RemoteMouseKeyboardPro (and its companions) are truly an exercise in thoughtful ingenuity. Basically if you want something, anything really, done on your Mac, this remote app allows you to either do it from a premade function within RemoteMouseKeyboardPro or spend a few minutes “building” the feature you want to use to manipulate your Mac with scripts and Siri commands (and I’m sure much more). I do wish RemoteMouseKeyboardPro developers website was more detailed in how to use the many, many, many features. I’ve mostly caught on but I can tell there’s this entire feature set waiting in there to be utilized but I’m just not savvy or knowledgeable enough to know and the directions are scant or relegated to more basic functions. However, having more options than you know how to use isn’t exactly my idea of a huge problem. The apps are constantly being updated and always becoming more useful and streamlined. It’s obvious with every update someone who cares about these products is on the other end dreaming up ways to polish the feature set. Thanks, friend!

I have had RemoteMouseKeyboardPro for around 2 years. It has certainly had its crashes and challenges, but it has come in crazy handy over the years. The phone app offers enough customization to make it easy to perform certain repetitive tasks without using the standard UI, but even the standard UI is responsive and sophisticated enough to complete a majority of casual tasks. The Mac app runs quietly in the background and doesn’t use many processing resources, and is pretty good at being responsive at startup. Don’t bother with the Apple Watch app, it hardly works (at least for me). Overall I would certainly recommend it.

(Actual rating is 4.5) RemoteMouseKeyboardPro is fully worth your money! The best use case i’ve found for it has been when my computer is connected to a tv or monitor away from me and i need to quickly control its keyboard/mouse. it’s a lot easier to use RemoteMouseKeyboardPro than to go out of my way to purchase a bluetooth mouse and keyboard which i would have to use in the dark. RemoteMouseKeyboardPro also allows you to have quick controls over the volume, play/pause, and etc which are better alternatives to scrolling using the trackpad. the final feature i would like to highlight is the ability to launch and close apps (and more) from RemoteMouseKeyboardPro . it is a truly helpful tool and i would get it again. The only thing i would want the developer to improve is the apps ui to make it better looking and more user friendly. Not that it is lacking in the latter part but it would be improved by better aesthetics. Other than that, this is a great app.

I would really like to be able to use RemoteMouseKeyboardPro to control my MacBook to view streaming on my TV. It only connects to my MacBook if I cajole it. It has connected once or twice automatically but lately has been very frustrating. Since it works well when it does connect, I will not uninstall it, hoping to see a fix soon. Just now it just stopped responding at all. It is not too much to ask for an app to work well and as advertised when I buy it.

EDIT: RemoteMouseKeyboardPro has been updated regularly since my initial review and reliability has improved a great deal. I still find it is a wonderful product and recommend it highly. I am raising to FOUR STARS for now, pending how it improves its connectivity.

It has been almost a decade since I first got Remote Pro and I cannot imagine my electronic life without it. RemoteMouseKeyboardPro is far more than just a tv remote, I use it to open and close apps, switch to an app, and see the screen when I am not in the same room with the desktop; among other things. I have multiple Apple devices and not all of the are compatible with the universal control feature that Apple is now offering. I don’t feel the need to upgrade for the sake of bragging rights or to get something from Apple that I already have with Remote•Pro. It works on my iPad Pro so I can see the entire screen and move around in comfort, it works seamlessly with my Apple Watch so I can, for instance, be cooking, pause whatever is playing, and take the call. Sure, I could do exactly the same with my phone but that is exactly the point, I can have the phone in one place, the desktop doing something, and take a call without changing the screen with the cookbook to anything else on my iPad because they are all connected and perform all the functions of Remote•Pro seamlessly.

Years ago, I have forgotten how many, I had a problem and, before I knew it, I had an email from Evgeny Cherpak discussing the issue and (AFAIK) it was fixed soon after because it has never happened again.

All I can say is that I hope Mr. Cherpak keeps making a version that supports Intel Macs for a long time to come.

This is the most complete feature-rich remote in RemoteMouseKeyboardPro Store, and I have tried a variety. Simple mouse and media controls for general users and the option to hotkey custom scripts for the power users.

One of the most important things to look for in an app is that developer is still actively engaged and updating RemoteMouseKeyboardPro . I’ve had RemoteMouseKeyboardPro for years and multiple Mac operating systems and the developer has updated RemoteMouseKeyboardPro consistently over that time. This is independent development done better than the largest company can offer.

To the developer, I don’t have any useful input at the moment, but just wanted to get a review up real quick and say thank you!

I’ve tried a few of these phone-as-touchpad apps over several years! None of them are as feature rich as this. At best with apps like this you pay a few bucks for something rough around the edges, just ugly and only a serviceable touchpad at best. Not the case here! This thing lets you make custom keypads for any apps, all kinds of useful presets like numpad or media controls to access from in app or as a widget, this thing even lets you view your pc screen, and that was a really cool surprise. Check it out, the dev is still updating frequently so who knows how far this project can go.

I found RemoteMouseKeyboardPro after searching for a few weeks for something like it. Reading reviews and comparing capabilities and such. I initially got the free version to see if it did what I was looking for and was greatly impressed with this apps functions and customizable options. It works really well almost identical to a mouse/remote control. Exactly what I wanted.
One downfall which I think is not too bad is that when I finally bought the full version it started to crash, (could’ve also been my internet connection because that later changed) but sometimes it doesn’t want to automatically connect to my MacBook. I don’t mind this too much because I’m not too lazy to just do whatever I need to on my actual laptop if RemoteMouseKeyboardPro is down or maybe updating. But as a paid version I suppose it could be improved (?) I’m pretty laid back on regardless mostly because overall with everything laid out in front of me, I really like RemoteMouseKeyboardPro. It gets the job done and continues to improve anyway so it’s not a big deal.

One last thing. Every time I use RemoteMouseKeyboardPro my friends and family are always amazed that I’m controlling my laptop from my phone. I think it’s great and definitely worth the purchase for the full version.

This tiny little app packs more power than it seems to have. Sure the interface isn’t full of fireworks and pixie dust and you can’t make it your own custom colors, but it s amazing for remotely controlling your Mac. I use it often to turn my devices on and off through a shortcut on my HomePod, I use it to control my displays, to manage volume, lock and unlock the computers, remote into them, use them as external mouse and keyboard and so much more. I absolutely love RemoteMouseKeyboardPro. What I’d love to see is the ability to remotely log into the computers when not on the same network and RemoteMouseKeyboardPro would kill many others. Keep up the great work!

So good! The developer seems very devoted and regularly releases updates. RemoteMouseKeyboardPro has so many functions and it works so smoothly that I rarely use my mouse/trackpad and keyboard for either my iMac or laptop anymore! I can switch from controlling one to the other in 2 seconds! I am curious if there will ever be Universal Control functionality with RemoteMouseKeyboardPro now that it’s come out for MacOS Monterey..
Most of us are so accustomed to interacting with our smartphones that controlling the computer with RemoteMouseKeyboardPro comes pretty naturally. The layout of controls on RemoteMouseKeyboardPro are nice and intuitive so you will quickly be using it without even looking down for the trackpad.

This is a really great app with top notch support from the developer.
Unlike many similar products on RemoteMouseKeyboardPro store, this one includes just about every feature you would need for the initial price. No hidden features that cost you extra after you have purchased RemoteMouseKeyboardPro . Everything is included and everything is there.
I have tried Mouse Pro and Remote Mouse Pro and this is by far the better product.

The only negative is the layout, which IMO is a bit over complicated. Besides that, there really is the anything bad to say. If you are looking for something that has media controls, mouse functions, and an endless amount of customization for everything in-between... Then this is RemoteMouseKeyboardPro your looking for.

I like to hook my MacBook up to my tv. I use Bluetooth mouses and such, but I also tend to lose the usb thing or break the mouse somehow. I’ve tried other apps to make my phone a mouse, and being cheap I used the free ones. They never work that well and don’t usually last long before I delete them. I came across this one and decided to try it out. It has far exceeded my expectations. There is a pop up keyboard, volume controls, video controls (including ones for Netflix, VLC, and other video watching platforms). It also has controls for the computer like screen brightness/sleep/shutdown. I highly recommend RemoteMouseKeyboardPro.

I have tried a number of remote control apps and this one is head-and-shoulders above the rest. The other apps do not consistently remain connected with my PC or they work with one PC program but not other programs. I previously had to swap between two different apps to get the same functionality that this single app offers, plus, RemoteMouseKeyboardPro offers a lot more.

I use my PC as a media player to show content on my TV. The ability to create my own keyboards and macros in RemoteMouseKeyboardPro makes controlling VLC and even web-based players super easy. RemoteMouseKeyboardPro has never dropped the connection and works with every PC program I have tried it with. The ability to see my computer screen on my iPad is helpful, too.

This developer has put much care into the development of RemoteMouseKeyboardPro , and he responds to support requests very quickly. I do believe this is the last app I will need for remote controlling my PC, and I will happily delete the other apps I was using.

The biggest challenge you may face with RemoteMouseKeyboardPro is learning how to use all the features, but help is available online with step-by-step instructions.

My two cents: I was going to buy an external keyboard that had programable keys in order to boost my workflow. But they were very ugly and bulky, or too expensive. This is the solution! You can make your own layouts including the controls of each app or any key combination. You can have a layout for things that work across all apps, layouts for specific apps, or combinations. For example, I have a layout for online meetings with what need at hand, another for when I am writing, or collecting data, etc. I don’t play games, but I imagine you could use for that too. Just change the setting to prevent your iphone from going to sleep while on RemoteMouseKeyboardPro , and you’ll have an additional dynamic keyboard.

I have been eying another app to turn my iPad in to a mouse and keyboard for my home theater Mac mini, but this one popped up when I was getting ready to install it. It looked like it had better functionality, so I decided to give it a try. Am I glad I did! Not only does it have the trackpad/keyboard functionality I was looking for, but it has wake/sleep on lan, controls for my media players, (vlc play/pause/full screen!) support to add commands for Siri and ability to make shortcuts with special keyboards for all of my apps! I feel a little like this review might not be taken seriously because I am gushing with praise, but I am really impressed with RemoteMouseKeyboardPro. I can’t wait to dig a little further in to it and find more ideas for customization!

EDIT: I find that this one of only a small few that I open for remote purposes, and the only one that isn’t dedicated to a certain program on my PC. So, even though I hardly give five star reviews, this is one, just for the usefulness factor that I get. Full review below. I’ve been using RemoteMouseKeyboardPro for quite a while, and it works very well. I love not having to use my desktop mouse when I don’t feel like it. One of the best features for me, is that it has various keypads for things like Netflix/Hulu/arrow keys/NumPad, and I can make more with ease. Some PC games only require a low number of keys, so RemoteMouseKeyboardPro is perfect for those. The reason I gave it only 4 stars, is that any app/game/etc. is never ‘perfect’, and has room to grow/flourish/upgrade, so rating 5 stars is uncommon for me.

The track pad I was considering buying, no longer on the table. This allows me to only need my phone for my mac and other needs. As my TV remote is used for power, volume, and changing sources. I can use less and do more, gives me the freedom to be in another room on the same wifi and play music across my home from my mac. Launching apps like Netflix, or VPNs are a breeze, I can leave my mac closed and do everything as I have been before, but from the comfort of my couch, bed, or balcony. I haven’t found any problems with it besides the keyboard disabling and stopping me from typing, but that doesn’t last more than a couple seconds and I’m right back. Minor inconvenience, but no reason to drop a star. Highly grateful for RemoteMouseKeyboardPro and well worth the money. I’d rather spend a few bucks on an app than spend X amount on a trackpad that I can lose and that adds to clutter.

I must say this is easily one of the best remote apps for my iMac and I consistently use on a daily basis. When I first got my iMac back in 2013 I had started doing a lot of work with it and down the road came across RemoteMouseKeyboardPro while searching for ways to utilize its power. I’d recommend the pro version of this to anybody who has an iMac!! Seriously please continue to keep RemoteMouseKeyboardPro thriving Cherpake! I’m sure not the only one who enjoys RemoteMouseKeyboardPro. I’m not sure exactly why people give RemoteMouseKeyboardPro a low rating at times but it’s EXTREMELY powerful. Hear me out, the fact that it does almost everything that no other app does for Mac such as open applications with unique icons, control all audio, and remote screen sharing, makes it the best app out here on the store for mac. Best purchase I’ve ever made on the AppStore for an Apple guy like myself. Thank you Cherpake. Cheers!

I’m a composer, producer, and performer. After producing pieces with multiple parts, the goal became about how to create the same performance in a live presentation but with fewer people on stage. For this one particular event, I had no engineer, and the stage was not set up exclusively for my particular performance. Well, I connected my laptop to the house mixer, soundchecked it, and triggered my backing tracks in my computer’s DAW (digital audio workstation) wirelessly and flawlessly. Killed the show and got a standing ovation. No engineer, no sound man, no wires, and no hassles. Five Stars and kudos to this developer.

Evgeny, thanks for remaining consistent. This is still what I do, and especially during the pandemic I had no recording engineer to enable record and punch in for recording takes, to RemoteMouseKeyboardPro became a lifesaver. I did some of my best work in studio with no help whatsoever. So now over the past two years from Covid to now, RemoteMouseKeyboardPro has saved me thousands in engineer fees. Downloaded RemoteMouseKeyboardPro less than 3 hrs ago and already see how very, very useful it is. Although still learning how to access and utilize all of its features, Remote•Pro seems to deliver on its promises. Haven’t tried all the features yet so looking forward to seeing how it functions for other frequently used applications, especially Apple TV and GarageBand. Has the potential to totalmente eliminate hunching over the keyboard to operate the pointer or keyboard functions. Allows me to control a 15-inch screen from about 3 feet away. Tried it controlling video playback while viewing a docuseries. Once I figured out what the symbols/icons controlled, it made frequent fast-forwarding MUCH less onerous. Good job, developer! Me gusta mucho.

For a relatively inexpensive app, this thing has grown a lot since I first downloaded it. The developer has added a nice assortment of controllers (though powerpoint and maybe a generic game controller would be nice), along with plenty of nice little interface adjustments that make using RemoteMouseKeyboardPro pleasant.

While it feels a little lacking in the gestures department, and running the keyboard input through iPhone’s predictive text and spelling correction stuff would be nice given these baby-sized keyboards, everything else about it is so nice to use it earns five stars.

A couple of years later: developer still curates and cares for RemoteMouseKeyboardPro. He has made it significantly more powerful and usable. I have a Mac mini as my media center and Remote Pro is the go-to controller. I’d still gladly buy it.

Totally useful and powerful. So superior to Splashtop. I especially like screen magnification while managing my mini from across the room with iPhone. Very versatile media app management. Developer is carefully curating his app and is responsive to questions, help queries. I bought the bundle months ago and no regrets!

I’ve tried a handful of similar apps, but I’m so impressed with the quality of Remote Pro. I’m a software developer. I often switch between my iMac and MacBook Pro, and now, given the pandemic, I’m often doing it from the comfort of my bed or sofa. As an engineer, the fact that this functions so smoothly is just beyond impressive; as a user, it’s so convenient, and filled to the brim with clever features. This isn’t just a remote, this single app makes your phone a featured-packed, surprisingly integrated extension of your computer. I love it.

This is by far the best remote app for my Mac I have ever used. It works extremely well and the developer is very active with updates and bug fixes (it’s rare there is a bug but when one does pop up it is fixed very quickly). RemoteMouseKeyboardPro is all around great, I mainly use it as an iTunes remote for when I’m using my Mac to watch movies on my tv but I’ve found it’s great for long downloads or installing new software because I can mirror my macs screen and control everything without having to get up. Definitely worth every penny.
I paid full price and this is my honest unbiased opinion.

I’ve downloaded A LOT of apps over the years, but only a handful inherently garnered paid status in my library - this is one that did. There are a ton of features packed into RemoteMouseKeyboardPro and the dev seemingly keeps adding more as time goes on. I actually opened Remote Pro for the first time in several months (I just hadn’t needed it lately as I was spending less time watching movies, etc) and I was incredibly surprised at how much work had been done since the last time I used. The Dev deserves a lot of credit; not only does he continue to keep RemoteMouseKeyboardPro relevant and up to date but I would argue he keeps it outshining much of the competition, some of which is from much larger corporations. Support Indy devs and keep the marketplace diverse and innovative.

I record in a home studio for various types of commission work but I almost always record everything myself. This is an amazing tool that will allow you to adjust anything in your DAW when recording. I mix right in front of my computer and record, on the opposite side of the room, with a mic and headphones. It's a really big pain, while tracking, to play/sing hear and check the reverb or compressor - get up - adjust - check again - adjust - check one last time... This is no bueno.

Now that I have this seamless easy to use app I tilt my computer monitor so I can see it from across the room and I use my iPhone to switch between RemoteMouseKeyboardPro and the Logic Remote app. It allows me to make adjustments without ever getting up from in front of my carefully positioned microphone. It allows for a more seamless workflow and it allows me to get more done faster.

I didn't even take the time to understand how it works I just opened it, tapped on my computer and kept working.

This developer knows what he's doing. Great job man. If you've read this far, just get it. You would probably be wasting you time if you didn't get it at this point. Trust me it's not worth tripping over that very expensive mic that your home studio cannot afford to replace.

RemoteMouseKeyboardPro + Logic Remote app = the best productivity tool for the solo home studio musician.

The basic functionality of just being able to use my phone as a trackpad and keyboard is amazing enough - but that’s just scratching the surface for RemoteMouseKeyboardPro. Pre designed keypads for every streaming site out there. Don’t like the layout? You can customize it. You can create totally custom keypads to launch and control any site, macro etc.

I have my MBP docked with a 32in monitor that serves as my tv in the bedroom. I can control everything, from my phone, while laying in bed. Better than I traditional tv remote.

Actions also work perfectly with Siri and Shortcuts. Every morning before leaving I need to turn my monitor off. Using the Siri integration with RemoteMouseKeyboardPro, I don’t even need to unlock my phone. I just trigger Siri, say “monitor off”, and monitor shuts off within 2 seconds.

By far the best, and most used app on my devices. Honest review. From a very satisfied user. Keep it up devs!
