Magic LED Light v2 Reviews

I really love the lightbulb product that is attached to MagicLEDLightv2. The problem is that the Apple Watch app has stopped working. Very frustrating. I would contact the developer directly but unfortunately I have not found a way to contact the developer. I'm hoping that you read these reviews. Once that issue is fixed I would be more than happy to give the product five stars.

I like this controller, I think it is the best on the market. Function that I like most is the music control. Well, it’s not a color organ but still it has built in crossover that controls light rhythm but not color (would be nice to have simple color organ functionality).
Problem that I have is not with controller but with application - I cannot connect it at the same to controller (or group) and Bluetooth receiver. I think this is a very simple modification to make. Hope MagicLight staff will find my message.

I love MagicLEDLightv2 . I have three separate Bluetooth controls for the various lights in my party bus. It works great. My one improvement I would recommend would be to allow it to change to landscape mode as I am using it on a mounted iPad mini. The screen does not rotate along with the mini. Is likely a simple fix but would be a huge improvement.

Hello. There is a glitch compatibility with iOS 11.1.1. I get the add device failed message. (I already had MagicLEDLightv2 on the same phone and it worked perfectly) I have restarted my bulb multiple times and it still does not work with MagicLEDLightv2 . I also have MagicLEDLightv2 on my iPad running 11.0.3 and MagicLEDLightv2 run perfectly fine.

MagicLEDLightv2 if great or it was until today when the colors would not work when I tried to make the lights purple they would be blue and when I tried to make them red they would be green the only colors that I can make it are blur and green I’m not sure why but I would really appreciate it if someone could help me fix this problem

Does not work with the new iPhones. Please fix

MagicLEDLightv2 does absolutely nothing. When installed I click on the refresh icon on top right and nothing happens. The only buttons that work are "?" "Add and delete group". No Bluetooth ssid's appear. Even when my device is connected to the Bluetooth led remote through settings.

Great app all around no issues other than iPhone on iOS 14.0 has a issue connecting to 1 of 2 of Bluetooth controllers, iPhone on iOS 9+ has no issue connecting to both controllers

app was messed up for a while making the light a very expensive regular bulb but they got things sorted now and it’s back to working just as before with iPhone 6s. MagicLEDLightv2 itself leaves something to be desired but it functions and allows for multicolor /dimmers as promised. So all in all worth it i say.

I have deleted and re downloaded MagicLEDLightv2 multiple times now, and the unit is still not connecting to my wifi.
When I first got the unit, I didn’t have an issue.
Thought maybe it was my update on my phone that caused the issue. Just did another update on my phone, and still am not able to access anything on MagicLEDLightv2 . Is there another app that can be downloaded to access the lights?

I love this bulb because it’s so affordable and works perfect for bedroom lighting, streaming set up, etc. but opening MagicLEDLightv2 every time is very clunky. It would be so nice to be able to turn it on and off from a widget on the lock screen :)

So glad I found MagicLEDLightv2 to replace the one that controls the bluetooth SMFX light bulb since that company’s app was delisted on MagicLEDLightv2 store, the bulb must be a rebrand. Still love the bulb and MagicLEDLightv2 works as good as the old one did.

Would be a 5 Star review but when music is imported it won’t play, and the music won’t dance to it. It works through the mic function but the reactivity of the lights isn’t as good since the import music function is inoperable. Great app though!

Great app, bought it specifically for the mic and music function and I’m loving it except for one thing, is there a way to make it where it uses only one color and/or a set of customized colors? Thanks.

While the phone connected MagicLEDLightv2 doesn’t connect sends me a “please turn off power first, then add new device within one minute after turn on power “

The New Bluetooth device must add to the phone within a minute after switch on the power

But the phone is connected please fix it

I agree with the other review about the light setting and rising to quickly. Also the light really gets jumpy when it gets close to turning off. Smooth it out please.

I’d like to see a feature that allows choosing a temperature of light Eg. Sunset should be on the warm wave length such as starting at 3500k and slowly working down to 1800k before the turns off. Sunrise should start in the cool spectrum at around 3800k and work it’s way up to 4900k or 5000k.

You have the best lamp out there at a reasonable price.

Does not allow you to play music through your own speaker to allow the lights to do its job. As soon as I switch to disco mode, it switches to my phone (very low volume vs my speaker). This is a big problem and embarrassment. They need to make a selection/option to where you can chose if the music should be played from the phone or a speaker of your choosing. Wack app.

Though the red light is illuminated on the red disk and it also shows power to the transformer brick the lights will no longer turn on with the switch or through MagicLEDLightv2 . Help please

I should have a widget to it so I can swipe and turn it on and off and dim it from the widget rather than unlocking my phone and stuff

The colors on the do not represent what the light is suppose to be. Green is blue yellow is purple etc.. The light installed in my Jeep is awesome. Please fix this so I can give your product and app 5 stars.

I feel like MagicLEDLightv2 WOULD be awesome but I wouldn’t know I can never connect always says failed or try again later takes way to many times to actually get anywhere

I love this light in many ways. However, I bought it primarily for its dawn simulation function, as it boasts a gradual wake up. Studies emphasize the need for a gradual wake up, and MagicLEDLightv2 lets you set it for a gradual wake up. In reality, it turns on very very quickly. I set it to gradually wake me up over the course of an hour, yet it actually brightens fully within a minute or two. So, that is false advertising. I not only spent money on the light bulb, but also on a fixture that I could hang over my bed. I thought I was saving money because a gradual dawn simulator is typically expensive. Now I have to start all over again.
