Device Magic: Get Mobile Forms Reviews

When I was 9yrs old, my parents pulled my little brother and I into the living room and told us they were getting a divorce. I, knowing well what that meant, lost control of all my emotions. Anger, despair, confusion, and hopelessness all simultaneously. My little brother however, only being 6yrs old, didn’t understand what was happening. He just stood there; vacant and unaware.

But this day in particular for me meant so much more. Not only was this the abrupt end of a chapter in my life, but it was the day that I learned that my father was not the strongest man on earth. I saw the same amount of salty tears fall from his face as mine. The man that I regarded as the strongest, toughest, most ironclad person on earth here before me, blubbering like a child. It was there I learned that my father has his weaknesses and faults like everybody else.

For the longest time, even well into my older ages, that day was without a doubt the worst day of my life….until today using this program. Like seriously. Imagine being a 9yr old having a life changing existential moment, and having that moment get trumped by an app. Imagine that. I’m actually impressed. If I were a better man, I would have given this thing a 5 star rating just for defeating me. But lo, I am not that better man.

My life has been changed. And not in a good way. Thanks.

We were evaluating a number of mobile data collection platforms in
preparation for an 8-country survey on vaccine hesitancy. Device Magic
(DM) was one of the platforms we evaluated, and immediately decided to
use it for the survey. DM has a very intuitive and user-friendly
interface. The ability to drag, and drop a variety of field types
vastly simplifies the process of form creation. Behind the simple
interface lies a very powerful engine that provides functionality to
rival any database management system; but best of all, DM offers
unparalleled tech support, which made it possible for us to develop
the survey forms in record time! DM may not be the most cost-effective
option out there, but it is certainly worth the investment in time
saved!

I started using DeviceMagic and the DM team when a client wanted to digitize all of their forms and it couldn’t have been more seamless! The desktop and mobile interface is easy to navigate and the support team is quick to respond, identify any issues, and is personable on top of that!

We have been using forms for the past 6 months. It has allowed us to improve the way in which we collect field data, and has allowed us to better serve our customers. The API has proven useful for automating a bunch of stuff, and we are just getting started.

Extremely functional! The program has made everything so much easier and they have a great support team for any questions!

To create your own forms (as every user will need to since the few existing options are very specific and won’t be used) it requires the user to setup an account through a web browser (and the website isn’t optimized for mobile access) so this isn’t very useful for creating or using forms on the go... In addition it requires a subscription...

It would be helpful to allow edits in the General Information section as the auto generated text or copy is not as accurate as it could be if edits were permitted.

App does not open just stays at the d screen then goes back to the iPad home screen. Recently updated DeviceMagic and problem started today

If there is something that the form doesn’t like it should let us know what it is instead of having to search for it

This is only adding to time wasted in the field for reports. You have to enter same information 3-4 times and is certainly not user friendly.

To submit report errors hard to find and can not take picture of on-site cooler storage

1. needs a review entire form option before submitting— its hard to see if you have everything listed when lists are collapsed/within other tabs

2. need to be able to see history of old forms submitted and access them anytime

3. when saving a form, the title is not persistent— gets overwritten every time you make a change in the form and saves— please make the title stay so that we dont have to retype it every save

—otherwise, DeviceMagic works well and is relatively easy to navigate—

I’m still learning, but gaming moreConfidence as I go along.

I watched this add for DeviceMagic and it said it was going to help me find my missing AirPod but DeviceMagic has absolutely nothing g to do with that.

Has quickly become one of our team's favorite apps!
Our field sales team uses DeviceMagic to sign up new clients using a simple form, including signature capture. It’s really taken the hassle and coordination out of the forms process and has allowed us to quickly tweak and deploy new forms on the fly. Plus, we’ve been able to connect it to other apps so that a completed sign up form triggers other actions in our on boarding process. Last but not least, their customer support is very responsive and super-helpful. Would recommend DeviceMagic with no hesitation.

This product does a good job at what it is designed for. The company continues to actively support their product and is very timely with fixing most issues. I was able to take forms I had created in another defunct form entry program and rebuild them to Device Magics platform quickly and easily. The fact that they allow import of data using csv helping speed the process up!

Simple, powerful and flexible. DeviceMagic allows us to capture data from multiple users in the field. Data capture is sent directly to Google Doc spreadsheet as well as email address if we choose. We have been empowered to read metrics in real time rather than recording data on written carbon paper. The guys who do support for DeviceMagic are awesome!

DeviceMagic is so easy to use and does exactly what we needed it for. The forms and field types are customizable and you don't have to have developer skills. All of the data can be automatically uploaded to a Google Sheets file (amongst other more complex options) which make utilizing collected data a streamlined process. Love DeviceMagic !

I think we should be able to have access to contacts email from DeviceMagic . It is difficult to look into other application just for this.

Brilliant app. Features are great and capabilities are flexible. I was working on building a similar app when I found this. 4 stars if you enhance to allow in-app survey creation. 5 stars if you somehow redesign to allow more rapid data capture. Keep up the good work.

By far the best I've used. My team loved the shared forms feature and the centralized reporting is really great.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Very easy to use. Would love to see a separate dashboard app.

DeviceMagic has been a godsend for our small business. Love the capabilities and linkage to google docs.
