DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ It is good but...

I wish the both of the apps were combined having to go to separate apps all the time to draw different things is really annoying I wish there was a pencil in both of them I wish that the pens were in both of them really adobe I really wish you would just combine both of the apps by now i’m an artist I absolutely love your program it’s free it’s good I like it I just wish
That you were combined both and also no smudge stick tool really... it’s really annoying that I can’t combine the colors I can’t have a good fade I know that your app is mostly meant for making logos but I really really wish you would combine both of the apps and add a smudge stick it’s really annoying that I can’t combine the colors or make the colors fade out
So please for the love of God add a smudge stick but I genuinely love the watercolor brushes
And please please just combined and the stupid apps
If you read this developers thank you I know it’s really long but I genuinely want your app to be improved on. me and my mother both use AdobePhotoshopSketch and I love it it has a good system there’s layers all kinds of things I genuinely love it. it’s just I wish that you would do things that other things also do other free programs that are more crappy than you. you like one of the best free programs I’ve ever found please continue what you’re doing but please make some improvements and for the love of goodness add a Smudge stick! thank you for reading!

Blown away by the watercolor in this app

Kudos to whoever programmed the watercolor part of AdobePhotoshopSketch! This is my favorite painting app by far, and I’ve tried several including the most popular and paid art apps. What keeps me coming back (addicted!) to Adobe Sketch is the beautiful subtlety of how the paint interacts with the surface. Other apps can achieve fairly realistic edges and blending, but with my brush stylus and AdobePhotoshopSketch, I feel like I’m painting with watercolor, the way real watercolor works. I forget that I’m working in digital format because the tools seem to work the same way. The paper is “wet” at first and the paint interacts with it, spreads and dries down. Washes interact with each other, and the flow setting is so intuitive, works the same as deciding water to pigment ratio. AdobePhotoshopSketch is so realistic I even found myself instinctively lifting paint. Not erasing, but lifting with water just as I would in real life. Love the rest of AdobePhotoshopSketch too but I’m especially appreciative of the obvious care that went into the watercolor functions. Thanks!

One wish: it would round out the experience if I could have a palette of preselected colors set out instead of choosing anew each time I change colors, but I get by with the color picker. It’s just a little slower than having key colors already “mixed” and at the ready while I paint.

Almost 5 star worthy, BUT.

Ok so let's start with the downs. Can't zoom in very much, needs few more starting brushes ( not that big of a deal ). And where you can put pictures in it so you can edit them, now I do not know a lot in this (I just know the basics so if there is a way I will probably find out soon). 😐😍 it's really good also because it has layers and I love the " paint brush " with the paint texture it's AMAZING definitely my favorite brush out of all of them I've tried so far. If you could make the paint brush be able to be more fine/thin that would be great 👍🏻😃😄. I love this and I'd say it's about 7 out of 10 compared to a general PC version. I think all it needs is a few tweaks to be one of the best ( maybe even the best ) photoshop/editing program on AdobePhotoshopSketch Store. This is probably the BEST photoshop type thing I've tried besides sketch book ( another one for IOS App Store ). Overall this is great and I use it every day to improve my editing/ animation skills, I also like to do this as a hobby ( when I'm bored ) or just for fun. 😄 ( edit ) Please make it so we can zoom in more... I animate on this and I love AdobePhotoshopSketch but I wish we could zoom in a little bit more. Please add this and this will be better this is already AMAZING! 😄.

RIP Adobe

Adobe’s creative ecosystem makes it almost impossible to be creative without signing up, signing in, digging into your bank account.... monthly, working without a network connection and paying for another upgrade to the application. I’ve been working with Apple products since 1989 and I consider myself to be fairly tech oriented. I bought an iPad Pro specifically to work with lightroom and other Adobe products. Honestly, I can’t get half of their products to work anymore. Unless you are some kind of Adobe fan boy, you will realize that there are other products out there that far surpass the performance and price of most Adobe products. Save the monthly fees and your sanity from trying to get this bloatware to operate as you would expect and FIND ANOTHER WAY. Adobe was is king once upon a time but all empires eventually collapse. Adobe is more interested in connecting to your bank account for its monthly extraction than it is interested in creating a product that are actually useful. I don’t want your slow cloud, I don’t want to be stressed out with my machine can’t remember my Adobe ID so that I can use your app, I don’t want another monthly fee so that the application that I already purchased will do what it should already do. Skip this product and go give your money to a developer who will actually make your creative experience seamless and enjoyable. Like Procreate. Now I’m gonna go delete all of adobes applications off of my iPad Pro and I will never look back.

It’s amazing, and free

I’ve been using AdobePhotoshopSketch for a while now (two or three years, maybe?) and its REALLY GOOD. Of course it has its downsides, like limitations on certain things such as the layers and brush sizes, but otherwise, its great. Besides, its free.
At the same time, there are some features I would like to have. For one, it would be really nice to have a fill/paint bucket tool. It’s really time consuming to finish the line art of a drawing then having to create a separate layer to color in everything. With something like that, 15 minutes of base coloring turns into 30 seconds.
I don’t really have a problem with the layers because I never really use too many, merging some together whenever I reach the limit. However, I’d really love the zoom to be bigger. I understand that adobe sketch isn’t a vector based app (at least I don’t think it is...), but when I try to add detail to something, the limit to the zoom is pretty unhelpful.
Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a fairly high quality art program for the minimum price, I suggest Adobe Sketch.

2 years now and things are still the same

Amazing app but ridiculous. Been doing some research and file functionality and managing your brushes still seems to be a feature that’s "brushed" aside. No option to delete brushes transferred from the CC files to iPad. You cannot move or rename them either. No way of telling if you already uploaded your brushes while navigating through the CC folder. If you get a duplicate of over 300 brushes your out of luck. Official forums from over a year ago only offer a solution to uninstall. The other option is just plain ridiculous. They want you to delete your brushes form CC, but that still doesn’t tell me where they went on my device. I don’t even know if the duplicates were removed when I reinstalled AdobePhotoshopSketch because IOS and adobe won’t allow me the access to that kind of quality of life. The brushes are the only appeal to AdobePhotoshopSketch currently because I use them on my PC. UPDATE:Brushes are still there and did not delete. I like to stay in control and organized so this really turns me away from AdobePhotoshopSketch . UPDATE 2: Wiped my CC folder. Reinstalled Sketch. Brushes still present, so they’re hidden in AdobePhotoshopSketch somehow

Simple and Easy to Use

I have used this continuously for the past 2 years with 2017 iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 1. It works really well. I like drawing with pencil, so that is honestly all I have used. But I can say this has made me like drawing more on an iPad than in real life (odd to say that) Functions such as undo, repeat, ability to create layers, copy drawing, translate layers, etc., become second nature after enough use. And when they do, it feels very fluid. Give it time to build this second nature, you won’t be disappointed.

Now for a comment to the developers (not a complaint).
One thing I would like the developers to do is allow you to reduce the pencils/pens on the side bar. So far I have used the pencil, pen, and eraser. I don’t use any of the others provided. It would be nice to hid the pens I do not use and ONLY have the ones you use out. Again, this is not a complaint, this is more of me thinking of something that (in my mind) could make AdobePhotoshopSketch even better. After all, it is an awesome app that is entirely free.

Stunned! PLEASE READ

I had searched so hard to find an app that would seek my art needs. I looked at some animation apps, some weird kid doodling ones, and some very high tech apps. I finally got this one because of the great reviews. I thought it was pretty hard to use at first, and thought about getting a new app. BUT I decided to try it out. Happy about my decision I have created some of the cutest artwork!! This helped me evolve my art style (which I was desperate to do.) It surprisingly became a mix of both my old and new art styles which is WAY better than either styles individually. Many compliments to AdobePhotoshopSketch, and thanks for letting it all be free. AdobePhotoshopSketch should cost 4.99, but I’m glad it doesn’t! I have no current requests to this wonderful app except for a smear option, so thanks for reading my review.

Wonderful Horizon, but...

This new suite of Adobe apps is another powerful tool to assist designers in broadening their capabilities at providing services that are in synch with today’s demands. Being able to create, edit and share professional quality designs from your phone is an asset and in today’s competitive market. Each of these apps are unique and integrates seamlessly with your Creative Cloud projects.

The only issue I’ve had to date is dealing with some less than intuitive menus and the absolutely unnecessary amount of spam that gets tagged in to any design you share through texts... it borders on ridiculous. We don’t need to know in multiple different following messages who made AdobePhotoshopSketch , where you can get it, what it does, who it’s from, links to web pages.... on and on, all from sharing one picture. Clean that up and not spam the crap out of my contacts, with your ads forcefully being delivered through private messaging, and we have an almost perfect suite of tools!

Well yes, but actually no

Alright, AdobePhotoshopSketch is actually great for drawing offline and just having a snazzy car ride to school, or when you get bored and you have a while until you get somewhere. What it isn’t is something you can use to make full on masterpieces. It’s being said by a lot of people that there aren’t enough brushes and stuff but I’d like to emphasize the fact that it literally says “are you an artist on the go?” That means, translated into regular people talk, “are you sitting on a bus right now bored out of your mind?”. It’s intended use is for you to sketch and draw on it while your sitting on some subway train or in your moms car. Just so you know, don’t get AdobePhotoshopSketch expecting to get a masterpiece maker, it’s not that. It’s still awesome to pass the time.

Also, if you see this developers, I’d really love a feature that allows you to insert pictures into it and edit them, it would be fun. Thanks for reading this, -Vwenties

Great app but libraries brush panel needs a view by group

Okay so this is little but it’s really annoying. in the libraries panel when you import brushes I wish there was an option to also view by group, because I import my brushes from photoshop cc desktop I have a library called brushes and in my brushes library I have them group by name for example lense flare brushes, smoke brushes, cartoon brushes,ects... all in a their group but all under the same library, but when I open adobe sketch and go to the brushes panel all the brushes are in the same library with no option to see them by group like in the desktop version of libraries, so I have to scroll through 100 brushes just to find the brush I need I hope you guys add this cause I would hate to just make a new library for every single set of brushes. I mean it shouldn’t be hard it’s already an option to group in the desktop apps just wish the mobile was the same. Thank you

Could be better

I’ve used AdobePhotoshopSketch for over a year now, and I love it. To the people complaining that there’s no cut and paste option, just fiddle around with AdobePhotoshopSketch some more and you’ll find that you can duplicate and transform layers. If the creators/developers of AdobePhotoshopSketch stumble upon my review, I want to say that I’d really like a fill option. It’s time consuming to color things such as hair and find and erase any stray marks that crossed over the lines. On other art programs, there’s virtually always a paint bucket option to fill in shapes. However, this amazing app doesn’t have that feature! If there is, please tell me how to find and use it.
Another thing: when I enlarge a layer, it becomes more blurry and pixelated (especially if drawn with the graphite pencil). Will you please change or add some things so that no matter how I dilate the drawing it’s resolution and quality with stay the same? Thank you!

Good

Overall I find AdobePhotoshopSketch pretty good, but would be nice to have some basic elementary features added.

For example, I find it a tad awkward not to be able to clear a sketch layer. I either have to start erasing the entire canvas (can be tedious), or I have to delete the entire layer and then immediately create a new one. Why? Why can’t I just have a menu command that simply clears the contents of the selected layer?

Second, I’d like to have the ability to simply assign a color to the background layer other than the default light gray/white. Why is that not possible? The only “easy” solution I found is to create another background layer on top of the non-deletable background layer, and I fill that with a color. So now I have two background layers: the default white, and a colored one. Isn’t that an overkill? Just allow me change the color of the background layer and call it a day.

Beautiful

I love AdobePhotoshopSketch and all the adobe software on the iPad. I am not a total adobe fanatic but the iPad apps are so well crafted. AdobePhotoshopSketch is easy to use but not too simple that you wish it had more. There are shapes and rulers to help you keep a neat look. Many brush options, 20 maybe more and each brush has its own settings. Supports 30 layers. Layers have opacity and can be blended, transformed, Merged or moved between adobe apps by holding down the layer and dragging it onto another app like adobe draw in the multitasking view.
If you have the apple pencil it just gets so much better. Pressure sensitivity is supported as well palm rejection.
I would say AdobePhotoshopSketch is for you if you like doodling, concept art, digital drawing and painting.

Can’t open Non-Native PSD files.

While AdobePhotoshopSketch in general is absolutely fantastic it doesn’t work well with the other adobe apps. You can import files from Creative Cloud, you can open psd files that did not start in Adobe Sketch despite being able to save Sketch’s files to psd. So if you wanted to move from your laptop to your iPad you could not and if you saved it from your laptop and try to open it back up in Sketch you could not.
I would honestly give this a lower rating if it weren’t for the fact the user friendliness and other features were not amazing. It’s sad to see that other creators drawing apps can not only save in psd, open it, interact with adobe’s creative cloud and still offer all of sketch's features and more baffles me. I would love to continue using AdobePhotoshopSketch but the inability to crossover makes it a no go for me at the moment.
