everyday because In day 1 I got to use 3 then in day 2 i also got 3. But then in Day 3 I waited for my refill but I didn’t get anything.

It’s okay, and even with me using the subscription boost, it’s still buggy. i use GIF and media once, and it worked fine. i use it later, and all of them are frozen. then they turn gray, and stay like that. i changed the widgets back and forth, and nothing. TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF is okay, but having a subscription is not even close to worth it.

please add a way to either change the media without it saying limit of widgets used or be able to delete them?? cause I made a few that I don't want anymore but I can't change them or do anything to them without paying so

I have two widgets on my Home Screen but only one of them show up, and one of them glitches and turns black. As well as wanted to fix on of my widget frame duration because one was
barely moving. But I have to buy the subscription? I only have two widgets. Please fix these.

i understand that some apps, need a way to get money; by subscription. but there was something that made me really upset with TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF. i went into it, thinking we would get you know. an unlimited amt of “widgets”, but unfortunately there was a limit. 5 edits to be exact. i wasnt aware of this in the beginning. it didn’t tell me, its kinda like its trying to get you a little taste of it. and trying to get you to waste those edits. so you can go ahead and buy a subscription. other than that, it was easy to apply the gif and tweak here and there. i unfortunately wont be using TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF, due to what i stated above. might check on it later tho.

Search through GIPHY is nice. I just wish the frame rate could go faster than 1 per second especially on my new iPhone 13 pro max.

I sent over some ideas using the feedback section of TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF and the team like them so they added them in just a few days. Great team I see big things for TapeKitLabofTopWidgetsGIF in the future.

Updated as of 4 Jan 2022: The BEST widget app for both iPhone AND iPad! The new update means that GIF widgets work great for both devices and is the best free app for Widgets, the developers are really on top of everything and super receptive to feedback.

I subscribed for a yearly plan; but the medium and large widgets that I created did not show up after adding. Following a powering off of the phone, a medium widget showed up “Analog clock on the left and digital clock on the right.” However, after a few minutes the digital clock stopped working. Frustrated and angry, I called Apple Billing Department, Canceled subscription and requested a full refund.
