Just used this on my trip to Dallas and back to Indy. Downloaded before I got to the airport and followed the instructions. Was able to watch live tv with ease. Defiantly a good app. I was also able to track my flight while on the plan and see where and how long was left on my flight. Great job with AirtimePlayer. Read the instructions people if you are having problems!

AirtimePlayer is horrible. I bought my movie on the airline website and downloaded AirtimePlayer before we left the gate. When I tried to play the movie from the website it directed me to AirtimePlayer per usual. Then AirtimePlayer wouldn’t even try to play the movie I purchased, just kept giving me an error message: “Sorry, an error occurred while playing the video. A DMR (Digital Rights Management) error occurred. Please try again. If this occurs again please restart AirtimePlayer or your browser.” Never once tried to play my movie and now I’m $5 out for a movie I never got to watch.

It was perfect...until it wasn’t. My movie froze with more than an hour to go. The screen then went black and only played audio. No matter what troubleshooting that I tried, nothing worked. I could even fast forward and hear the whole movie, and read the subtitles. It was so disappointing since it was a movie I was looking forward to. And, AirtimePlayer only works in the air(plane), so my $ was wasted.

I recently used AirtimePlayer on our Southwest flight. Worked as described and had no issues access videos. Access to the live TV channels offered, movies and more. I thought it worked great and had zero issues or app crashes.

I downloaded this before a round trip flight on Southwest and watched the live TV feature with no issues. Both flights had WiFi on the plane. This was a great free perk.

I’ve had AirtimePlayer for a while and always use it when flying. Today when I tried to use it, i got a message saying AirtimePlayer had been compromised and i May possibly be redirected to a replica app that would have access to all my banking data! Oh no! Where did the real app go! Please fix!! Let me know when it is safe to download it again!

Installed latest version before flight. Ran their test to ensure that the sw portal could play a video in airtime and it was successful. Purchased movie and it would not play. Airtime would spin for a couple minutes and then either close itself or show a message about drm. Can't play the movie nor refund my purchase. I'll see if I can dispute the charge through PayPal.

On my last trip to Dallas I could not watch many of the shows that I wanted to because AirtimePlayer gave an error message saying that I needed an updated version of AirtimePlayer . However there isn’t an updated version on AirtimePlayer Store!

Very disappointing to have free movies but it dropped the movie & disconnected 10x‼️‼️ I finally did get to complete it before landing tho and was advised to email SW to let them know.

Hard to review something that doesn’t work. It has been down loading for 40 minutes on iPad with all latest updates. Have paid $13 so far (WiFi plus movie) and battery is running out, and no movie. Southwest should realize that it is creating more ill will than it engenders.

It worked fine on my flight I loved it. It was smoothly ran. I was on the plane for four hours and it was awesome.

Better function for live tv. However, it no longer works for most series tv. Concerned about purchasing a movie for longer flights. Still helpful for the middle seat!

The only option I have (literally) when I open AirtimePlayer is to “Access the portal,” which takes me to the Southwest website, where I can’t choose a movie because I “need the Airtime Player app to watch Movies” and gives me no options whatsoever (or TV shows).

Not much usefulness with AirtimePlayer. Very buggy!
Flight tracker no longer works. (My last flight tracked me from Dallas to Dallas?)
Glad it was free because no one will pay for this with anything other than frustration.

2. Look at the free movies first.
3. Most of the time the problem is the aircraft WiFi.
4. There are no “controls” in AirtimePlayer.
When the plane is working, AirtimePlayer appropriately opens the browser, puts you on the aircraft page, and away you go.
