Speak4Me - Text to Speech TTS Reviews

Bless Speak4Me for now I can express my ungodly craving for many large sized McDonalds fries.
I had all four of my wisdom teeth out and found it rather hard and painful to speak with gauze in my mouth and a painfully dry throat. With Speak4Me I was able to talk again! There's tons of different accents you can change the voice to and even slow it down for someone to better understand you. It doesn't take any time to sit and process the words which is so nice!

I love Speak4Me , it’s amazing in fact but I do have a few suggestions. Well for one, you could add rappers voices or as close as you can get to their voices. Also I recommend rappers such as XXXTENTACION, Tupac, Juice WRLD, etc. Not just male rappers but I just want those specific rappers for some things. Also please add singer’s voices in too. Also there are a LOT of ads so if you can remove at least half of them that would make me happy. But other than that Speak4Me is perfect and I absolutely love it. Thank you<3

I had to make a video project for my Environmental Science class, but due to anxiety I couldn’t record my voice. I searched high and low for a good TTS app and online website, but this one is the only one that lets me record and save the audio. Really, I can’t thank you guys enough for making this amazing app. It saved my grade, and I was able to make a great video about Giant Pandas. Thank you again! (Trust me Speak4Me is worth it,,)

The text to speech function isn’t stellar, but it works. But you have little control other than to start and stop the speaking. There is no pause function. Click Stop and you will restart from the beginning if you click Start. This really needs a resume function. There I no way to play from a point other than the beginning. There are no controls at all when listening to a Favorite. The unclosable full screen ads are obnoxious, but I suppose I could pay the ransom to get rid of them. But I won’t. The lack of play controls makes Speak4Me a Delete.

hey this is an awesome app for me to get my words out that i can’t really do at certain times as i have a stuttering problem since i was a kid so it’s always been really annoying when i couldn’t speak when i wanted to but now i can it may be a different voice but at least i can say what i want now plus it’s free and that makes it just that much easier to use so i really love Speak4Me because now i can have someone else speak what i can’t say at a certain time because of my stuttering problem so Speak4Me is a must buy for people like me who have speech issues anyways keep up the good work guys

Ok, I really like Speak4Me, but I think it could be so much better with just a few additions.
So with that said, I thought I'd try and see if the "PRO VERSION" is any better....come to find out that THERE IS NO PRO VERSION!!!
Well that's the conclusion that I have come too,
BECAUSE IT WONT LET ME BUY IT!!! Why?! Can someone explain to me why this is....better yet, has anyone else had this happen??? I'm baffled as to why this is happening to me, let me know if this has happened to you too.

I haven't even tried all the features....and it's too bad, this has the potential of being a really helpful app to many of us out there.

I’ve had the free version of Speak4Me for years and its great but since the last couple of updates, when I save a phrase to favorites, Speak4Me does not save the talk back speed like it did before. It would be nice to also have pitch, rate, and volume. I understand that I have the free version but why remove features that used to be free? There are plenty of ads for support so at least put the ability to save talk back speed to favorites.

Speak4Me has a wide variety of text to speech voices that you can export to use for whatever you want! The only thing is that if you want to export your text it has to be under 2000 characters. You can upgrade to premium at a cost where there is no limit for characters but I'm not going to pay for a text to speech app. If the developer is reading this plz raise the minimum characters to at least 2500 or something.

Speak4Me was very helpful while on rest from voice surgery. My only suggestion would be to have a clear all button so I didn’t have to back-space the box to type something new.

App works great. But languages and sound should be more clearly labeled. Like finding the Siri voice etc... and you should be able to choose from the long list of languages before sending instead of after you press send and it creates a downloaded audio file!! Other than that issue for me, it’s an awesome app!! Thanks developers!!

Their are a few problems. The normal languages are working fine, but the when you try to share the sounds the audio files don’t load

This is an okay app. I don’t like how you have to pay to get more favorites. I understand they are trying to make money, but if they put a few more adds they could get that money. Overall, Speak4Me is a great idea, and a very good work of programming. If you could put more adds instead of a premium app then that would make Speak4Me a five star.

In order to play speech sound you have to close the keyboard then press play. After playing sound the is no 1 press to get to an empty text box so you have to manually select and delete. Meaning the number of steps to use it or make a new message is doubled and the steps are somewhat more complex the up button taps.

Also interstitial ads.

Makes it fall less suitable than other free apps for quick communication when you can’t talk

I would’ve given it five stars but there’s just a little to much ads. Speak4Me is great and the voices are great but very like two edits you make to settings or the voice there is an add and it gets annoying.

This is a awesome game but if you go to favorites you can only favorite 5 things. That’s something l don’t like about this but other than that everything else is good. So if the creators can change it that would be great. That is why l put 4 stars

Id say its a good app, it could have more favorites and more things. But overall pretty great! I’m also glad it doesn’t have to be serious. But my main problem: when is the pitch option coming back? It was a lot more helpful and it recently just disappeared.

I’ve completely lost my voice and it hurts to talk....thank you allergies! Speak4Me has made it easy for me to communicate with my toddler since she doesn’t understand why mom isn’t answering her lol now I can!

Every time you click on something an ad pops up. While there are a lot of voices to chose from and it is helpful after a tonsillectomy, it is annoying due to the fact you have to wait for the 10 secs for the abs to go away.

This has made my prank calls so much better. I cannot express how much this helped. Now my friends are left a bit confused but that is ok. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

I make lectures on Instagram using crappy online Daniel voices. But I really like Speak4Me. It’s so easy. But I want to save the audios to my camera roll. It would be so much better if you could.

Highly recommend. She is now able to communicate with her phone. Sent it to a couple whose sister had a stroke. Making these lives better. Love it. Thank you❤️

So I've been using Speak4Me to make TTS videos. I've discovered that Speak4Me does not have pitch, rate, and volume controlls.
Could you please add it in the next update?
That's the only thing that is keeping me away from a 5 star rating.

How could Speak4Me have such great reviews?
The ads are extremely invasive. They take over the screen and TALK OVER the speech you are trying to produce. It’s not not once, it does this all the time, about every third sentence. That makes it useless.

It does not work in landscape mode. That also makes it nearly useless.

And trying to leave feedback on Speak4Me Store via Speak4Me does not work. When trying, it claims it cannot connect to Speak4Me Store. Might that help explain why there are so few negative reviews?

I am uninstalling Speak4Me. I found another one that works much better, and it respects users much better.

I downloaded this to help me while I recover from throat surgery and was unable to talk. App works and you can't beat the price. I would like to be able to 1.edit favorites instead of deleting them 2.re-order favorites.

When it actually worked, it was useful for me. But now it’s just stuck exporting. Please fix this. When you do I’ll change my review.
