NOT FOR PUBLICATION (1) 24th November 2025, 12.30am: Page 118: Through the Night - 1st paragraph is a jumble. I assume that the piccolo and tuba players' names should appear under the first piece. It would be unusual to itemise particular instruments in a Beethoven Symphony (none of which has a tuba part). Similarly, each of the pianists' names should immediately follow the work they are playing. (2) University Challenge (a) can you please identify the titles of the pieces and the composer(s)' names shown in printed notation (piano score) which occur a few seconds into the programme. (i) top RH corner of the screen, C major with alla breve time signature, marked moderato, dolce, and (ii) simultaneously, on the LH side. I assume that they are one and the same. (b) Some of the questions are extremely long. On a few occasions the question master pauses briefly and a team member, understandably believing the question to be complete, answers, only to be fined five points and lose the opportunity of a bonus, potentially prejudicing the outcome of the competition. (c) May I request, please, that the opening image, with its migraine-inducing, rapidly intersecting red/blue/white/brown lines be replaced with something more gentle on the eyes? Thank you
