I think more simplified words should be embedded in description of the news, since main idea of Inshorts is too make concise and to the point current happenings. Most of the times heading and description also are ambiguous which prompts one to read full article and then spent time to get the basic idea which feels back to square one as oppose to the purpose of app.

The interface should include features like list of all news so one could jump to that news directly instead of swiping all the way to the required news. Also, left app swipe and clicking on link below for the full access of article is same which is waste of a feature.

Here’s why I am giving you three stars:
There are other sports in the world than Cricket. Period! I don’t need to know which book Virat Kohli was reading in the dressing room. What I need to know is what’s going on with the Badminton world championships. You have numerous articles on Ashes which is not even directly related to India, but only a few about Indians at World Championships? Do some more research and tell us about other sports as well.

Apart from that, I have found your brief article really helpful and efficient. I would sure recommend Inshorts who likes to keep up with the ongoing events. But, there is still room for improvement. Please work on it.

I really love the application as this keeps me updated with all the latest happenings back in India.
However, the headlines in the notification are hard to read as compared to other news applications and make no sense sometimes. This is a small problem and everyone might not experience it but Inshorts can really use a little human centered design thinking.
Editing my review: Lately, I have been getting duplicate notifications of the same news. Also, if I click on a notification of a news, it takes me to a random news inside Inshorts .

I am using this app from last few years, and I am completely hooked to it. Good job by the news curators to bring relevant news. I am living overseas and couldn’t able to find a similar platform for local news, please expand your services to western countries. I wish to see the personalised news in near future.

The news provided is great, but the performance of Inshorts is horrible. App initialization takes a long time. On selecting a news notification, Inshorts opens and within a few seconds it crashes. This happens pretty often and is so annoying! Either the testers are not doing a good job or the developers just don’t wanna fix the issues! I’ll see for a couple of weeks if the performance gets better, if not I’ll switch to some other news apps. And ofcourse I will ask all my friends and family to do the same too! Cuz they are facing the same issues too.

App is not tracking unread emails correctly.... it say unread stories when there are none... when moved to Jnread stories category displays tons of read stories.... in between there will be few unread stories, making it hard to find those unread ones and to lose interest in reading from Inshorts .

In the regular My Feed also, upon refreshing it once shows very few unread stories and then refreshing again shows a really large number for unread stories when actually there aren’t any new unread ones that got added.

Awesome app. It touches lot of different topics of your interests and gives relevant information quickly in well abridged 60 words format.
User experience to flip to next news items is also very convenient. I enjoy going through lot of informative news feeds so conveniently.

There must be a bug which started recently: 1. Already read news are appearing again and again in ‘my feed’ 2. On refreshing, my feed is loading the already read news Please rectify it as it is very annoying and will lead customer unsatisfaction.

this app gives me the briefs on the news that matter and the option to dig deeper into topics of interest. First thing I do while have a cup of tea is open Inshorts and by the time I am done sipping my tea I am up-to-date and ready to go. Thank you this app Team. Great work. Inshorts is really great to have. It keeps me up to date on what’s happening around the world. But Inshorts keeps crashing when I try to open it from the notification center. It takes forever to load when I launch directly from the home screen. I have tried contacting their customer support multiple times but i do not get any response back.

It’s quick to catch up with everything happening around. Also the new features of having some important topics highlighted is amazing. Great for people who don’t have much time to read current affairs.

Inshorts should advertise as an Indian news app. If you are interested in reading predominantly news surrounding India, Inshorts is perfect for you. But I was disappointed when I discovered users could not personalize their news feed, and therefore the percentage of world news articles was small.

I downloaded it for its purpose: to deliver world news and information, in short form. But I hope in the future there's an option to choose news topics that are relevant to you.

I would very much appreciate it if I can select in options the news I get notified for and that show up on my feed.. I understand the developer is not American but there is some news I am not interested in and also most of the news is biased towards a single country. Sure, I’d like international news but have a variety please instead of the same country over and over again sheesh!

It didn’t have many ads before, but nowadays they show a lot of ads and irrelevant news in my feed even though after I put them as irrelevant. I selected not to show Bollywood news and stories from the Indian entertainment industry but it keeps coming in my feeds which was so annoying and also the constant ads was even more annoying.

However I uninstalled it forever.

Simple, neat and uninterrupted! Inshorts doesn’t interfere in my experience of Inshorts . It did get bloated with ads for a bit but I guess smarter heads prevailed and Inshorts is back to its easy user experience. Definitely a must have! You’ll always be informed for every conversation, thanks to Inshorts!

Coming to the point, the main problem I face is the spam of notifications... in 2 days it crosses 100 notifications and they don’t go even after you open Inshorts unless you manually clear it. I understand that this also has utility but what is even more maddening is when you see news shorts you have specifically red flagged (I.e not interested in type of content ) the very least you can do is make the notifications releavent

I love reading this app page wise news. I can get all day news n updates by swiping Inshorts and is very convenient. Most important its upto the mark and they call out any fake news upfront. Thanks

It always shows the main highlights happening around the world and the short story format with the picture makes it so much fun to read !! Love it !!

Plus they have optimised the page in such a way that each touch on the screen has a purpose !!

for a busy person like me have little to no time spend infront of TV, Inshorts gives me confidence I can socialize when a conversations about latest news
gives me glimpse something to contribute to conversations.. and sometimes start a new one. Its a news app, Simple Good Quality

Its good for a bit of timepass news but its filled with nonsense news and Bollywood gossip. Why would I be interested in what all celebrities are saying on Twitter and who is having what surgery?
There is no way to filter out content, although I can view the news on a particular topic but there should be a way to view the news for all topics except entertainment. How hard is it to add that feature?

Love how I can keep myself time-efficiently updated with headlines from around India and the world. Hope they continue to be the same or even better with their coverage, but not get biased/influenced like many other media outlets today. Thanks for creating this app!

I came across Inshorts through my brother. Inshorts is really amazing which provides you news from around the globe in the very shot word. If you are a busy entire day and need a quick update this is the best App I would recommend. Great one!! Applause!!

Suggestion - would it be possible to darken the font color and allow users to select their own font size.

I have tried finding apps that gives me a highlight of whats going on. Inshorts is simple and does the work.
Although there are few shortcomings like if u close your app u have to start over(plz fix it).But I would say with less ads and easy use, i am impressed..

This is a quick news app. Gives you enough to be aware and then also provides links if you'd like to dig deeper if you'd like to read more on specific items.
Been using it for a while now. Like it!

Just what I need with my morning breakfast. No long news articles. I read very fast and need exactly something like this. I am now up to date with latest news in 5 minutes only. Perfect.

It upsets me to give a poor rating to a good app; but the fact that I cannot even open the application, since past few months leaves me with no choice; I waited for you to release some update that was going to fix the crashes, but none of the updates worked; try to fix it ; I am going to wait for at least one more update if it works; I will change my rating or else I will uninstall the application.
