Fluenz Reviews

Second time I have had to install, uninstall, reinstall, and reload all the chapters (which takes about 6 hours). Zero help from customer service other than stating check your phone. I have an iPhone 7 Plus that is up to date with all current updates. The program when working is great, but this cost too much money for this many errors.

Update: 6 months later decided to try again. I have installed, in-installed and repeated this cycle now ten times. Fluenz IS AWFUL! sound goes out, freezes frame, etc. this is a very very very expensive program. Why is Fluenz so bad and customer support so apathetic. I love the content. WOULD HIGHLY DISCOURAGE FROM PURCHASING unless you are solely going to use on a computer.

To go without any updates ?

I wanted to share my recent experience with this app after the latest updates. The user experience has significantly improved, especially when downloading sessions—the navigation is now incredibly smooth and easy.

I love this program! The enhancements have made language learning even more enjoyable and efficient. Kudos to the this app team for their commitment to improvement. Highly recommend!

Loaded the new update on my iPad and now the program will not open. Splash screen opens for a second and then app shuts down. Help!!

Thank you Support team for your quick response. In order to get the update to take I had to delete Fluenz from my iPad, shutdown and restart the iPad, then load the latest version. Viola success! Muchas gracías

I really like the methodology this app uses in their lessons. It feels much more personal, and the grammar lessons are structured in a much better way than other language learning apps. I also do the this app in person immersions and zoom lessons, which the software lessons compliment perfectly. The combination of all three has proven highly effective for me!

I have tried most of the language learning softwares and although they all have some positives, for me, this app has been the best.
I am making real progress and , for the first time, I have the courage to speak to other Spanish speakers. The introduction of new material alongside reviewing what has come before is the best.
Highly recommend this program.

This program is different from the game based language apps. It teaches the grammar needed to communicate and to be understood. For every hour invested, my language skills improved significantly. For those serious about learning Spanish, this is the program that I recommend. I still play with the other game based language apps, but my real learning was with this app.

this app software is easy to use and a fantastic way to learn. I’ve been using it since 2021 and my Spanish ability has improved immensely. The software requires me to speak and write in response to questions, which is very effective and reinforces what I am learning. It is by far the best language learning software out there. If I ever master Spanish, I’ll use this app for my next language as well!

The Spanish gave me solid fundamentals. It’s really up to the user how fast or well the learning or retention is seen or able to be applied. I love it. I can get in and out of trouble in almost every environment when it comes to Spanish now. If I focused I would be literally fluent. I live close to Mexico so for me immersion reallllly forced the utilization of what I learned out of me. It’s very helpful to take away your own options. Practice practice practice. Buenas suerte

I have used many language programs and taken classes over the years in my quest to learn Spanish. this app is by far the best out there by FAR. I started with Fluenz , which is robust and an amazing place to start. There are 5 levels and so much to learn within each level. As I made my way through Fluenz , I realized this app also does an immersion program in some amazing Spanish speaking locations so of course I had to try that out too and let me just say it was one of the most meaningful weeks of my life. From there I started the Zoom classes so that I can stay up to date and can continue using and learning Spanish. If you want to learn to speak Spanish and feel comfortable doing it, I highly recommend the this app app and program. Every teacher is SUPERB and will help you build the confidence to get out there and actually speak.

I have been using this app since 2009 when it came on CDs in a bright red box. I have used it several times to “cram” some basic French and Italian before a trip. Obviously that did not make me fluent, but a lesson a day for a month before traveling equipped me to get by for basic tourist needs.

I’ve used this app Spanish much more, but off and on until last year, when I travelled to Mexico for an immersion course. Since then I have completed all 5 levels of the software. I can now communicate clearly in most situations. Not perfectly, but understandably.

As good as the software is, working with the coaches in person is even better if your time and budget allow.

Fluenz is so amazing i’ve brought The Spanish language back in 2018 and it’s so helpful an is far better than any other app that I use, Rosetta Stone is joke compared to this and the attention to detail the videos and the learning sessions are amazing I picked up on the spelling and speaking so quickly and I say Fluenz has been very useful Sonia does an amazing job. Once I finish the Spanish I will pick up another language from Fluenz again! 🙌🏻😊

I have been using this app tutorials for the past 18 months and have made huge progress in learning the language. I knew no Spanish when I started and now I am a competent conversationalist and can even watch Spanish television. The lessons are very well structured with great review sessions and constant reinforcement. i did not have nearly as much success with either Duolingo or Babel. The this app program is superb and worth the investment of time and money if you are serious about learning the language

this app is very different from other apps I have used. I started out with all the usual ones and felt like I was not progressing. I like the pacing and the format. I think the video explanations are fantastic. I'm finally starting to understand how to use "ser" and "estar"!! Gracias, this app team. (I saw in the this app community that the this app team had asked for folks to post reviews, and so here I am. They have been very responsive on customer support, and I feel like it is a team that really cares about language learning, hence my review).

The this app software has just the right amount of repetition and new material to keep things flowing and one confident of their progress. It is well organized and intuitive with attractive graphics. Over the years I have purchased and worked with a number of the other big names in language (Pimsleur, Duolingo, Rosetta Stone, to name a few). Though the others are also very good, I feel I have learned much more consistently and continue to enjoy the process with this app. Highly recommend giving this app a try.

Sonia is a wonderful teacher. I’ve really enjoyed using this app and currently learning Spanish. I login via website for learning, and also use Fluenz when traveling about, as it provides access to the entire program, including flash cards and audio.

I like the rigor of typing the Spanish phrases as it re-enforces learning. Fluenz appears to work fine on my iPhone Xs.

I’m working hard to complete my learning of Spanish so I can use it with locals as well as on travel. I’m excited to start learning other languages as well... French, German, Italian, and Mandarin.

I tried other programs such as Duolingo and Berlitz, and now I found a language program where I am making solid progress. Be sure to find someone to practice with, either online or in person, so you can put into actual practice what you learn with this course. As Sonia says, you must practice in order to learn. this app makes it easy. Just practice each lesson every day and you will certainly make progress. Hasta Luego!

I remember when I first got this app French on a big stack of discs in a shiny red box back in 2012. I can’t remember if it was $400 or $500 back then, but I do remember thinking— a year or two later when I finally finished every lesson in the program, also taking notes with pen & paper, just like in a classroom— that it was some of the best $400 or $500 I ever spent.

Now around a decade later & with some of my learning having slipped out over the years: it’s simply such a wonderful experience being able to review material on my phone, and for that I’m thankful to this app once again : )

I bought Rosetta Stone and this app at the same time. However, I only use this app now because the program actually explains why verbs have different endings and has plenty of practice using the different sections delegated to life situations. In my opinion the other programs lacked this. Also, the program states they use Spanish that is familiar to South America and Spain and leave out slang so you can be understood in both places which I never realized could be an issue. Anyways if you want a great program that will stick with, this app is the program. My other programs just gather dust

My wife and I purchased the this app software before it was software and on CDs. The CDs were really good but the newest version of the online software is exceptional. We also planned an immersion trip before the pandemic and this app worked with us to delay it until our schedules finally allowed us to go. We have finally completed an immersion week in Mexico City and the experience could not have been better. The hotel, food, and cultural experiences were perfect. But most importantly the teachers far exceeded my expectations. Will be booking online sessions and another immersion for next year. Thank you this app for building such a wonderful platform to learn Spanish.

I’ve been using this app for years. It’s the most comprehensive and easy to use language learning app out there. It brings together so many different modalities - reading, writing, speaking, and especially the instructor-lead sessions. And, their customer service is A+. Simply couldn’t be happier.
