1. TextOnVideo forces you to watch not one but two stupid ads for some crap games that most of the users will never sign up for. I don't mind ads in a free version, what I mind is being forced to watch several in a row before even trying out TextOnVideo for the first time.

2. I finally got past the ads and tried to add some simple text to a very short 10 second video. Entered the text and then pressed export. After 3 minutes and watching the little wheel spin around and around and around TextOnVideo gets 1-Star. Has turned me off even thinking about paying extra to un-lock the full features.

Only reason why I'll keep TextOnVideo is to write more negative reviews.

To the developer, if you ever get serious on an upgrade and need a beta tester I offer to test for free and provide to you extensive feedback so you could have a product that does not rip people off.

I just downloaded TextOnVideo and every time I open it and try to select a video, TextOnVideo crashes. Just stops and then goes back to the home screen on my phone. Then when I go back into TextOnVideo , Before I select “video”,Ads come on every single time. Literally every time I keep trying to click on a video it’s plagued with ads I have to sit through.I couldn’t even get far enough to even experiment with TextOnVideo in what is supposed to be used for. This is a useless FREE app, unless you pay for it the premium .

TextOnVideo is a total joke. There are ENTIRELY WAY TOO MANY OTHER COOL text-on-apps out there today, than for this developer to be sooo greedy that they won’t even let us TRY the thing properly! I tried adding a literal * asterisk & clicked the ref color, just to TRY it out! NOPE! Throws me into their “Pay Me Now” scam page. Look- I am the queen of Apps. I pay hundreds of bucks for hundreds of apps on a monthly basis, and I am more than HAPPY to pay for apps that:
#1.- At least give us a decent free trial of some sort!
#2. Apps that are even worth the trouble & time of going deeper within TextOnVideo to try them out!
This one does not meet either of those two things, so I’m out. On to the next, which there are literally hundreds in TextOnVideo Store, y’all. Do not settle for this, as all it boils down to are some greedy “developers” trying to scrape as many bucks off of us as they can, hoping we don’t catch on to their deal. Apple really needs to buckle down on this kind of thing more these days. It’s getting a bit ridiculous.

It doesn’t let you choose the time duration of when you want the text to appear and go away. It just chooses a random spot in the video to put your text. You can literally only use 6 fonts that are all basic fonts you can get anywhere, and can only do a super limited amount of things. No transitions, you can’t space out letters or pull them together without paying for it. Honestly whoever made TextOnVideo just wants money and I do not suggest it at all. I don’t know what everyone else is saying, they are making this seem like the best app ever when it’s not. Do not download this🤷🏻‍♀️

So it looks like a great app- except the whole reason I downloaded it is to add font and the saved project is just my original video- the font wasn’t added. Also they have graphics included which are nice and white- would be perfect to add text on top of it but unfortunately the text is hidden behind the graphics- doesn’t make sense the way the overlay is set up. Lot of potential here - food quality I have to say but it’s being deleted due to the simple issue that what I’m editing can’t be saved.

So I download TextOnVideo and just when things seem to be fine, after noticing I had to pay to unlock the rest of the features, thinking it’s just $3, no big deal, unlocked the features and just when I was about to have the video saved, it just freezes up on me. Nothing happening. No, “YOUR VIDEO IS BEING SAVED”, nothing just some blank white square. So I delete and reinstall TextOnVideo , did the same thing again, smh. I’m not trippin about the $3 but the fact that $ could have went to something else.

So... I am very confused by people listing the HUGE issues & then giving 4 or 5 stars. I never want to give an app 3 or less stars but the things that are bad are TOO important. Ok so the main problem is that- & idk if this is bc I have an iPhone 8, maybe- it saves the text in a different location than you last had it. So I mean, say you put text on its side (so you’d have to turn your head to see it), like I did, & then you try to center it.... looks great, but then when you go to get it from your camera roll, the text will be still on its side, but lower than you had it (etc) which obviously defeats the entire purpose of TextOnVideo . And I’m not just being picky.... for example, on the first one I did, it literally cut half the words off. So I couldn’t even be like “oh well I’ll use it anyway” because it was literally only half a phrase LOL.
The fact I gave it three stars shows how good it is in concept, general design, user friendliness, etc...... but like......... if I can’t use the video I made....... what’s the point? Especially if you’re using them for business, like me. Hope this gets fixed, cause I really like TextOnVideo and think I’d use it a ton if not for this huge problem.

TextOnVideo has great potential. I think they should add more fonts that you can get for free, and allow you to use music in your video for free as well. Maybe even add a song selection section in TextOnVideo where you can look up a song even if it isn't in your library. TextOnVideo is great, but could be better! I can't wait for updates.

The pro app has all the essential tools to completely customize text for your video. It's sad how iMovie for iPhone doesn't have these features, and that we have to turn to third party apps to customize our videos with text.

I purchased VidLab because it initially had a great text feature until their most recent update (as of Jan. 2017). Now, I use this for my videos I post on Instagram.

Keep in mind: you get to fully customize your text with music from your mobile device with the purchased version. The free version is limited but still great.

So TextOnVideo is absolutely wonderful. I just wish you didn’t have to pay to add music. I do know of alternate apps to do that for free though so I still love it! It is a bit hard to use at first but once you figure it out, it works great. When I got TextOnVideo, I wasn’t expecting much. I was ready for it to cost like a bajillion dollars to add text or something or be overwhelming with ads. Now there are some random ads that pop up but really not that frequently. In conclusion, TextOnVideo is wonderful but does have a few flaws!

I love TextOnVideo! It's very useful when, someone like myself, edits videos. I am able to take credit for my work by using TextOnVideo to label my social media name(without the apps own watermark being there). My reasoning for not giving it 5 stars, is the problem with all of the adds. It gets very annoying having adds pop up every 5 seconds. Other than that, I would highly recommend TextOnVideo.

Love this tool! It's user friendly and easy to use BUT unfortunately one can only add one line of text. Would have gotten 5 stars if the option was there to add new lines of text so I could edit lines differently. If this feature is there it's yet to be found

For narrating a story or just adding a title. Doesn't ask for a lot of money to unlock more advanced features unlike a lot of apps. Pretty user-friendly as well. Have to wait until edits are done so you can see if it looks good when the movie is decompressed, though. You have to get to know what to expect before you can foresee the outcome accurately.

Just started using TextOnVideo. I’ll update after I’ve played with the tools (which I can access free by writing a review).

I expect a good app to charge somehow. I’m a designer, so I’m looking for an easy & quick way to add decent type to videos & photos. I’m more than happy to write an honest review in exchange for unlocking the pro tools. TextOnVideo looks good so far.

I thought that all of the deferent options were amazing, and the fact that it was mobile is even better! I can do so much more with TextOnVideo. However, I would like it even more if the video quality was better. It’s not as good as I’d like to be.

With all the tools unlocked, I really can't find a better app. Takes up very little space on my phone, which rules because iPhones are garbage for storage. Amazing ability to edit fonts, size, skew, rotation, opacity, everything. I used to use fontcandy, but this is way better.

I love finding apps that make my life easier and this one does it. One recommendation I have is to make it possible to play the music as you scroll to find the best starting point instead of having to guess then preview. That would make things even better. 💯

This is one of the better apps in that it actually works how it says it going to. It isn't buggy and there isn't a headache trying to upload the videos to edit. Everything is simple yet high quality product is rendered at the end. I waisted 2 bucks on another app that didn't work, just a bunch of nice packaging, but this is the real deal.

Edit* Need to ADD the ability to have the text on video for certain amount of time. I was using InShot to edit my videos cuz it’s quick and easy but the text options are very limited. Couldn’t adjust the font size like you can with TextOnVideo. You could only make everything smaller by moving your fingers which in turn my stuff crooked. Really enjoying TextOnVideo so far

TextOnVideo does several things very well. First, you can add text easily (an app that does what it says it will?! No way!). Second, it gives you a lot of control over the style and effects, and much of that is free. Third, it gives you the opportunity to get extra features free by leaving a review, which I consider good customer service!
