Was A Great App, Latest Update Broke Everytging

2022-05-29

The mobile app worked great, but several weeks ago, the developers issued a new update, and now nothing appears in the inbox or my work tabs. Nothing shows up in the “shared with me” section. I have literally dozens of tasks and folders (which you also can no longer view) and templates (guess what, you can’t view those, either). I have new notifications / mentions on the desktop version, which thankfully still works. I also no longer receive any type of notifications (yep, they’re turned on, all types). These problems exist consistently whether connected to WiFi or cellular data networks (with cellular data turned on for this app). If it were possible to create an app which is nothing more than a paper weight, this is it. Unfortunately, this makes this app a far less useful business app than the powerful business collaboration tool it used to be.

Completely Unusable

2022-06-30

Saying that Wrike crashes constantly is a grave understatement. I am rarely able to do anything in Wrike , as it consistently crashes within 0 to 15 seconds of me opening it. Even doing something as simple as going to a task and downloading an image can take upwards of a dozen attempts, since Wrike can crash at any point during the process.

It seems to me like there is a disconnect between this app's development team and the management, as I can't imagine the developers were proud to push this broken product to Wrike Store. I would warn the management to consider whether this rate of updates is worthwhile, as they are badly damaging their service's reputation. My coworkers and I complain much more about this app's instabilities than we praise its new features.

Found the app lacking

2022-07-31

The desktop interface is much more useful. Wrike lacks a lot of critical information. Having 20-30 projects and several folders under each with the same titles such as “dev”, “prototype”, “release”. And the same tasks in each of the folders under each of the projects. You can’t see what tasks is for which project since it only displays the folder name with each task. So if you have a tasks like “submit final artwork to customer for approval” under the “release” folder in 10 different products you’ll just see the same task 10 times with the due dates and have no idea what the project for each one is. We’ve found Wrike to be for the most part worthless.

Our Team is Still Frustrated

2022-09-01

We can’t use the mobile app to organize this app subtasks in their outlines among other mobile issues. this app is a black hole when it comes to any sort of reminder system because it doesn’t provide a way to remind through Wrike or over email. Finally, we cannot model our business projects or real estate transactions with the way dependencies and recurring tasks behave.

So, when we see yet another user pricing model from this app aimed at selling a subset of features to certain type of customer, we cannot help but think customers are being milked. We hope this app will instead fix the issues customers have placed on their discussion page and deliver new features with greater honesty and respect to their existing customers.

Response;
I have submitted all of this feedback many times. So, being asked to do it again misses the point. Instead of asking me to email this app for the nth time, this app should be calling me about how to meet our needs for renewal.

Doesn’t show what you need

2022-10-03

I use the this app web site for project management on my computer and can see Gant Charts and lists of categories of jobs and workload. I can’t see any of those things using Wrike . And what’s worse is if I am using my phone or IPad I can’t even go to the website and use all the functionality I need. It just directs to Wrike . I need to have an app that has all the functions of the website. Or at least I need to be able to access the website from a phone or iPad. I have put up with this for a long time but now I think I may have to use a new project management system if Wrike is not giving the functions I need.

Phone calls during the trial period?

2022-11-03

I got so many emails during the first trial 2 week period. I thought their process for following during the trial period was too aggressive. I backed off. When I went to close my trial account, it said extend trial for 2 weeks. Ok, maybe they’ll let me breathe and experiment and play? Nope. Now it’s multiple emails within an hour of extending the trial. Then it’s a phone call from someone in San Diego leaving me sales pitches? Pfft. Never. This business model is exactly the opposite of why I’ve been a Mac user for almost 20 years.

Atrocious

2022-12-05

If I could leave a one-sentence review, it’d say “I’m just so much more confused, all of the time.” this app’s egregiously bad attention to UX makes their product literally unreadable. Literally. In western culture, we read left to right, top to bottom. That is not the case in many instances of this app modules. I have no clue why any designer would arrange things the way they’re arranged in this app. The only other product with a UX experience as poor is PowerPoint. I hope that comes across as an insult, because it’s intended to be one. That is just the tip of the iceberg of deficiencies Wrike has. Absolutely stay away at all costs.

New interface is a lot worse

2023-01-05

I used to like leveraging this app for all projects; however, the new UI just adds more clicks into a destination, which just makes the experience confusing and adds more time in the site figuring out where everything is. I wish they reverted back to the old layout where everything you need is listed on the side, instead of clicking on top to access certain areas and on the left for others vs the right. It just doesn’t seem well thought out.

Its just a to-do list

2023-02-06

Web is very good. App has a major flaw - no Gantt chart. I can’t have a quick overview of all project status. To me, Wrike is just a to do list for users, not for the managers.

The worst thing is when you try to use web site on a mobile device it force you to go to Wrike . You have to wrestle it to get to the full site. I don’t know what they are thinking. I plan to cancel our company’s subscription and go to MS project. It’s just too annoying.

Developer, don’t bother to respond. If you want to listen to users, just make the change. Otherwise don’t waste your time to type up your excuses. We, the seasoned users, don’t need to listen to you on how we want to work.

this app website users - before the developer makes the change to what we wanted, don’t waste your time on Wrike.

If you are new to this app, try something else first.

Where is the calendar?

2023-03-10

Our company uses this app as a scheduling platform. They’re the only platform we’ve found that provides the calendar features we can adapt to our needs (only reason we use it). I was really looking forward to seeing that utilization in Wrike, but it’s not there. Our business is 24/7 and having access to the calendar features on our phones and tablets would be extremely beneficial for us.

Downloaded and immediately deleted.

A la Cart

2023-04-08

There are a number of less expensive options for project management that you should explore before purchasing this app.

The business subscription I pay for is $1,800 a year. Additional functionality cost more, the plan is to get you into a base subscription then sell more functionality at greater and greater costs.

this app is sold as “A la cart” but you can get the same functionally with Asana, Jria, Basecamp for less.

Inbox, Sent & Archived Not Working

2023-05-10

I get badge notifications but when I open Wrike on iOS 13.2 on my iPhone X or iPad Pro, it clears my notifications and says there is nothing in my inbox. Of course, on my desktop app on my MacBook Pro or on my browser, I get notifications and my inbox loads.

Is there a way to clear caches on app? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but no dice.

I’m not sure what’s going on—I submitted a ticket through support but no resolution. I rely on my app on iPhone and iPad so this is super frustrating as it’s been like this for awhile and there seems to be several bugs with Wrike in general.

Ok for Single Project/ Company, Not For Freelancers

2023-06-10

I’m a freelancer that’s been using this app (browser version) for years for multiple projects. I love it. I downloaded Wrike mostly for communication, so I could reply to teams and view attachments easily - I often want to know what’s changed in a doc. The actual work gets done on my PC though.

Wrike is sort of ok and might work if I only had one project/ company, but it forces me to log in each time I toggle to a new one. Today I knew I’d seen something hit my inbox I needed to rely to but couldn’t remember which company it was for. I went through all of them (took several minutes between logins and fat fingers miskeying) but the comment wasn’t visible in any. So, I went to my email and clicked the link there, then got a “can’t open link” error message explaining I either didn’t have permission or the link was bad. :/. I just went back to the desktop version. Sigh. I wasted more time trying to view the dang comment than I did in the entire span it took to boot my PC and reply like normal.

Website great, app so-so

2023-07-12

this app is a powerful system and the web-based interface is intuitive. But the iOS app is odd and limited. For example, you can add a folder but can’t alter it’s name. There are two panels that sometimes work in tandem as you’d expect (with one showing a drill down of the other), but other times they seem completely independent. For example, you might be showing a project in the left hand pane and you’d expect associated tasks to be in the right hand pane but instead the right hand pane still show the previous task you were looking at from another folder. And there are many things that just aren’t editable or movable in the iOS app.

If you plan to be on your desktop 95% of the time, then this iOS app could be a helpful view into your work in a pinch. But hope to use your iPad or iPhone for working your projects, I would look to another project management system.

Issues with Saving

2023-08-12

The UI is amazing. I appreciate everything that Wrike offers. However I’ve encountered an issue recently. I start adding notes to a task and hit Save, only to realize that my recent notes did not save at all. There is no way to recover my notes. I depend on Wrike to keep my information and seamlessly save it. this app admin: please work on this feature. Otherwise a great tool.

Can’t landscape task description.

2023-09-13

Hi, I’ve noticed since the last couple of updates, the tasks description can no longer be viewed in landscape orientation, nor can it be scrolled horizontally nor pinch zoom. Although the description area auto fits to the screen, according to the lengthy info, some parts will be cut off from the ends. Please look into this inconvenience. My device, an iPhone 7S plus. Overall it’s a useful app.

Good for Quick Views

2023-10-15

I use the this app app as a basic way to stay on top of my Inbox. Navigating lists and adding tasks is quite tedious, Approvals doesn’t work for videos, and there’s no calendar view. I would also love to be able to see and add reaction emojis to comments from Wrike as well!

Great platform but iOS needs some tweaks

2023-11-15

It’s a really cool platform and the desktop app is great. My only issues are the iOS app needs the timer added and video content should be streamed and not have to buffer the entire video before playing. It’d be nice to have all the same functionality that the desktop app has in the iOS app overall.

Love this product and app

2023-12-17

Great to be able to take this app on the go for quick approvals and updates. And I don’t know how we’d survive these days without this app yo keep us all on top of things

Best productivity and collaboration product!

2024-01-17

Have tried a variety of other lower end tools (Smartsheets, Asana), and our team struggled to get value beyond a google-docs like collaboration functionality. this app has saved us so much time by enabling task assignment and approvals, document sharing, project collaboration and automatic movement from tasks to calendar etc. Love it

A step backwards

2024-12-16

Although the markup features were limited, I was able to view word docs and comment within the mobile app. Recently (since an update) Wrike is forcing word docs to copy to the MS Word app to view, eliminating the ability to comment and review docs via mobile.

Great app doesn’t deep link

2024-12-16

When on mobile the emailed links don’t deep link into Wrike to the specific project I would like to view. This functionality used to work. Now it just takes you to the my work tab. Deep links would be extremely helpful in an otherwise great app.

Latest update broke it while using onelogin

2024-12-16

App won’t open and won’t let you use web version. Need better testing

Had to delete and reinstall to get working

App 4 stars, Web 10 stars

2024-12-16

I must give Wrike a 5 because the PLATFORM is revolutionary and has changed my business forever. I own a 30 person company (17 of which are on this app currently), and literally every department runs on this app at its core. This software has made our communication and efficiency 100x better than Email and Slack.
