No problems
Didn’t have any problems like the other reviewers, I’m guessing problems with advertising can be addressed remotely without updating the app itself.

Enjoy reporting
I thoroughly enjoy WE’s reports and opinion pieces. However, I am frustrated by the constant mal pop ads and being redirected to unwanted ads. Reported malware but see no effort to correct.

I love this app but it needs 2 more fixes
I love the Washington Examiner’s content, and they fixed my previous problem with pop-up videos in the app. However I still would like 2 fixes on the technical side: The first: even though video advertisements no longer pop-up intrusively, they still play automatically where they’re imbedded in the page while I’m reading the article. This causes unnecessary data usage because of loading videos without me asking for them, and it also automatically cuts off whatever music I’m listening to when I clicked on the story. This makes it a pain to use this app while I work out. Once I pause the video, it takes over as whatever was last playing, so when I try to “un-pause” my music, it just plays the video ad again. Second, (this started happening within the last 2-3 weeks). The app seems to completely freeze randomly (but does not force quit itself/crash). The interesting thing here is even when I hit menu and leave the app, when I come back it’s frozen the same way and even if I force quit the app 1-2 times, when I re-open it, it’s frozen the same way it was before, on the same spot in an article, etc. this may be some sort of bug. I am running iOS 11.3.1 - the most recent OS at this time. I just want to say this app has progressed a lot and is much more enjoyable, the content is great and it no longer heats up my phone. I think some screenshots of the new version would be in order to update the App Store listing.
