So I caved in and created an Apple Sign in. However it will not sync my bookmarks from my iPhone (a running Guru Maps 4.10.2) that were synced to the cloud. So if you deleted your old version and sign in with this new version you lose your bookmarks!!

Please bring back an option for the old iCloud syncing!

Ver 5.0.1 iCloud Sync still hasn’t been added back (without having to sign in) for iOS devices.

Ver 5.0 Why can’t I still have access to my bookmarks I have previously synced with iCloud? Now I have to create an account in order to do this? No! This is not what I paid for. Please bring back the ability to sync via iCloud WITHOUT needing to have an account! Otherwise I would like a refund so I can go elsewhere. Thank you

I downloaded and paid for GuruMapsPro , downloaded all the states that I will be traveling and clicked the offline option.
I’m in my vehicle going to new locations constantly and you can Not put in an address even though you have the maps downloaded, you have to have internet so not offline at all unless you just want to watch yourself drive around real time which does nothing for me and probably most people.

The first time I used this worthless app I put in a precise street address in Paris France. GuruMapsPro immediately put in a different address with the correct number but a different street. I tried to correct the error but it would not allow me to change the wrong address. What good is GuruMapsPro if it changes your address to another wrong address. What an expensive disappointment this is. One star rating because there is nothing lower.

Used to be one heck of an app. But with each new update it gets worse and worse and worse. Been using it daily for work for 3 years. Used to work great. But each update makes it more and more unreliable. These days it doesn’t even track right and will be off by miles, that is if it even works and your location doesn’t just freeze up. I’m having to search for a different app now because this one is unreliable. It is just a junk app that takes up space on my tablet now.

I got this to use offline with only gps on trails where service doesn't exist. This has become so bloated with features that it has been less and less appealing and useful to me...now I have to provide an account to sync?! It's a shame since I've been using this for years and it's stable and polished...

I initially bought this for my Camino de Santiago walk but have been using it for every walk

Download the offline maps for the areas you will be...they enlarge up to incredible detail

What I love best is the GPS tracking of your walk. You hit record at the beginning and turn it off when your done with your walk and you’ve got an accurate tracking of where you’ve walked with mileage, time walked, time idle and elevation changes

It works completely without Wi-Fi or cell signal

Have tried them all, and this one is truly outstanding.

Simply the best maps for hiking! Shows all the trails not just the official ones. The data is from open street map and Guru Maps adds a well polished interface.

I’ve used this while walking around London and while riding my motorcycle around the SW United States. Works well following saved tracks as on the COBDR or finding a route to a pub for a late lunch.

A great app!! I suggest GPS filtering. Evgen suggests accuracy filter 100 ft, distance threshold 20 ft.

The ascent and descent needs work. It needs filtering, because at present it adds in all the ups and downs of GPS data and gives you a figure that is at least double what it should be.

Love GuruMapsPro, I first downloaded it because of work and then I moved away where services can be even worse. The great part about GuruMapsPro is you can pre download the map for the area and it works offline which is ideal especially if you’re not wanting to use data or unable to. Being able to pin things to find them again is great and the pins have different categories which is perfect for me. Hands down better then the other maps for these reasons. Google maps has some offline capabilities but it seems to not be as accurate.

I have used it for several years. I live in the USA and travel a lot there and internationally, especially in China. Guru (Galileo) has never failed me. I never use google, and rarely use apple maps. My first look is always Guru. It even works to track your flight path when in airplane mode.

I walk around foreign cities and countryside, never worried about network connection. I tag my hotel, or friends home or bus/train station to maintain my orientation. If I find a great, tiny restaurant in an urban maze, tag it.

Just download or update maps before you go and all is well.

Have LOVED GuruMapsPro for years. The most recent update appears to have broken it. All maps deleted and no way to re-download them.

The maps are back! Hurray!!! So excited everything is working again because, as I said, I haves loved it for years.

GuruMapsPro has exceptionally fast map redraw speed of its offline maps. Import of GPX files is easy and once they add Routing to Galileo (Guru) it will be a 5 Star App.

Turn-by-turn was added and works flawlessly offline. Did I mention the maps? They are the best map implementation of any mobile nav app - OSM or proprietary maps - and I've tried them all!

I travel the world and have the world's OSM maps on my phone - 69GB!!! With that much map data other nav apps crawl to a halt performance wise - not Guru. Of course most other map makers don't cover the whole world like OSM does.

I do winter hiking through the winter months, several times a week. I go to places where it would be easy to get lost. GuruMapsPro uses very little phone battery reserve and the combination of the comprehensive off line trail mapping with the satellite location feature is powerful in terms of knowing where I am located and what my options are for a great hike and getting back to the trailhead. The “two-finger” distance measurement, while not crucial, is extremely useful and unique to navigation apps.

The documentation and organization feature of all past hikes is also extremely valuable in hike planning and sharing of its GPX record files.

Blown away. Imported a GPX from basecamp. Worked great. The waypoints were very helpful especially since you can display the waypoint names on GuruMapsPro right near the icons. The downloaded Maps were very stable when offline. I have very few gripes - one of them being that the icon types didn’t import from basecamp. They all came in as generic. I ended up adjusting each waypoint icon manually.

I use it on my iPad in very rural areas. My iPad is not on a cellular network yet I can track my position, speed, elevation and lat/long. I even tracked myself on a plane going 300 mph. I tracked myself on a 4 day hiking trip in the mountains. I wish I knew how they can do it, but it works great.
One improvement would be to change the color of roads and highways and trails to make them easier to follow.

This program is by far the best program for navigation of offline mapping. Evgen is always improving the functions for faster access. Just added is Apple CarPlay which puts it above the competition. A few minor bugs are being worked on at the time of this review but believe me, they will probably be fixed before you download. I highly recommend this program for both vehicle and hiking.

Love the features of the map and the ability to track the routes. As an avid rider I love seeing my stats for my run and this provides a great amount of detail. What’s lacking is the map seem to be pulled out of a paper map. The visual effect of google or apple maps is missing giving it an old feel to it. I have found myself more and more using rever for that reason alone as both apps do the same. However the graphic quality of rever is better. Would love to see better maps in the feature. Otherwise a great app.

I’ve tried several map apps, and this is the best, no question. I just wish it would show as many local stores as Apple Maps in my area.
